  3. Am I Michael Douglas now?? The Don.
  4. ....if only he would have given him the change, like he asked.... The Don.
  5. It's USD. They give back in riel. I do know how to convert currencies you Jester. The Don.
  6. if the coke costs 85 cents then that doesn't give me enough money for the phone call... why doesn't the miserable, tight ar$e korean just change his dollar bill for him out of common courtesy, he is grifting in his country after-all?? The Don.
  7. It's exactly the same here. 'No change, have to buy something...' Many times I've asked to change a 20 baht note into two tens back in the day to make an overseas call and was outright refused. Where was the helpfulness? Where was the common decency? The Korean man was working in the USA, quite possibly without a green card, and he couldn't even show a local even a modicum of respect.. The Don.
  8. How am I? Are you saying that Cambodians aren't friendly? But let me guess - Thais are, right?? 😄 The Don
  9. I even bought a tuk tuk driver a pack of fags, which cost me an astounding 30 pence. He was so grateful that he almost got on his knees to begin prostrating.. I told him no need and I would buy him another pack tomorrow. He said he would take me anywhere I wanted, day or night, just give him a call.. Lovely, genuine people. The Don.
  10. Yes! I didn't have a single issue with any of them.. Lovely, humble people. The Don.
  11. Nom Pen, Siem Ream and Ban Lung/Rattanakiri. Why? The Don.
  12. Absolutely. They couldn't do enough for me. I felt like royalty there.. The Don.
  13. Apologies about the multiple topics but I am now bored to tears at this wedding reception.. I recently went to Cambodia for 2 weeks and found the people there to be incredibly friendly and welcoming, but also in a natural sense, not a transactional one.. Why do you think this is? The Don.
  14. Well done, Donald. Hit em where it hurts, right in the gonads (aka, their wallets).. The Don.
  15. Why are you so rough around the edges? The Don.
  16. ....that's an outright lie! The Don.
  17. My last topic before I have to join this God awful wedding in the sweltering heat.. Why on earth should the USA be friendly towards Thailand in 2025? They aren't a democracy, they let the Russians in unfettered on 90 day visa exemptions whilst the west has banned them for their illegal invasion of Ukraine, they are corrupt to the hilt and treat farangs like criminals when living here.. 90 day reports, house inspections, bla bla bla... What makes Thailand think they aren't deserving of the 36% tariff that was just imposed? If I were Donald I would have gone for 40%. Stuff em. Can't wait to get back to Kobe. The Don.
  18. I don't lie. But Thai politicians couldn't lie straight in bed! The Don.
  19. ...Do you tell them to call out Thai politicians then? Publicly? Good on you if the answer is yes!... The Don.
  20. You know all about that.... The Don.
  21. Why you keep replying, dude? The Don.
  22. I am Don from Palermo, currently living in Kobe and attending a wedding this weekend in Thailand. The Don.
  23. ...Famous last words, Malcolm.... Be careful if you are on the roads today!! The Don.
