  1. Very worrying, but only demonstrates the lack of a robust structure to ensure the legality of riders. The police do little or nothing and Thai health and safety is non existent. No wonder people don’t bother getting licences because they know nothing will happen to them, or if they do get stopped it’s likely a small cash payment to the boys in brown will ensure no further action.
  2. He finally realised he couldn’t cut any more deals with other parties and when Anutin and the people’s party confirmed their alliance the writing was on the wall for him. Rather than face the consequences for all his dishonesty he fled like the coward he is. Don’t hold your breath to see if he returns for his court appearance on the 9th, that’s typical BS from the liar.
  3. Articles in the media say his aircraft had enough fuel to fly to London if required to.
  4. Let’s see if he honors the agreement he made with the people’s party for an election in four months. My gut feeling is he won’t.
  5. Thaksin’s on the run. He said he’s going to Singapore but his plane has diverted away from the route and looks like the POS is heading towards Dubai.
  6. If it’s that bad, why bother reading it?
  7. Every week now more stories about tourism in decline and the efforts to revitalise it. Maybe those involved in tourism should come out of their cave and instead of trying to put glitter on turd admit the current political upheaval and the way it’s affecting the currency has a lot to do with the situation. Most tourists watch the exchange rates and the way the baht is bouncing around along with prices going up because businesses are trying to make money for the drop off in custom is a perfectly good reason for them not to come and to look elsewhere in the region for their vacation. As an aside, many who go to Bangkok, Pattaya and Phuket for their fun have said they've changed. They’re nothing like they were before and they’re disappointed and unlikely to return again. Don’t kid yourselves that sex tourism isn’t a factor, it employs so many people within it that when that market is in decline serious repercussions are felt throughout all the others.
  8. Nothing in Thai politics is black and white. Too many folk with fingers in the pie to ever get a decision made promptly. As long as this ridiculous system exists Thai politics will never ever develop into a modern democracy.
  9. Until the generals see what political party or coalition is likely to become running the country, and if beneficial to them, then they’ll decide.
  10. Expect some kind of reaction from Thaksin about this. He knows his grip over the country is diminishing rapidly and will make more and more extreme proposals to retain power for him and his clan. This is the ideal time for him to be removed from Thai politics for good.
  11. That’s the act of a desperate man who recognises his dynasty is over and his grip on Thailand is diminishing rapidly.
  12. “Thai officials hope to demonstrate leadership in managing medical cannabis responsibly”. In Thailand? You’re kidding me.
  13. Even after her ousting it’ll be safe to assume that the next incumbent won’t be the one, or party, elected by the Thai people. The wealthiest 2% will never let that happen.
  14. This whole shambolic episode is caused by two individuals, Hua Sen and Thaksin. Former friends who now want to destroy the other. The Thai people are expected to demonstrate their patriotism as they’re fed BS in the media about the situation and encouraged to believe it’s all Cambodia’s fault. It’s not, it takes two to tango.
  15. Observing and listening to trump hosting the European leaders it doesn’t take long to know he’s clearly out of his depth. His remarks and comprehension are of what was being discussed was child like, proved by his ridiculous comments, especially to Macron on the hot mic moment, about he thinks Putin wants to make deal. He has no clue of the politics of the whole situation whatsoever. His whole involvement is to get the Nobel peace prize, because he’s jealous of Obama. What he fails to understand is everybody knows it and it’ll never happen!
  16. He’s not called taco for nothing. As he demonstrated again last Friday and on Monday in front of the world’s media he’s as intelligent as a rock. He’s being manipulated by those within his inner circle, not just Putin, and rely’s on them to come up with these ideas and let him take the credit for. The only thing the a$$hole is concerned about is himself and money. He’s a shyster nothing less.
  17. Having read the original article in German It’s obvious that the article has been directly translated by asean now, but my original comment is valid. No facts, just rumour and conjecture.
  18. Purely done for making the headlines and divert attention from the fact his naive daughter help escalate the whole saga by getting played by Hun Sen when he released their private phone conversation.
  19. No link, and states adaption of article by ASEAN now.
  20. No source quoted for this article and the basis of changes are based on “rumours”. Pointless conjecture.
  21. You can guarantee 1000% her daddy is doing everything behind the scenes to make sure his little puppet remains in power. He can’t afford not to because he knows bigger fish are circling for a piece of his corrupt ass.
  22. It’s quite obvious that many involved in Thai tourism don’t have a clue with what’s happening in it. So they just make stuff up in order to justify their salaries and keep their jobs.
  23. Meanwhile flights between Bangkok and Phnom Penh still continue.
  24. This guy can’t come to terms that he and his family days in politics are diminishing. He stupidly assumed that his daughter would easily win the election and never considered that another party, the move forward party, would defeat his own party. His popularity decreased when he sold out to the other parties he once fought in his efforts to thwart the move forward party from taking charge. He is one of the key elements why the country is in political turmoil. It’s time he faces the consequences for all his BS and is jailed and his families hold on Thailand removed.
