Growing up in England as a child in the 50s I saw children and adults pitifully damaged by Polio, they were struggling in leg irons and leather straps. Now WE DO NOT SEE POLIO VICTIMS ANYMORE. Thanks to the polio vaccine introduced in the middle of the last century. I, & my generation were a beneficiary of that vaccine. We no longer have to live in fear of Polio. There are countless other illnesses that vaccines have saved us from, Measles, Diphtheria & countless others including Hepatitis, the vaccine for hepatitis AKA Jaundice was not invented until recently- certainly after my trip to India in in 1973 where I caught Hepatitis in Kashmir. There are now four different types of Hepatitis If you are thinking of travelling to India for any length of time you should consider getting an anti Hepatitis jab for sure. Ignore these looney anti vaxers. They are lost souls polluting this forum with their ignorance.
