  1. I'm certain this is well understood - not that you are any teacher or know anything about algebra 🙋
  2. Unrest? Okay My favorite. Love the 50s Donut 👍 Unrest...
  3. So, just a few blocks of smouldering streets. Got it. 👍 I'm just noting the irony Princess
  4. No one is deporting migrant farm workers picking fruit and vegetables. Currently, the focus is fairly urban / felons. Shi+, you try and find fault in anything that doesn't fit your small minded liberal panic list. So what if they were? They are in the country ILLEGALY When you can't make a legal argument you fall back on ?? pity? When that doesn't work you fall back on raw economics.
  5. At the same time, standing in smouldering American streets waving Mexican flags. 🤣
  6. Never seen phosphorescence in the water there. This the eagles that everyone describe are in all likelihoods bhraminy kites the eagles are far more rare although they definitely exist in the Andaman. See the most on lipe Yeah there's lots of really nice nature on Phayam my last trip there was 2009. It started to get really backpackerish and I was done with it 👍
  7. Lipe? The entire andaman is like that it's extremely shallow. A hot tip is if you're going on a day trip check the tides. It's very possible you will spend a bunch of money and hassle going out to an island only to find the tide completely out for the duration that you're on the island. It's still nice and all but it's pretty much a waste of money. Unfortunately ties just don't turn around the next day and do something completely different so you would have to wait quite a while perhaps to get a decent amount of water in to enjoy and photograph Generally speaking peak beauty is high tide
  8. Island needs to be 30km+ offshore and preferably made of granite not dirt - although many islands in Indonesia are stunning in their own way.
  9. How was Panyi? We have lots of friends on the island that often ask us to come visit. I guess one of the reasons I've not done so is that I enjoy a bit of alcohol in the evening. Imagine everyone was quite friendly. What was the food and the accommodation like?
  10. Except this bird is very commonly kept in Thailand and prized for it song. If they take it off the endangered list it's very possible that it will end up right back on it practically the next year. The Chinese in the Muslims down south are absolutely mad about songbirds
  11. If you have money and want to go to a beautiful place and do a bit of snorkeling where you will see some very big fish and other amazing creatures and corals try Raja Ampat, Indonesia It's not cheap to get to, not cheap to stay, not cheap to snorkel but really the only game in town if you want to see the last bit of hardcore and biodiversity in the world
  12. Koh Phayam has loads of snakes. Yes, cobras. Lots of lovely nature though... Lots of Oriental pied hornbill, kingfisher, parakeet. Bats. Lots of ouchy stuff. If you are lucky you can see Thai flying squirrel on these islands (Bangh). It's marsupial. Everything in the water completely collapsed in 2010. In some rare pockets in the Andaman the coral continues to struggle in attempt to make our minor come back. Last year was the best I've seen in a great long time but it's still nothing close to 20 years ago. Some of the fish are slowly returning but a lot of the smaller creatures and just the biodiversity is not there
  13. Definitely snakes. Lots of vipers, some scorpions. Last season I saw a lot of massive centipedes. Absolutely <deleted> nasty
  14. Too many illegal speedboats and tourists. They corrupt Park system couldn't manage the natural resource problems / tourists and so Bangkok shut it down. Those pictures are nice but don't even come close to doing Justice to the beauty of the place. It has the longest stretch of coral white sand beach I believe anywhere in Thailand. Koh Tarutao is a big island and it has some very long beaches but just not the same. There are about a dozen islands with spectacular five star beaches worthy of a Conde Nast cover. I really don't like bungalows. I don't like the experience on many levels. They used to be fine but now there's too much drama and expense Since my first post I thought of another two islands I've been to!
  15. I won't give my top two away. Only encourage other campers and friends. Similans is probably the prettiest although due to the price, tourists and limitations I wouldn't recommend. I can tell you one of my favorites bc it's closed. It's called Koh Tachai. my wife and I set a record there camping 10 days straight. I have the record for the longest foreigner stay in the known history of the island. She has the longest Thai national stay accepting national park staff there. I have many of these records although others long gone as I just return now to a few islands each year
  16. Trump will be relevant until his last day in office. I think thereafter he will have extremely diminished relevance other than possibly endorsing Vance. That woman left out of irrelevance - she has no shame.
  17. No. Needs to go through probate. Your wife may be equally or more in line for the money as well. If that doesn't suit then create a will, but he'll probably have a fight with her anyway. Trust him enough just to put the account in his name and you keep the ATM card?
  18. US won't miss the trainwreck. She's entirely irrelevant
  19. My count is something like 26. Many visited multiple times, stay a week or so. Probably 3/4 camping and balance in a bungalow. I have camped almost all Thai natl marine parks. On one island not Phuket, Koh Chang or typical gulf islands I've spent approximately one year .. cumulatively over 20 years - camping 👍 I actually wrote a book, but decided not to try and sell it because I would rather have the campgrounds in the snorkeling to myself rather than some small bit of money that book might have brought in. I met my wife on the island... camping 🐝
  20. It's this CONSTANT whining to open ended questions... Did Trump...?! How badly does Trump?! Did Trump break the law when ... Is inflation... Spidermike posts this tripe all the time. The answers are always - No. If nothing else - wait and see.
  21. Agreed. Everyone needs to STFU let the dust settle, see what transpires and if warranted then criticize. This board is exactly same as MSM, a reflection fully. It just shows chaos and noise. It's disinformation, lies and deflection. Guarantee there are paid shills on AN. Others just losers with toouch time on their hands
