They found a prostitute in Thailand!
"A 34-year-old Russian woman has been arrested on Koh Phangan in Surat Thani province for allegedly providing sex services on Thursday" Does anybody know what she is doing Friday to Wednesday? Why is she only a prostitute on Thursday.

Wise transfers
Well it wasn't a large amount but you know what Thais are like. It was the end of the World for them and boy was I getting some grief like it was my fault. Having sent them them the messages from Wise they are still staying the Thai bank was not at fault

Wise transfers
Hmmm With me a few hours, may be a day but never a week. Any way it seems Wise are suggesting that there is some sort of technical glitch as the receiving bank rejected the transfer.

Wise transfers
I have been doing transfers for several years without issues.

A little bit more information from Wise "I'd like to clarify the £XX you sent faced a technical issue with the partnering bank after we've reviewed the transfer furthermore. It's been addressed by our relevant team and we are working to resolve such." Looks like some odd technical glitch.

Wise transfers
An answer from Wise and I have to admit I am a little confused. "we have identified that the bank partner declined the transaction because it was initiated outside of their banking hours." So does that mean I can only do a transfer to Thailand 9 to 5 Thai time and Monday to Friday and not on public holidays, Never had this problem before in several years of using Wise and I would guess that most of the transfers I have done from the UK were outside of Thai banking hours. Surely the Thai banking system just hold a transfer over until business hours the next day when they switch their computers on. Extremely surprised Thailand doesn't have its banking computer system going 24 hours a day 7 days a weeks. How do ATMs work outside of banking hours?

Wise transfers
Right just got an update. Might have jumped to gun a bit as it seems this might be an issue at the Thai bank's end. The Thai bank rejected the incoming transfer and returned it to Wise. As of now I have now idea why it was rejected. Two subsequent transfers went through without issue. But I would say this has bot been a one off issue with other week end transfers being delayed over the last few weeks. Was never an issue with several years if use with Wise.

Yes I always send a small amount the first time I set up a new Payee. But this is a repeat transfer.

Wise transfers
Ha ha ha build waiting period into the planning. This money is going to a Thai person. Thai planning consists of what is happening now this instance or in the next 5 minutes. Thais are incapable of planning for tomorrow, next week, next month. Transfer from the UK bank to Wise is quick so not an issue. But point taken.

Wise transfers
Well given my recent experiences don't use Wise. I can't even get an answer out of them what is going on.

Wise transfers
Update. Friday's transfer still pending. Saturday morning transfer done in seconds. Transfer done 11 pm UK time Saturday completed 3 am Sunday morning so not a bank holiday or week end issue. And this is a common occurrence now. Time to find a new transfer tool.

Wise transfers
Yes I saw all that. The first transfer was done on Friday and is still not complete. The transfer on Saturday was done in seconds. Every week end seems to me a problem now. Not just bank holidays. But surely computers don't take holidays.

Wise transfers
Does anybody know if Wise comes under the UK Financial regulator? I can't cancel the transaction but it is still only sending. I have had to send the money again which has gone through but the original money is just hanging there. Wise are totally useless now.

Wise transfers
But I sent a smaller amount this morning and the transfer was instantaneous. The transfer I did on Friday is still sending. Wise never used to be like this. They just take the pi55 now.

Wise transfers
Wise is normally pretty instantaneous but recently I seem to get unnecessary delays. Yesterday I sent £59 from the UK but today it still says "sending". I sent £12 just a few minutes ago and the recipient got it almost instantaneously. I have sent them a message to ask why. It just seems these days delays are getting more frequent. Fortunately this was small amount of money but I am concerned about what happens if this a large amount of cash? Anybody else experiencing this?
