That is as off January 2025! Your requirement to your country embassy, is show them proof of income. (Monthly investment dividents, monthly pension income, salary income if your still working in your country or in Thailand). The embassy only makes a sworn statement to Thai Immigration that your monthly income is the same if not more the the Thai monthly income requirement. (Thb45,000.00 min monthly of Marriage visa; Thb65,000.00 min monthly for retirement visa) If you cannot provide that to IGO, then the Thb400,000.00 in your Thai Bank for 3 month's for marriage visa or Thb800,000.00 deposit for 3 months for retirement visa). at times the IO will request a combination of both Monthly income and 3 month deposit. A word of advise, BBLC has a devised plan to hold you full deposit for and extra month. I have been told the Thb800,000.00 or Thb400,000.00 brings in good interest money to hold this money for you! I also see my regular pension from my home country being deposited eg; January 1 by my home country Pension group, verified deposit to Bangkok Bank, then does not get deposited on the same date 12hour time difference later for at least 6 - 10 days. Just a Dumb question, instead of the Thb400,000 for 3 month....If you have pension income, you need minimum Thb45,000.00 deposited every month for 6 consecutive month before applying. Make sure if your pension #1 is less than the required amount and you get 2 pensions a month as I read, make sure both pensions deposit into the same account. Bangkok Bank gave me the one - two that I could not bring in 2 different account proofs. I get 1 Canadian deposit and 1 US deposit and a private Canadian deposit each month and each in 3 different Bangkok Bank accounts. When I went to apply for the visa, I not only showed one statement, but 2 more Bangkok Bank statement all total over Thb152,000! Lucky for me one did show Thb75,500 while each of the other 2 showed less than the Thb45,000.00 required. Just a heads-Up!

I need some help from this forum. My Non-O visa will expire on June 20th. On April 16th I went to Embassy of Canada in Bangkok to process my normal Income Verification as I have had in the past 10 years. I was informed that the Embassy no longer processes these documents since April 1st 2025. Wow, now what to do? I contacted my friend who also used the embassy to process the Income Verification. He informed me to take my Pension documents (Government Letters of Verification) to Chiang Watthana or my November Embassy Income verification used at my thai bank for Account verification. Immigration officer informed me that the document cannot be used as it is over 30 days old. I was informed to take my Canadian and Us Government Income Verification to a translation shop and translate to Thai. I did that and returned 2 weeks later to Immigration, waited in cue for 1 hour 44 minutes only to be told by officer that this is not correct. Must have official Embassy document! Good thing the embassy gave me a copy of the official Government communication to Thai Department of Foreeign Affairs which was sent to Thai D.F.A as well as Thai Immigration specifically stating the change in policy and to assist any canadian citizen with income verification. This officer informed me no! cannot use, go to Thai Lawyer and get the document notarized. Question, am I wasting my time here? Has anyone gone through the same negative response from Thai Immigration? Let me know the real process. Thank You!
