In a 2005 international poll, it was rated the World's Worst Cuisine, beating out Russia and the Philippines). He could paint Buckingham Palace in gold to bring it up to "Oval Office standards", and get those palace guards dressed in something more appropriate like masks and camo, Finally, Trump could rename the PM's place 10 Downing Effect Street, to reflect Trump's overinflated view of his own intellect, stable genius that he is.

I suppose if there’s a silver lining, it’s that old MAGAs are already being measured for the box and soon will finally do something beneficial to the planet, which is to become worm food. This is where I got my comeuppance. I always operated under the (false) assumption that the majority leaned toward competence and rationality. I suspect the Founders had similar false views. That such a willfully ignorant, self-serving, wildly flawed corrupt moron could destroy what millions of smarter and more moral people spent 250 years creating was outside of my thought process. I grossly overestimated humanity as well as the strength I though the US system had at its core. Fortunately I learn from my mistake. I now see MAGAs and know they are ignorant, insecure sheeple, easily captured and directed by someone who tells them what their insecurity needs to hear. Without naming names, I see it even on this Forum. Losers who need to feel they've gotten a win, even if it's merely a vicarious win. I will never trust the US again, nor would I ever go into harm's way to serve it, as I willfully did in the past. It is undeserving of sacrifice. Sadly, despite its very human faults, what the US was intended to do, and what it could do to enhance the human experience, will be lost---perhaps forever---by Trump and his abject idiocy. The greatest thing the Founders did was to create a roadmap where total human equality---under the law, not owing to skills or effort---was in reach. Life is always going to be unfair---because some are always smarter, more skilled, more athletic, better looking, more motivated--but to put out a playing field where everyone not only had basic rights (free speech, freedom of the press, freedom of assembly, freedom of and from religion...equality under the law), but allowed people to rise to wherever their skills and ambition could take them was truly noble and novel. Under Trump, law is dependent on ideology and how it jibes with Trump. Try to hang the VP, and "we love you very much". Be honestly critical of Trump, and get audited by the IRS, have a broadcast license pulled, or be forced to spend lots of money defending yourself from a silly, vindictive indictment. Three branches of government---the "checks and balances'--evaporate as toadies kowtow to a single autocrat wannabe. Failure to worship the idiot-in-chief is now a crime or grounds for denial of entry into the US. You are right...the US as it was intended to be and could be is finished...and destroyed by a moron and his silly cult.

Let me recommend a book for you, as it seems to fit your zeitgeist. A fellow named George Orwell put out a novel where leaders think like you, and “thought crime” is right up there with actual crime, and this “thought crime” is merely disagreeing with the official govt version of reality. So catastrophic was the Footlong Felony, that I hear Trump is going scrap the nuclear triad and replace it with a variety of other kinds of subs, like Tuna on Rye, Italian Coldcuts on Parmesan Bread, Tonkatsu Pork Wrap, and Los Alamos (NOT Santa Fe) Chicken on Whole Wheat with extra chipotle sauce. ICE is not barreling into Brighton Beach to round up Russians; they prefer to focus on brown people. Trump’s brand is hate and hypocrisy and absurdity, which is why he owns the racists, Neo Nazis, white supremacists, QAnon, Incels, and Christian Nationalists (people who hate the very teachings of the man they claim to worship…Jesus). Those of us who are genuine patriots hold dear the rights the Founders put down, while Trump obviously hates most of them, from free speech, to a free press, to freedom of assembly. Just this week Trump has gone after a 4th late night host---Seth Meyers---complaining that criticism by Meyers of Trump was “illegal”. He wants to pull broadcast licenses from media that doesn’t worship him. He has sent masked, badgeless stormtroopers into peaceful cities in an attempt to intimidate peaceful protesters, and even periodically threatens to invoke the Insurrection Act as a way to halt any protest of him. Not so surprisingly, if the protesters support him, even if they are violent and cause bodily harm, they are “loved” and get pardoned. We speak out not because we suffer some "syndrome", but because we believe in American ideals and want the nation back on its work-in-progress path toward being everything it can be.

What I do see---my opinion---is that there is a strong correlation between guys who are afraid to compete or are intimidated by the rise of women and minorities and support for the misogynist and racist Trump. Even Charlie Kirk had the audacity to tell women what he thought their place should be, which was just making babies. The Nazi and racist and misogynist stuff that is now the core of MAGA is insecurity and inferiority manifested. I've benefited from two careers where neither gender nor skin color made a lick of difference. The only thing that mattered was could the person do the job. In my first career there were both females and minorities who excelled, and were awarded for their performance not because of anything DEI, but because they were good. In my second career, I had female and minority colleagues who, with salary and bonus, took home 8 figures (in USD), because they made the funds significant money. As one working both jobs, it was invigorating to be in such a competitive environment. It made EVERYONE ratchet up his or her game. Those intimidated by "others'" success, or who thought they deserved better because they were white males, were shown the door. It was put up or shut up (and go drive a truck or pour Slurpies). Guys who welcome the kind of free competition many societies now offer will not only maximize their own skills, they will be attractive mates for their female colleagues, or for women in general. I think the word Incels have given them is "Chads". Weak males will pine for that "AGAIN" time (from MAGA), where society kept women and minorities "in their place". Some will come to Thailand, thinking they can lord over the women here, failing to notice that Thai women are also climbing and assuming their rightful place in society, and will demand more than a big belly, a meager pension, and a bad misogynistic attitude from any partner. To succeed in business, in education, in gaining wealth, and in relationships, one had best be capable and willing to both compete and treat others as equals. No more free lunch. Goodness! PT Barnum had a saying about people like you. If you don't score at least 150 on an online IQ test, you're likely below average. The tests are not in any way accurate; they're marketing tools to appeal to those who are insecure. They are made to have you score high, and then they try to sell you stuff. Meaningless. You might as well make up your own IQ test and make your own website to catch insecure little people. Maybe you'll pull in a few suckers who will subsequently buy your product. If you want a real measure of your IQ, take an actual test given under controlled conditions. Mensa can do that for you. Some employers also hire test givers to administer actual IQ tests.

Well, you know full well that even if Biden's DoJ had released a video of Trump raping an underage Ivanka look-alike, Trump would have whined "Election INTERFERENCE!!!!!". Next November the Dems will retake the House, possibly also the Senate. Trump will be impeached, and even if Dems fail to retake the Senate, there are likely a sufficient number of Republicans who want him gone and---maybe even for selfish reasons of wanting to distance themselves from anything MAGA---will vote to convict. McConnell, Collins, Murkowski, maybe even Thune could vote to convict. Then again, Trump may well be dead by the midterms.
