Getting bored? Decided it need woefully primitive creatures to say "thanks for the cheeseburger" and "please help my daughter pass her spelling test'? So this deity/deities "created" around 2,000,000,000,000 galaxies, each with an average of 500,000,000,000 stars, just so in one galaxy, around one very average star, a 4.5 billion year process of evolution would be set into motion so that eventually there would be sentient beings who would be thankful for the cheeseburger? Seems these deities are rather inefficient. Also, somewhere along the line humans decided that this deity must be "pure love", when said deity is also responsible for tsunamis, earthquakes, childhood cancer, etc. These maladies are justified as "tests", as in, said deity created a child as a prop to suffer unbelievable pain just so those around the suffering child would have their "faith" tested....and then say, "Well, my child has gone to a better place". And what's with all the virgins? Personally, I don't even like virgins, but I guess that means I'm not close to godly. A number of religions have the Virgin Myth at their core. In Christianity, a deity knocked up the 14 year old girlfriend of an old guy named Joey, and then played deadbeat dad for 33 years. No matter the process, some deity then pulls a "soul" off the shelf and inserts it at some point into the zygote, and that soul then exists for all eternity, and if the soul's owners follows some rules, it gets an eternity relaxing on some clouds sipping sweet nectar. Then there's the ultimate bogeyman---the devil---the entity causing such things as stealing and lying and cheating. That entity is pure evil, while the entity that causes tsunamis, earthquakes and childhood cancer is "pure love". In a relative sense, the devil is far more morally superior. The biggest "leap of faith" is not believing in deities; it's believing any deity is good. The facts argue just the opposite. If there is a deity or deities, I have to believe they are nasty and rather enjoy inflicting pain and suffering, yet all the while demanding endless praise and compliments and thanks. That sounds much more like, for example, the Aztec gods. In fact, I can see why the Aztecs and others thought human sacrifice was being pious, because their god quite obviously enjoyed inflicting pain and suffering on its little creations, so the Aztecs were just putting on a show for Quetzacoatl or whomever. "We know you really enjoy pain and suffering in your humans, so watch us rip out this kid's heart...just for you!" Now please make our crops grow. I don't mind not playing Pascal's Wager, because it's not a yes/no choice, it's multiple choice, so the odds of picking the right deity or deities...from Zeus to Thor to Yahweh to Buddha to Quetzacoatl to Shiva to Allah to the thousands of other manufactured fantasies...makes it worth about as much as buying a Powerball ticket.

You get about 400 for signing your name, so stable genius Donny is not. 820 is maybe good enough for community college or a trade school teaching welding or truck driving, but for the Ivies---absent daddy's donation---one had best be 1500 or better. His SAT equates to somewhere between 88-93, which is to say below average. AOC is likely 130+. I'm sure Jasmine Crockett could also spot Trump at least 20-25 points.

6 January 2021: Another Day That Will Live in Infamy The attack on Pearl Harbor irrevocably changed the US. It drove the US out of isolation and set the stage for the rise of US’s soft and hard power in the world. Similarly, 6 January 2021 irrevocably changed the way the US sees itself. We thought of ourselves as a strong and almost indestructible democracy, but we were made to see how weak and vulnerable we really are. AAnd that weakness came from within, like a cancer eating away all that is good about the nation. Never in the two and a half centuries of the US has a President ever tried to overthrow everything the country was meant to be. Never has the US seen that degree of treason. It might not be treason in the absolute legal sense, but it is absolutely treason against US ideals and rule of law. Trump is a traitor to US ideals. Consider the facts…..Trump called his cult to DC for the 6th, for no good reason whatsoever. His Tweet calling them said “It’ll be WILD!”. There should be nothing whatsoever WILD about a pro forma certification by the Vice President of the results of an election certified by all 50 States. There was never anything WILD about any of the previous 44 election certifications plus second terms. Trump lost. He is a weak, insecure and selfish person, as well as a crybaby. He literally intended to use his cult to get what he personally wanted, and he had no problem if his desires resulted in violence and death. Trump tries to use people as pawns, and his cult is tailor made for it. In a new book, author Jonathan Karl gained access to personal notes taken by then-VP Mike Pence, who was called by Trump and ordered to not certify the election Trump clearly lost. Trump told Pence that Pence would be considered a “wimp” if he refused to break the law and honor his Constitutional duty as VP. In a move showing true courage and commitment to the oath he took, Pence refused to break the law nor follow Trump’s demand. Pence is a patriot. Trump is the wimp, as well as a traitor. After the call, Trump held his infamous rally on the Mall, his mindless cult ready to do his bidding that Pence has just refused. Trump, following lessons taught to him by disgraced lawyer and AIDS victim Roy Cohn, delivered a hate-filled and violent speech with a single “out”, though that out was not what was actually intended. Trump rallied his mob by using the word “fight” 37 times in that rant, and “peacefully” but once. Obviously, the mob heard the prevalent word and acted accordingly. Trump told them to “march to the Capitol and fight”. They did. Unless Trump is even more of an idiot than he generally appears, he knew full well his mob would be violent. They were not going to the Capitol to visit the gift shop and buy key chains and coffee mugs; they were going to engage in violence and do the bidding of the cult leader. They were going to try to stop the peaceful transition of power, which had characterized every Presidential change since the US’ founding. They were going to try to do exactly what Trump hoped they would do and intended for them to do. There was no other reason to call them to DC, nor tell them to march to the Capitol. Initially the Capitol police tried to stop the mob from breaking into the Capitol. The mob turned violent and began striking law enforcement, beating them, crashing through security barriers, even bear spraying Capitol police. 140 law enforcement officers were injured, some seriously. Once past the initial phalanx of police, the mob began smashing windows and using battering rams on lock doors, trying to gain entry into the building to not only halt the election certification, but also to hunt down elected officials the mob perceived as enemies of their cult leader Trump. Some members of the mob defecated on the floor of the Capitol and wiped their feces on the walls of that institution. Others broke into the officers of elected officials and began looting and ransacking. Some police were overrun and stopped trying to halt the onslaught. Others continued to stand against the terrorists and were beaten severely. When the mob tried to break into the House chamber, one security official drew his gun and fired into the mob, killing one of the terrorists. The mob pressed on. Outside on the Capitol grounds, the mob erected a gallows on which they intended to hang the Vice President, and perhaps other officials. Many were following Trump’s ongoing Tweets, and when Trump tweeted criticism of Pence for the latter doing his duty, the mob began a chant: “Hang Mike Pence”. All of this played out on worldwide television. Trump himself watched it in a room just off the Oval Office. Several officials in his Administration asked Trump to do something to stop it, such as call off his mob or send the National Guard, as Trump had sole authority to do. Trump refused and sat watching for 187 minutes, or 3 hours plus, doing nothing except hoping the mob would win. Secret Service whisked away the VP, getting him away from the mob and the gallows meant to hang him. Other elected officials escaped to secure facilities, while some hid wherever they could find refuge, sheltering in place. Eventually the police regained control and the terrorists began leaving the building. Only at that point did Trump, seeing his mob failed to deliver, tell them to go home, while also telling the very people who disgraced the Capitol and were hellbent on killing the VP, “We love you all very much”. Trump loves fascist terrorists. Elected members of the cult tried to justify or rationalize or downplay the assault. Some called the terrorists “just typical tourists”. Others suggested the mob was a false flag. Subsequently a meme has emerged that the mob was infiltrated by FBI agents and it was the bureau people who instigated the violence. Some MAGAs are so ignorant that they claim it was “Biden’s FBI” that did it, seemingly forgetting that the “6th” is two weeks before the “20th”, the date Biden took the oath and entered office. All of those excuses are pure MAGA nonsense, accepted by no one with any sort of intellect. Of course, most are offered by the cult as excuses. That day was a black mark against the nation, all who have ever served it, and most certainly against the prime instigator, then-President Trump. It was carried out by, at best, the ignorant and easily fooled of the cult, and at worst, by traitors. Those traitors include Donald J. Trump. As bad as that day was, the disgrace was compounded when Trump not only pardoned the terrorists who injured 140 police and intended to hang the Vice President, he even suggested they be compensated for time spent in jail. Also, all of those FBI agents who investigated the terrorist attack and all of the DoJ officials who prosecuted the terrorists, were fired from their positions at FBI and DoJ. 6 January 2021: Another day that will live in infamy.

There's a "big picture" thing here which doesn't get mentioned much. Being the 'buyer of last resort' in the world is what has allowed the US to both hold its position as having the world's reserve currency as well as live above its means, running up a massive Federal Deficit. The tariff nonsense, even if ultimately none remain (as Trump earns his TACO epithet) is prompting other nations to move away from the USD. The Fed has a tough enough time trying to control both interest rates and inflation. As the USD loses its reserve status, Trump could name David Copperfield as Fed Chair, and even he wouldn't be able to pull a rabbit out of his hat. Foreigners still fund upwards of 30% of US Government debt. Pick your poison.....high rates? Huge inflation? Fiscal discipline imposed the hard way, leading to a huge Recession? Then there's the 19th Century "logic" that high tariffs will encourage business to get behind the tariffs by producing domestically (something against which David Ricardo argued). Besides the fact production does not happen in an afternoon, as even garment factories take time to plan and construct, the production of the entire species is moving away from human labor. Jobs that were "offshored" were just in a temporary way station on the path to oblivion. This is only going to get worse as AI takes hold and obviates tens of millions more jobs. The decline of the US' position in the world was inevitable, as it's happened to every major nation at some point. Trump is just accelerating the US' decline. If the US is lucky, it might just become a has-been like the UK, a nation in a long slow decline into irrelevance. If unlucky.....Venezuela or Argentina.

Since I know the OP is incredibly fair and balanced---like Fox News---I'm sure he's appalled by the story of TaylorTaranto, a 6 January 2021 terrorist, who was arrested and sentenced for his part in the 6 January 2021 terrorist attack on the US Capitol. In 2023, the loser of the 2020 election, Donald J Trump, posted the home address of former President Obama on a social media post. Taranto, being a devoted cult member, and free after serving, drove to former President Obama's home in a van filled with a couple of machine pistols, hundreds of rounds of ammo, explosive devices, and even a machete. He was not there in search of an autograph. Taranto was arrested and put back in jail pending sentencing after being found guilty in a trial. In the sentencing memo, his criminal background was noted (his 6 January 2021 conviction) as well as the fact he went to Obama's home after Trump doxxed Obama. Two prosecutors in the DoJ office wrote the sentencing memo. Both were subsequently put on leave, and the sentencing memo was rewritten, with both Taranto's 6 January conviction taken out, as well as the fact Trump had doxxed President Obama. So we know in the Trump Circus, do your job and get fired or put on leave. Act like Trtump's other Carnival people and cultists, and all goes swimmingly.

When Trump was indicted for what seem like obvious crimes---though innocent until proven guilty---MAGAs screamed that it was politically motivated. An honest and rational look at the indictments, suggests otherwise. Trump has zero right to the classified documents he had at Mar-a-Lago, and all evidence says he lied about returning them all....until the FBI was forced to do a search and seizure, where they recovered hundreds of documents in plain sight. ANYONE else found to have such a wide range of documents would be in jail pending trial. If a real judge had been put on the case, a conviction would have been likely, as the case was truly a "slam dunk". There is similarly gross appearance of criminality in the Georgia indictment ("Just find me...11,780 votes") and the case against Trump related to 6 January 2021. The cry now among MAGAs---per the James case and others---is "nobody is above the law". Trump was above the law. Also, these new cases are clearly retribution, or "lawfare" as it is now called. A prosecutor was fired because he would not bring charges against James or Comey, but the insurance lawyer with zero courtroom experience "somehow" found reason to indict after a mere 3 days in office. To any rational person, that smells like retribution. Of all possible crimes committed in her jurisdiction, she chose one right off the bat that was hardly the most egregious possible crime in her district. If it walks like a duck.......retribution. Re James, the case is weak to non-existent. The law, of which she is accused of violating, says that her mortgage prohibited her NOT from renting the property, but rather using a third party---such as an RE management company---to rent it. James hired no such firm, and the "renter" was her niece. Even if she declared rental income ($1350 in 2020, used to compensate James for utility costs), there is no violation of any law. It looks like the insurance lawyer is not only unqualified, but is going to look like a clown. Elsewhere, the Comey case is based on a Comey associate who stated under oath he has no knowledge that Comey revealed anything classified to unauthorized persons, so Comey stating he revealed nothing while under oath in front of Congress is called "the truth". Both lawsuits appear frivolous, which means the prosecutors who brought the indictments could be in danger of being disbarred. Now let's have SC Jack Smith appear under oath in an open Hearing before Congress (Republicans will not allow this to happen, as Smith would reveal all of what led him to the indictments).

Simple question, for which there are ONLY two possible answers. Trump claimed, during a presser on his UK visit, that he stopped the 1994 Rwandan Genocide, where he also mistakenly said 7,000,000 died, which would have made it the largest genocide in human history. Question: Do you believe he really did stop the 1994 carnage? or He is clearly in a state of severe cognitive decline, believing his own fantasies?

Now if only Trump could run the so-called richest, bestest country in the world such that it did not have the highest debt, the highest number of incarcerated humans, the most gun deaths, and the most homeless people. Perhaps, just maybe, go out on a limb, make a guess....that all that new money MIGHT have led to the inflation Biden had to tame? Of course inflation is already higher under Trump than what Biden left him, job growth slowed to a crawl---and if the govt was open we'd likely see it negative---and economic growth has slowed. Yes, Biden really hurt you. How can you ever recover?
