FYI. The Bhumibol dam is releasing more water meaning a large amount of electricity is being generated. The Ping River here in Kamp Phang is the highest I have seen this year. If more rain comes and Bhumibol is spinning all 8 turbines now and water goes to the overflow, then Nakhon Sawan and to the South are going to need boats again.

Tim, I suggest to you if you live in Thailand to get your hands on a Yellow Book and you can go to the places you mention above for the same price as Thais. Dr. and Hospitals you have an option to either go to a Govt. Hospital or a Private Hospital. Going to either is up to you if you are pinching THB.

I know of 2 Thais recently who use Palmpay and have lost money from their bank to the receiver's bank {Bangkok Bank). She reported to the police, and she talked to others at the police station, and they had the same issues with the same bank. Police can do nothing and sent her to the bank and came away with the same answer as the police. After arriving in her bank account, the 3,000thb was taken out in 5 minutes. FYI Only.

With important documents that I send out to wherever I always use a tracking number, but that is just me.

Steven, I do not know about a reminder from the SS office as the cut off has never happened to me after all these years.

Obviously, you did not use the enclosed return envelope that was sent to you by SS. Maybe you should have used a tracking number to make sure of the destination point. You get what you pay for and then you never can show evidence of the send if SS cuts off your monthly payments. Just my thoughts as it is up to you how you conduct yourself.

I purchased a Thai Post envelope to put my SS document into. I then went to the window, and the lady gave me a customs declaration to fill out. Make sure you have your passport with you. The tracking number is at the top of the customs declaration and the receipt for payment. She then proceeded to weight the letter and then told me the cost. I paid the Thai Post 1,530 THB for the delivery. The letter then traveled to Nakhon Sawan for sorting and then traveled to the airport for the flight overseas. Hope this helps.

Thais and others need to stop reading Facebook/TikTok or just talking on the phone and drive the car/truck safely and things mentioned here would not happen so often.

I read a few days ago here that Thailand Post was snail mail. FYI, I mailed off my SS form I receive once a year on 8/29/2025 to the US. The letter arrived on 9/02/2025 at the SS office per Thai Post tracking on my computer. FYI follow up for you readers here.
