Meanwhile, the Middle East has seen war after war. Israel may have withdrawn from Gaza in 2005, but it never truly let go. What followed was not freedom – it was blockade. Air, land, sea – all tightly controlled. Two million people, most of them refugees from past wars, have been trapped in what many call an open-air prison. That’s not peace – that’s siege. In the West Bank, the story is no better. Illegal settlements continue to expand, carving up the land meant for a future Palestinian state. Settlers are protected – often armed – while Palestinians are pushed into smaller and smaller areas, denied permits to build even basic homes. Some roads are for Jews only. Is that equality – or apartheid?

Your opinion. What about Operation Shield and Arrow, May 2023? What about decades of occupation, blockade, starvation, administrative detainees?
