  1. One of the dumbest things that someone can do is to insult a people because of the deeds of their ancestors. Or maybe you think it's OK to blame Jews today for killing Jesus?
  2. In 2008, Pelosi’s net worth was estimated at just $31 million; however, it has now skyrocketed to $114 million, according to a different estimate from OpenSecrets. https://www.newsweek.com/how-nancy-pelosis-net-worth-changed-dramatically-in-congress-11005085 The Pelosis are heavily invested in nasdaq stocks In 2008 the Nasdaq composite index fluctuated between $2340 and $1530. Right now the Nasdaq composite index is over $23000. So, while the Nasdaq has risen anywhere from almost 10 times to over 15 times, the Nancy Pelosi's fortune has risen only about 3.5 times according to this article. Also, comparing the performance of smaller canny traders to the performance of Warren Buffet and other whales is misleading. Because of the huge amounts of major traders' assets, it's a lot more difficult for them to find assets that can make a meaningful difference to their portfolios.
  3. If by Brics you mean the yuan...that would mean people would have to trust the chinese not to interfere with currency markets. For instance not imposing capital controls. Given that Xi looks like he'll be in charge for a while, that won't be happening anytime soon.
  4. You're right. It just equates to being a bigot and an ignoramus.
  5. The "Special Military Operation"? Really? I don't think it's even illegal to call it a war in Russia anymore. But thanks for revealing the great gulf between you and reality. Edit: I looked it up and it turns out that it is still illegal to call the Ukraine War a war in Russia. Connda probably sympathised with the persecutors of Winston Smith in 1984.
  6. Deflecting much? What has that got to do with the fact that this President of the United States is pushing policies based on absolute falsehoods and claims success where there isn't any.
  7. It certainly was part of it. And it should be pointed out that the name of the bill that repealed it was the Gramm-Leach-Bliley act. All 3 were Republicans. So it was a joint effort. But as you may recall, the Bush administration just about gave up on policing the banks and wall st.
  8. Burisma was America's enemy? Yelena Baturina was America's enemy? Gabriel Popoviciu was America's enemy? And even if they were, none of this money, not one cent, was shown ever to have reached Joe Biden. So non-enemies of America paid money to some people who were not the President but shared the surname Biden. Joe Biden should definitely have been brought up on non-charges of non-criminal acts.
  9. And the way to tackle that problem is to slash taxes?
  10. But this article is about tax breaks for the wealthy. Which is about the income tax. And as I noted, there are people who get very upset by the spending contribution to the deficit, but keep mum when it's about slashing taxes.
  11. Actually, if there was a limit to how many stupid and dishonest things Trump said and did every week, then I would be posting a lot less. But one thing is clear: when someone makes the remarks about a member rather than about the subject at hand, that's a sign that they need to take a long rest. And maybe spend some of time educating themselves so that they wouldn't have to resort to such low tactics.
  12. Actually, no. They even take the scraps away. Which is what they're up to in the case of Obamacare.
  13. And I quoted the definition of "despot" to you. None of these people were in any governmental positions of power, much less despots as you claim.
  14. But almost a third of social service expenses is funded by Social Security most of which comes from payroll tax deductions. Much of medicare funding comes form the dedicated payroll tax and insurance premiums paid by seniors. There's also the fact that spending on veterans is assigned and Medicaid payments, not income tax. in 2023 that came to a total of And spending on veterans really oughtn't to be assigned to social spending but rather defense spending (or is it war spend)ng. That came to about $350 billion yearly. So it's pretty clear that $4 billion should be reduced by at least half as far as the contribution from income tax goes. And you're not going to believe this but there are people out there who object only to the spending part of the equation but have no problem with the slashing of taxes.
  15. Still waiting for some names of despots you claimed made payment to the Bidens.
  16. In fact, the Bush administration slashed regulation and oversight of banks and other lending institutions. And of Wall Street as well.
  17. And you are badly misinformed. Please share with us the evidence that Apple is losing money on its US operations.
  18. There's no reason not to know why since foreign despots were not showering money on the Bidens. For example, of the three names provided by SunnyinBangrak, none were even government officials, much less, despots. The one who comes the closest is Yelena Baturina whose husband had been the mayor of Moscow. But by the time she was sending Hunter Biden money, not only was her husband not in office but she had fled to London because of a dispute with the Russian government involving corruption charges.
  19. The estimates are that this will cost the government $220 billion in lost revenue over a 10 year period.
  20. I have no doubt these people were hoping to influence Joe Biden. There is zero evidence that he ever received a penny of that money. in fact, this topic is about one of the many dead ends that the Republicans pursued in their vain attempts to tie Joe Biden to his brother or son.
  21. I did a search for the cleanest man in politics. Oddly enough, Trump's name didn't come up. You obviously don't understand the difference between what is legal and what is ethical.
  22. It's time for another English lesson. none of these people are despots. None are even government officials. Here is the definition of despot: a : a ruler with absolute power and authority tyrannical despots b : one exercising power tyrannically : a person exercising absolute power in a brutal or oppressive way
  23. How the Trump Administration Is Giving Even More Tax Breaks to the Wealthy The Treasury Department and Internal Revenue Service are issuing rules that provide hundreds of billions of dollars in tax relief to big companies and the ultrarich. The primary target: The administration is rapidly gutting a 2022 law intended to ensure that a sliver of the country’s most profitable corporations pay at least some federal income tax... It sought to stop corporations like Microsoft, Amazon and Johnson & Johnson from being able to report big profits to shareholders yet low tax liabilities to the federal government. https://archive.ph/9EGs4 Government of, by, and for the 1%
  24. Still waiting on the names of those despots
  25. REHOVOT, ISRAEL — October 29, 2025 — The Weizmann Institute of Science ranks sixth in the world in the 2025 ranking of research quality published today, Wednesday, Oct. 29, by the Center for Science and Technology Studies (CWTS) of Leiden University in the Netherlands (Leiden Ranking).
