  1. What what do exhortations to commit gerrymandering signify?
  2. Thanks for providing no actual evidence.
  3. Please share with us the Presidents who earned 100's of millions if not billions from foreign governments while they were in office.
  4. In 2024 it was 2.9% Back then Trump supporters found that unacceptable.
  5. Don't you understand that if you start on an irrelevant topic in a thread, it's less likely to draw the interest of those who might otherwise be inclined to comment?
  6. Actually he signed an executive order on aug 25. where have you been and why are you posting this here?
  7. Even if the claim is true, it's not statistically significant. Maybe the price of turkey has collapsed this year. Who know. But food costs have gone up. https://www.usinflationcalculator.com/inflation/food-inflation-in-the-united-states/
  8. What don't you understand about the fact that Trump got a fortune from his father. And that he destroyed his father's business. As for his negotiating skills, he ended up overpaying for several business all of which went bankrupt precisely because he paid too much and couldn't pay back his creditors. The only reason he didn't lose all his fortune is that his lawyers took fool advantage of bankruptcy laws to tie up the claims of his creditors.
  9. " In his second term, Trump and his deputies have converted federal agencies into investment arms that direct capital to industries and companies that hew to Trump’s strategic and political vision. As in Saudi Arabia, some of those industries and companies have ties to the leader’s family or allies. And Trump has made arrangements that would, if implemented, give him control of enormous investment portfolios that might one day rival sovereign wealth funds like Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund, known by the acronym PIF." https://archive.ph/lJBwj#selection-845.0-849.117 "Your country is becoming more Arab" is just another way of saying your government is becoming much more corrupt. Families getting rich from their personal governmental connections has long been a way of in the developing world. No where is entirely immune from it. But a big part of the reason developed nations got to be developed is because that sort of thing was increasingly frowned upon and to a large extent criminalized. Not anymore. Donald Trump Jr. kicked off the conference described here. It's widely reported how the Trump family is making massive profits from their connections. This is the kind of activity Americans once felt superior to. Many still do. Maybe most. But those in charge of the executive branch clearly don't.
  10. Then why are you so forbearing of Republicans in the House and their refusal to vote for the release of those documents? Except for 4 of them.
  11. Nope. Did not. Back up what you claimed.
  12. No, they're not immune from attacks based on the fact that they are female. But it doesn't mean that the attacks aren't stupid. They are.
  13. Actually, if the law precludes it then it means exactly that. But if you've got proof otherwise share it with us.
  14. So that's why Trump is so opposed to releasing the files. Because the evidence there will support Scaroborough's claim?
  15. False. Among others, no less a personage than Andrew McCarthy, a very right wing guy and former federal prosecutor, lays out why and how Comey didn't lie. And how incompetent the prosecution is, as well. https://archive.ph/JO8BJ And he's far from the only one.
  16. So far, the biggest successes against President Donald Trump’s second-term assault on democracy have come not from Congress and the Supreme Court, but more unusual sources: lower-court judges, “No Kings” protests, a Disney+ subscriber boycott, and Trump’s own indiscipline and incompetence. After the 2025 elections, we can add the states to the list. And in some ways, this avenue of resistance may prove to be the most consequential one (at least until the 2026 midterms). Tuesday’s election results have, specifically, created a major barrier to one of Trump’s most dangerous authoritarian ambitions — an attempted one-sided national gerrymander. https://archive.ph/7nyaK It's funny, lots of Trump supporters here make a practice of predicting big games for Republicans in 2026. if the Republicans are so confident about this, why launch gerrymandering campaigns? What are they so afraid of?
  17. Bush pretty much locked Cheney out of government during his second term. He finally figured out that Cheney and Rumsfeld had gaslighted him into a disaster.
  18. Actually, it's the rightwing hivemind that still believes that it was Comey that lied and not the government in its charging.
  19. I wonder how the DOJ is going to keep a straight face on this one.
  20. Your version of the Reichstag fire gambit?
  21. This time instead of armor they should be wearing bibs.
  22. And what does Biden's condition now have to do with this?
