  1. Get out of your bubble already. Adelita Grijalva can force a vote on the Epstein files, but she's still not sworn in More than three weeks after winning her congressional race, Rep.-elect Adelita Grijalva never imagined her fight to get sworn into office would take this long. It's a departure for Johnson, who has previously sworn in new members from both parties within days of winning their races. The speaker had previously said he would swear in the winner of the Arizona race as soon as they wanted. https://www.npr.org/2025/10/16/g-s1-93709/adelita-grijalva-mike-johnson-swearing-in
  2. Retailers’ holiday hiring to hit lowest level since the Great Recession, says major industry trade group Holiday hiring by retailers is expected to total between 265,000 and 365,000 roles this year, the lowest number of seasonal workers in at least 15 years, the National Retail Federation said Thursday... Some companies may have hired seasonal workers early to support sales events in October, but retailers have largely tried to limit their spending as they manage higher costs from tariffs, NRF chief economist Mark Mathews said. https://www.cnbc.com/2025/11/06/retail-holiday-hiring-to-hit-lowest-level-in-15-years-nrf.html "but retailers have largely tried to limit their spending as they manage higher costs from tariffs"
  3. The feds send all kinds of money to the states. That doesn't mean those payments are replacements.
  4. A federal judge castigated the Department of Homeland Security on Thursday for its aggressive use of force during an illegal immigration crackdown in Chicago in recent weeks, banning the use of tear gas and other crowd-control weapons “unless necessary to stop the immediate threat of physical harm.” Judge Sara L. Ellis, of Federal District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, said that government officials, including the senior Border Patrol official Gregory Bovino, had repeatedly lied about their own tactics and the actions of protesters. The injunction granted by Judge Ellis on Thursday extends temporary restrictions that she issued last month https://archive.ph/wdOI4
  5. As President Trump has pointed out, all the Senators have to do is get rid of the filibuster.
  6. And some think that the MAGA movement can acknowledge defeat. Whether it's the elections in 2020 or 2025.
  7. And has become all too typical, the Customs and Border agent lied about the "assault". Lairmore had testified that the sandwich “exploded all over” his chest and claimed he could smell mustard and onions. But a photo showed that the sandwich was still in its wrapper on the ground after it hit Lairmore in his bulletproof vest. https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/rcna242142
  8. Next think you know, Cameroni will accuse the sandwich of being Kosher.
  9. You mean the fake allegations of undercover FBI agents being present that day?
  10. It wasn't just Bondi. Huber and Horowitz ran separate investigations during the 1st Trump administration and came up with nothing. Maybe Bonding is counting on the old saying "4th time is the charm?"
  11. And when the rioters were chanting Hang Mike Pence as they broke into the Capitol building, did anyone notice that they were singing off-key?
  12. Being in possession of pork products is probably a criminal offense there. Using them in a case of assault is probably a capital crime.
  13. This acquittal is just what America haters have been waiting for. Reportedly, the Deep State has an entire battalion of these people ready to go. Every one of them armed with a ham sandwich. What makes it even worse is that supposedly the ham is imported.
  14. Afghan opium crop plummets after Taliban ban - UN report Opium farming in Afghanistan has dropped significantly following a ban imposed by the Taliban government in 2022, the United Nations said. The total area of land for growing opium poppy shrank 20% since last year, while the amount of opium has fallen by 32% over the same period, the UN's Office on Drugs and Crime said in a survey. Afghanistan used to produce more than 80% of the world's opium, with heroin made from Afghan opium making up 95% of the market in Europe. https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/c5ypq5pdyk8o
  15. The vote count is so close that Mike Johnson is stalling in swearing in a new Democratic member of Congress. Apparently, he vote will put it over the top.
  16. Evidence from the recent election shows that Hispanic voters are souring on Trump. Not surprising considering that his immigration policy is much harsher than they expected. Which has affected many of their relatives and hurt their business. In addition, in South Texas, his push against Mexico has hurt local businesses and damaged voters. It turns out that Texas politicians weren't really so hyped on the redistricting plans since it depended on Hispanic voters voting at levels for Republicans similar to those in their recent past. But they had to render obeisance to Trump. How the Republican Texas Redistricting Scheme Could Backfire Before he called lawmakers back to Austin to redraw Texas’ congressional maps, Gov. Greg Abbott was initially resistant to the plan pushed by President Donald Trump’s political team to pick up new GOP seats through a rare mid-decade redistricting, according to two people who have spoken to Abbott and the White House about the behind-the-scenes discussions. The majority of Texas’ GOP congressional delegation was also wary of the idea, with many members concerned that Republican map-drawers could miscalculate and spread their voters too thin—thus putting their jobs in jeopardy—while trying to flip Democratic seats, six people involved in internal delegation discussions told The Texas Tribune. https://washingtonmonthly.com/2025/08/01/trump-texas-map-could-backfire/ Democrats Won Big Because They Won Over Trump Supporters The same story holds among Hispanic voters, who snapped back toward Democrats in both states. The exit polls in New Jersey found that Ms. Sherrill won a whopping 18 percent of Mr. Trump’s Hispanic support in the state (no figures were reported for Virginia, where the Hispanic vote is smaller). Ms. Sherrill also seemed to benefit from a much stronger turnout among Democratic-leaning Hispanic voters. In the New Jersey exit poll, Hispanic voters who cast ballots in 2025 reported backing Ms. Harris by 25 points; in the actual 2024 election, Ms. Harris won Hispanic voters by just nine points, according to New York Times estimates. Together, it was enough for Ms. Sherrill to win Hispanic voters by 37 points, according to the exit polls. https://archive.ph/pNsG4#selection-495.0-495.56 Is the Hispanic Red Wave for Donald Trump Starting to Crash? https://www.newyorker.com/news/letter-from-the-southwest/is-the-hispanic-red-wave-for-donald-trump-starting-to-crash

  18. What? Mostly it's Sunnis going after Shiite muslims. Most Muslims are Sunnis.
  19. It can all be cleared up if the Republicans vote to release the files. I'm sure you are looking forward to that.
  20. Tlhanks for the rant. But you should provide footnotes. Anyway, I"m sure you are looking forward to the release of more Epstein files once Mike Johnson finally has to relent and swear in the new Democratic rep from New Mexico. She will put the vote to release the files over the top. Odd how Johnson is resisting making her a member.
  21. DOJ tells Republicans that Epstein files even worse for Trump than they thought: report Several House Republicans have reportedly heard from the Department of Justice (DOJ) that the unreleased Jeffrey Epstein documents are especially compromising for President Donald Trump. That's according to reporting from former MSNBC, CNN and Fox News reporter David Shuster, who posted to his X account on Wednesday that there is "speculation/rumors sweeping through [the] GOP caucus" about the details of the Epstein files. "A few GOP house members say they’ve heard from FBI/DOJ contacts that the Epstein files (with copies in different agencies) are worse than Michael Wolff’s description of Epstein photos showing Trump with half naked teenage girls," Shuster wrote. https://www.alternet.org/doj-republicans-trump-epstein
  22. I've suspected you're a Martian for some time now. Thanks for the confirmation.
  23. You grew up? The childishness of your comments says otherwise. Even if it's true that you're from NYC, is there something in the water there that keeps New Yorkers from being racists?
  24. Whether the account is fake or not is irrelevant. The issue is the video. Is it fake? Or is it misinterpreted? What's your point?
