US Prosecutors Suspended for Telling The Truth
Actually, the Alexander Hamiltons touched upon the issue of the pardon in the Federalist Papers. “Humanity and good policy conspire to dictate, that the benign prerogative of pardoning should be as little as possible fettered or embarrassed... The criminal code of every country partakes so much of necessary severity, that without an easy access to exceptions in favor of unfortunate guilt, justice would wear a countenance too sanguinary and cruel.” https://avalon.law.yale.edu/18th_century/fed74.asp?utm_source=chatgpt.com Look at paragraph 3. At any rate, for better or for worse, it doesn't look like he agrees with you.

US Prosecutors Suspended for Telling The Truth
People who have trouble with reading comprehension should probably avoid discussing legal issues. Here, once again is quote of what Jerry Mahoney wrote. Pay special attention to the part in italics: "The pardon of Richard Nixon (officially, Proclamation 4311) was a presidential proclamation issued by Gerald Ford, the president of the United States, on September 8, 1974, granting a full and unconditional pardon to Richard Nixon, his predecessor, for any crimes that he might have committed against the United States as president."

At sea level water boils at 100 degrees centigrade. That's a fact. And while it's dubious that your comment is a fact, even if it were, it, just like water's boiling point, is still completely irrelevant to the issue.

Half-witted much? Sometimes a half equals nothing. As in this case. What you don't offer is what voters think of the Republican party's stance on issues. Find a legitimate similar article about the Republicans.

If you've got something to contradict it go ahead and offer it. You think the conservative media would take this lying down if it was a lie? And a Justice Dept where the facts can get an employee punished is already corrupted.

US Prosecutors Suspended for Telling The Truth
US prosecutors suspended after calling January 6 defendants 'mob of rioters The U.S. Justice Department placed two prosecutors on leave on Wednesday, hours after they referred to Trump supporters who stormed the Capitol on January 6, 2021, as "a mob of rioters" in a sentencing memo, said four people familiar with the matter. Assistant U.S. Attorneys Samuel White and Carlos Valdivia were placed on administrative leave and locked out of their government devices, one day before their scheduled appearance in federal court on Thursday for Taylor Taranto's sentencing. Taranto was convicted on gun charges after driving to former President Barack Obama’s Washington neighborhood in June 2023, shortly after then-former President Donald Trump posted what he asserted was Obama’s address online. https://www.reuters.com/legal/government/prosecutors-suspended-after-calling-january-6-defendants-mob-rioters-sources-say-2025-10-29/ Just because they violently forced their way into the Capitol to stop the Constitutionally prescribed transfer of power was underway these prosecutors called them a mob of rioters? Maybe the Justice Dept heads would be OK with calling them a parade of rioters? Trump-appointed judge praises prosecutors placed on leave after calling Jan. 6 a 'riot' A federal judge appointed to the bench by President Donald Trump heaped praise Thursday on two federal prosecutors who were placed on administrative leave after they described those who stormed the Capitol in 2021 as a "mob of rioters." U.S. District Judge Carl Nichols said at a sentencing hearing that the prosecutors, Carlos Valdivia and Samuel White, were among the best attorneys who have appeared before him. “In my view, both Mr. Valdivia and Mr. White did a truly excellent job in this case,” Nichols said at the hearing for Taylor Taranto, a Jan. 6 defendant who was also convicted on gun and other charges stemming from an incident in 2023. https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/justice-department/trump-appointed-judge-praises-prosecutors-placed-leave-calling-jan-6-r-rcna240866

New poll: 56% of Americans think Trump is a dangerous dictator
Because Trump's lie was a massive one. And once again, who cares about who you support? The issue was Trump's lie, not how you feel about it. Go share your feelings in some right wing therapy group. It's got nothing to do with this.

New poll: 56% of Americans think Trump is a dangerous dictator
I can't believe you just said that. The topic was about Trump lying to get elected because Project 2025 was very unpopular. Who cares whether you liked it or not. Typical obtuse right winger.
-
New poll: 56% of Americans think Trump is a dangerous dictator
Not a liar. I did get it wrong when I said Trump disavowed it. But I got the important part right when I said he lied about not knowing about it. Which was an obvious lie. One that you fell for. You're a typical gullible right winger.

Binance Boosted Trump Family’s Crypto Company Ahead of Pardon
Deflecting much? This is massively and blatantly unethical. Even if your claims were valid, which they're not, Hunter and James Biden were pikers compared to Trump. And there's nothing illegal or ethically suspect about LLCs per se. They're a common business tool But if there was something unethical or illegal associated with them then... '2000 killed in just 48 hours' by slaughtering militia
How U.A.E. Arms Bolstered a Sudanese Militia Accused of Genocide Gulf Arab state has funneled weapons, including Chinese-made drones, to rebel forces U.S. intelligence agencies say the United Arab Emirates sent increasing supplies of weapons including sophisticated Chinese drones to a major Sudanese militia this year, bolstering a group that has been accused of genocide and pouring fuel on a conflict that has created one of the world’s worst humanitarian crises. Separate reports, including from the Defense Intelligence Agency and the State Department’s intelligence bureau, show an increase in the flow of materiel from the U.A.E. to the rebel Rapid Support Forces since the spring, according to U.S. officials familiar with the intelligence. The materiel includes the advanced Chinese-made drones along with small arms, heavy machine guns, vehicles, artillery, mortars and ammunition, the officials said. https://archive.ph/91iv0#selection-733.0-737.444 It's a good thing that President Trump has expressed in no uncertain terms his displeasure with the the UAE's support of this murderous force. He told the President of the UAE in no uncertain terms that "You are a magnificent man and it's an honor to be with you." https://www.khaleejtimes.com/uae/trump-mohamed-bin-zayed-al-nahyan-honour That was in May. But Trump has subsequently made even clearer his displeasure with the UAE: This Gulf Nation Is Powering Trump’s Moneymaking Machine Eight years later, the United Arab Emirates, home to the metropolises of Dubai and Abu Dhabi, has become a hub for the Trump Organization’s international expansion. With first sons Don Jr. and Eric serving as emissaries, the president and his family have entered into at least nine agreements with ties to the gulf nation—some involving government entities in the country, many stemming from business relationships developed there. Together, the ventures, which include five licensing agreements and three cryptocurrency deals, will provide an estimated $500 million in 2025—and about $50 million annually for years into the future. https://archive.ph/Zzm3g#selection-3967.0-3967.632 And here's the topper. Out of all the companies offering Stablecoins guess which one the UAE chose? Trump's stablecoin chosen for $2 billion Abu Dhabi investment in Binance, co-founder says A stablecoin launched by Donald Trump's World Liberty Financial crypto venture is being used by an Abu Dhabi investment firm for its $2 billion investment in crypto exchange Binance, one of World Liberty's co-founders said on Thursday. It's the latest in a series of Trump family crypto-related ventures, including a "meme coin" launched in January, that have drawn criticism from government ethics experts and political opponents over potential conflicts of interest. https://www.reuters.com/world/middle-east/wlfs-zach-witkoff-usd1-selected-official-stablecoin-mgx-investment-binance-2025-05-01/

Binance Boosted Trump Family’s Crypto Company Ahead of Pardon
Changpang Zhao is the head of Binance "Around the time of the election, Zhao’s representatives began discussions with allies of Trump, saying they wanted to find a solution to Binance’s legal troubles in the U.S. and offering a deal with a Trump family business, according to people familiar with the discussions. Once Trump won, Binance formed a high-level task force to strike a deal with the Trumps’ nascent cryptocurrency venture, World Liberty Financial, that Binance could leverage into clemency for Zhao, other people familiar with the matter said. This spring, Binance took steps that catapulted the Trump family venture’s new stablecoin product, enhancing its credibility and pushing its market capitalization up from $127 million to over $2.1 billion." https://archive.ph/3umaB#selection-2127.0-2127.61

Trump Foe Exposes Glaring Flaw That Could Sink Case Against Her
Donald Trump’s effort to prosecute his political enemies has become even harder to defend. Legal experts have identified yet another chink in the armor of the already-fraught charges against New York Attorney General and longtime Trump foe Letitia James. James stands accused of committing mortgage fraud in a case brought by attack-dog Lindsey Halligan—Trump’s handpicked top prosecutor in Eastern Virginia. Halligan, Trump’s personal attorney with no prior prosecutorial experience, alleges that James falsely claimed a second home in Norfolk, Virginia, as her primary residence to secure better loan terms, and then violated her mortgage by renting it out. But real-estate and legal scholars told Politico on Wednesday that Halligan’s case has a fatal flaw: the mortgage contract doesn’t actually prohibit rentals. In fact, it expressly allows them under certain conditions. https://sg.news.yahoo.com/trump-foe-exposes-glaring-flaw-171025436.html

New poll: 56% of Americans think Trump is a dangerous dictator
Like most people who resort to stupid generalizations, you don't have much use for looking deeper but take things on faith. Here's an article from Newsweek dated Sep 4, 2024. And here is Trump's gaffe: When asked about Project 2025 on Lex Fridman's podcast, Trump again said that he knows "nothing" about it and that he "purposefully" hasn't read it, but moments later, added that it contains some proposals that "everybody would like." https://www.newsweek.com/donald-trump-project-2025-comment-democrats-1948566

Trump Lost the Trade War to China
When Trump rashly announced his “Liberation Day” tariffs in April, he badly miscalculated. He seemed to think that China was vulnerable because it exported far more to the United States than it purchased. He apparently didn’t appreciate that much of what China purchased, like soybeans, it could get elsewhere — while Beijing is now the OPEC of rare earth minerals, leaving us without alternative sources. China controls about 90 percent of rare earths and is the sole supplier of six heavy rare earth minerals; it also dominates rare earth magnets. https://archive.ph/B1bWe While this article is speculative, it seems likely to prove correct. And if it is correct, then we can count on Trump to vent his displaced anger on less formidable adversaries. Maybe that's already happening given his bizarre military threats against Venezuela. It will be interesting to see just how far Trump rolls back his moves against China. And maybe even roll back the level of support that existed under the Biden administration. Should Taiwan be concerned? Trump nixed $400 million in Taiwan military aid, pushing future arms sales President Donald Trump declined to approve more than $400 million in military aid to Taiwan this summer, as he tries to negotiate a trade deal and potential summit with Chinese leader Xi Jinping, according to five people familiar with the matter. The decision, which may still be reversed, marks a U-turn in U.S. policy toward the self-governing island that China claims as its own territory, said the people, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss internal deliberations. Two people familiar with the matter said the package was worth more than $400 million and would have been “more lethal” than past rounds of aid to Taiwan, including munitions and autonomous drones. https://archive.ph/ukzJI
