  1. First off, who do you mean by "they"? Second, you must be doing your own independent investigation. I read that they were suspected of stealing millions. According to you it's billions. Do I hear any bids for trillions? Going once going twice sold to even keel for billions.
  2. A Costa Rican official rebutted the Trump administration’s claim that the only possible destination to deport the undocumented Salvadoran immigrant is the West African nation of Liberia. A high-ranking Costa Rican official said late Friday that the country remains willing to accept the deportation of Kilmar Abrego García, rebutting the Trump administration’s claims that the only possible destination for the Salvadoran immigrant is the West African nation of Liberia. Security Minister Mario Zamora Cordero told The Washington Post that he had informed the U.S. Embassy in San José in August that the government would accept Abrego on humanitarian grounds and provide him legal residency. He reiterated that Costa Rica has the “highest human rights standards” and would receive Abrego “under humanitarian conditions that guarantee the full respect for his rights and liberties.” https://archive.ph/mq9qn
  3. But Biden personally let him in?
  4. Cherry picking much? The article went into detail about why those figures were unreliable. So, if you really want to get into the issue of who is a retard, I suggest you look closer to home.
  5. The article was about Somali criminal rings. But a few of the comments not so much. But maybe I've got it wrong. Maybe Hanaguma and especially Airalee were only referring to the criminals and believe Somalis should be welcome here. That's a very dubious statistic: Who gets food stamps? Viral chart misleads about SNAP recipients' race, ethnicity https://www.politifact.com/article/2025/oct/27/food-stamps-SNAP-ethnicity-chart/
  6. A proven forgery? Please provide us with the proof. Unless by proof you mean Trump's denial. If that's the case, you have set a very low bar for proof. It was Ghislaine Maxwell who compiled all the birthday cards sent by Epstein's prominent friends into an album. The same Ghislaine Maxwell, the sex offender, who, despite the rules that forbid sex offenders from being housed in low security prison, is currently dwelling in one and has been afforded all kinds of special treatment.
  7. Always interesting to see the folks who rage against DEI on the grounds that discriminating on the basis of race or ethnicity is wrong, but have no problem with tarring all Somalis.
  8. Whatever previous estimate the Express claims it was referencing - and in light of past year sthey seem very dubious - emigration of UK nationals was in fact very similar to 2023. "In the year ending December 2024, 257,000 British nationals are now estimated to have emigrated from the UK—2,000 more British nationals than in 2023. .. But these figures have been trending up since before Labour took office. The new figures show that the estimated number of British nationals emigrating from the UK has been broadly increasing since 2021, while the estimated number of British nationals returning to the UK has been falling." https://fullfact.org/immigration/british-national-migration-revisions/ Maybe you think Starmer is a time traveler?
  9. My point is that it's irrelevant what political party he was registered with. On the other hand, that disgraceful birthday card he sent Epstein is.
  10. Mostly false. Trump was friends with Epstein from the late 80s until 2004. He became a Democrat in 2001 and changed back to Republican in 2009. So, if you believe that political affiliation was a factor in his friendship with Epstein, you might conclude that being a Democrat eventually brought Trump to the light. Not really any more believable then the reverse would be.
  11. And this has what bearing on the significance of the cheaper Thanksgiving dinner? Deflecting much?
  12. Another dubious and irrelevant claim.
  13. You wish. Pentagon Pete May Have Accidentally Kneecapped His Own Revenge Plot The secretary’s public statements are a clear case of “unlawful command influence,” in which a superior commander improperly influences or appears to influence the outcome of a military trial, making it impossible for the accused to receive a fair hearing, the legal experts said. A superior commander making comments that imply they expect a certain result in a case is a textbook example of UCI, according to The Judge Advocate General’s School. Given that everyone at the Defense Department works for Hegseth, his comments about Kelly make it nearly impossible for anyone below him to fairly convene a court to hear the case, sources told CNN. A coalition of former and retired military judge advocates also issued a rare joint statement warning that recalling Kelly to face a court-martial would be partisan in nature, legally baseless, and compromised by unlawful command influence, the outlet reported. https://www.thedailybeast.com/pentagon-pete-may-have-accidentally-kneecapped-his-own-revenge-plot/ No matter where Team Trump takes aim, they generally seem to end up shooting themselves in the foot.
  14. I could care less about the immigration situation in Thailand vis a vis America. I haven't a clue why you think it's relevant. And I don't know where you get your information from but I got news for you: about 10 months ago the immigration situation in America changed significantly. And citing an immigration episode from years ago does nothing to bolster your case. The one thing I did find impressive about your post is your callousness.
  15. Ignorant much? "The union membership rate—the percent of wage and salary workers who were members of unions—was 9.9 percent in 2024, little changed from the prior year, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reported today. The number of wage and salary workers belonging to unions, at 14.3 million, also showed little movement over the year. In 1983, the first year for which comparable data are available, the union membership rate was 20.1 percent and there were 17.7 million union members. https://www.bls.gov/news.release/pdf/union2.pdf
  16. Artificial intelligence can do the work currently performed by nearly 12% of America's workforce, according to a recent study from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. The researchers, relying on a metric called the "Iceberg Index" that measures a job's potential to be automated, conclude that AI already has the cognitive and technical capacity to handle a range of tasks in technology, finance, health care and professional services. The index simulated how more than 150 million U.S. workers across nearly 1,000 occupations interact and overlap with AI's abilities. Specifically, it measures exposure to AI capabilities and how the rapidly emerging technology overlaps with workers' occupational skills. https://www.cbsnews.com/news/ai-artificial-intelligence-workers-mit-study/
  17. As on perceptive political observer noted: "The cruelty isn't besides the point. It is the point."
  18. Do you expect Trump to say "You're welcome."?
  19. I got news for you. Nothing is guaranteed when it comes to immigration. But abruptly changing past practice without notification stinks.
  20. And the cost of a Thanksgiving dinner is significant why? That's what you eat every day? Just a kind of cherry picking. Now, food price inflation, you know the inflation that affects what most folks eat every day, tells a different story. https://tradingeconomics.com/united-states/food-inflation
  21. Did you read the excerpt I quoted: "An immigration statute passed by Congress in 1986 allows a spouse who entered the country lawfully to be eligible for a green card through marriage even if the person’s visa has expired."
  22. The mother has had no involvement at all with raising the child. She has been entirely absent from her nephew's life. He was raised by Leavitt's brother. So I don't think it will be much of a test.
