The real siege of L.A. - ICE raids are shredding the city’s social fabric of immigrant lives
And what percentage of such miscarriages of justice have to do with illegal aliens. Citing horror stories as a way to make policy is the strategy of fools or worse.

The real siege of L.A. - ICE raids are shredding the city’s social fabric of immigrant lives
Funny how someone who claims to be suspicious of what governments say, can swallow wholesale claims like this. External Data: Nonpublic ICE data obtained by research organizations presents a different picture. A Cato Institute analysis of data from June 2025 indicated that 65% of people processed into the ICE system had no criminal convictions. A TRAC report from September 2025 found that 71.5% of those held in ICE detention had no criminal conviction. Nature of Offenses: Independent analyses suggest that among those with convictions, a large portion are for minor offenses such as immigration violations, traffic infractions, and nonviolent vice crimes, rather than violent felonies. In summary, the 70% figure represents the official position and messaging from the DHS/Trump administration, while independent analyses of nonpublic ICE data suggest a significantly lower percentage of arrested individuals have U.S. criminal convictions

How Plug-In Solar Could Bring Affordable Energy to Millions
And whatever the economics of it may be in the USA, solar panels are a growing part of the solar economy. And what's pertinent to the question of land use is that they don't take up any more space. They're on home rooftops. What's more, they're increasingly used in places like parking lots. Big box stores in the USA are installing them in parking lots and on their roofs. All this without encroaching on farmland or pristine environments. Bangkok Hospital in Chiangmai has installed solar panels in its parking lot. There's a lot of room for growth like this in Thailand.

How Plug-In Solar Could Bring Affordable Energy to Millions
Your point isn't valid but who cares since you're massively wrong about how much land would be required for solar power to power all of Thailand 4 years ago it was reckoned that it would take about 22,000 square miles of solar panels to power the USA. That's about 57,000 kilometers. The total land area of thailand is about 513,000 square kilometers. I reckon that if that about 1/9 of Thailand's area could power the USA of 4 years ago, it probably could do the same for the Thailand of today. https://blogs.ucl.ac.uk/energy/2015/05/21/fact-checking-elon-musks-blue-square-how-much-solar-to-power-the-us/ https://elements.visualcapitalist.com/how-much-land-power-us-solar/ And not that it's exactly relevant to your assertion but in the USA about 29.7 milllion acres or about 120191 square kilometers of land is used to grow corn for ethanol. So at least as far as total area goes, it shouldn't be a problem to power America strictly with solar.

DOJ tells Republicans Epstein files even worse for Trump
Since when does "Whatever the merits of the legal cases against him.." signify a climbdown. I just don't want to get into a discussion with someone who despite being repeatedly shot down over the same claims persists in repeating them.
-
DOJ tells Republicans Epstein files even worse for Trump
Whatever the merits of the legal cases against him, it's clear you don't understand the difference between being clean and being sleazy. Just because something is legal, that doesn't make it ethical.

TACO's gonna get cheaper
The coffee exports from Brazil had a tariff of 50% imposed on them. This was to teach Brazil a lesson they deserved. After all, they were actually buying more from the U.S. than they sold to the U.S. It's going to be tough for them to treat the Chinese the same way since they are now selling way more soybeans to China than they used to. Soybeans which used to come from the USA. I just hope that this has given U.S. soybean farmers a much needed break from the hard labor it takes to earn an income.

Somewhere or other SunnyinBangrak claimed that Donald Trump was known as Mr. Clean. I did a search for that on the internet. I even asked AI. No luck. Still, I believe that he is telling the truth. It's just that he lives in an alternative universe and occasionally drops by to visit this one.

Thanks for clearing that up. Not. I suspect that when you put "2 and 2 together" you come up with 5.

Judge refuses to toss assault case against New Jersey Dem,News
Not surprising that you accept the government's version of events unquestioningly. As for the judge's ruling. He simply found that the congresswoman failed to make a case that hers was a case of malicious or vindictive prosecution. That's a very difficult argument to prove. Nothing about the merits of the case itself. In fact, as he noted, there is still a review process pending of relevant videos.

It's a pity that there isn't such a thing as a rant translator. Because your comment desperately needs one.

Trump has failed to bring prices down
Given how little benefit it would offer, and how few people would likely choose such a plan, it's best to characterize that suggestion as a very stupid one.
-
Trump has failed to bring prices down
I don't think you understand inflation at all. It's not about inflation per se, it's about the rate of inflation. And are you suggesting that people who can't afford their own private transportation, move to the cities? Do you have a clue as to how much rents have risen? Do you believe that the widespread discontent about the cost of living among the middle class means that they are clueless?
-
Trump has failed to bring prices down
Close. Except that. Inflation has actually gone up.

Portions of Comey Case Transcript Still Not Handed Over?
Currie, meanwhile, pressed the government on the transcript of the grand jury deliberations in Comey's case, which she'd previously ordered to be turned over to her. She said there was a significant period of time missing in the grand jury material she reviewed, between 4:28 p.m. and when Comey was indicted later that evening. The judge said it was possible there was no court reporter in the room at the time, meaning only Halligan and the grand jury would have been in the room. https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/justice-department/hearing-lindsey-halligan-trump-comey-james-rcna243270 Cameron Currie is the judge in the case. The DOJ's case is looking worse and worse. Which is kind of amazing considering how bad it already was.

Trump has failed to bring prices down
Sure, You could drive a junker. Or a car that has a lot less years left in it. Either way, you're paying a lot more than you used to. And of course, for people who already buy used cars at the lower end of the scale, what do you recommend them to do? Take up jogging to work?

Trump has failed to bring prices down
WHAT'S NEW? Car buyers hit with ‘sticker shock’ as used car prices reach their highest point in 18 months The price difference between new and used vehicles is now a fraction of the overall cost THE American auto industry’s affordability crisis has officially bled into the one safe haven prospective purchasers had left. The used car market has been hit so bad that, at times, it makes more sense for prospective purchasers United States to buy new instead. https://www.the-sun.com/motors/15480325/american-used-car-prices-hit-eighteen-month-high/

How virtual power plants could meet data centre energy demand
Technology companies are investing billions of dollars to build and power data centres across the US, but the industry’s enormous electricity consumption has put pressure on utilities and grid operators that are struggling to quickly meet surging demand... The Rocky Mountain Institute found that virtual power plants (VPP) — a decentralised network of small energy assets such as solar panels or smart thermostats that are co-ordinated with software — could be utilised by data centres to meet much of their energy needs by shifting demand during peak periods. RMI estimates that VPPs could expand to meet more than 20 per cent of peak US demand in 2030 and reach a market size on par with projected data centre growth. https://archive.ph/jM32K#selection-1979.0-1991.464 What is a VPP? "A virtual power plant (VPP) is a network of distributed energy resources, like rooftop solar panels, home batteries, and smart thermostats, that are connected and managed by a central system to act as a single power plant. These VPPs can balance energy supply and demand, support the grid, reduce costs, and facilitate the integration of renewable energy by remotely controlling the connected devices." Thanks AI
