No, that wouldn't happen and I wouldn't try it. Let's say the extension expires Jan 15. I apply Dec 1. The old way was to return extension on Jan 15. The new one is 21 days. That puts me days in front of Xmas and a week before NY. Highly inconvenient. Last year bc we had tickets she allowed me to put extension Jan 15. I'm wondering if people have reported, discussed this issue outcome and any evidence they are flexible. Of course, we will try. Wife has to return to BKK so this year point is moot, but it's ongoing headache. I really want to bump the extension date 6-8 months but immigration has no way to do this.
