I just rec'd an email back from Manila I'd sent about two weeks ago. I asked specific, pointed, simple questions about using a Thai bank account for SS. I rec'd the same insulting response as always...that is if you want to ask a question include personal, compromising details and send them in unsecured email. It's a nasty, do nothing pattern. The questions require no personal details and in fact given the question I couldn't have an account for them to reference. It's pretty much bull<deleted>. I can only hope when the directive is internal and from US I'll fare better. As an aside - looks like I use the SCB swiftcode. I am concerned about getting stamps at my branch as that branch speaks zero English and I've had bad experiences there. My account has been moved 2x due to branch consolidation. I will be in US in April two weeks. 1 how many weeks prior to date you want to start benefits is call schedule? I'm thinking quite a few... hopefully 2 I'm still clueless about using a foreign bank signing up online. Not only that but want to use SCB not BBL.. . there is no routing number but swiftcode. If anyone has experience sending money to another bank besides BBL I'd appreciate it.. I do expect and will send off the form (1199?) to Manila after I complete the online process.
