It really helps to own the news sources and Hollywood if you want to portray yourself as the good guy when in fact you have 800 military bases worldwide, have killed millions of innocent civilians and stolen said civilians resources in some cases. Look at Syria today, at what 12 illegal US military bases, stealing their oil illegally while children starve there. This is so called democracy today.

All it takes is having the power of the press and call ing someone a 'bad guy' enough times. Works every time. Don't think it cannot or will not happen here or in neighbouring countries if things heat up with US-China relations. A coup is cheap for the US to remain dominant and the first thing they do is throw their allies under the bus. Look at Europe today.

I suppose younger people don't know and some people stick their heads in the sand but the US is a bully and colour revolutions is their specialty.Go to Central or South America or Eastern Europe and ask let alone SE Asia.

Excellent post telling it just as it is.  Thank you.

have you asked the builder to return & fix ...

    ... or finish

Try finish when talking to him, as he won't lose face.  Just say you notice a few loose, and wondering when he'll finish ... ????

I'd just go buy a screw gun/drill, and finish it myself. If you climbed up to put caps on, then your capable to screw it down.

I can just hear the excuse:

"screw holes are the major cause of rust in roof sheeting.  I was trying to save you all the rust problems and this is the thanks I get?  Do it yourself!!"

Rent out 9 rai and let someone else take the risk since this year is predicted to be very dry with insufficient rainfall.

The remaining 1 rai you can experiment with. Don't assume that just because you are growing something you will easily harvest and sell your crop. It is a risky business .

We have sugar cane.  Usually we sell in the ground well before harvest.  This year no-one wants to even look at it as worried about drought.

My wifey and i have done exactly that and closed both our SCB accounts and opened new accounts with Bangkok Bank.

I am thinking the same however what is to say that the other banks will not follow SCB's example and switch to mobile?  Is this a trend?  Local/internationl?  Just seems pointless opening new a/c's elswhere if the same will happn.

Of course the US is meddling in Thai elections, they inject millions of dollars into their pet NGOs.  This is well known.  The ambassador is telling porkies.

Did it swing the election? Can't say.

If Thailand is concerned about foreign influence in their elections then they should give all the NGOs the boot, kick them out.

I would be very surprised if the US was not medling, I mean why are they not medling?, like what has changed that would suddenly stop them from medling?  Im just thinking of the norm here.

This man is an absolute bottom of the barrel pick. He does not have one nanogram of leadership ability, there are very few who like him and it would just be a continuation of the oppressive, regressive, backward policies of the past 9 dreadful years.

The people have spoken. The army games can continue, but at great peril to the institution, which has already lost any prestige or honor it may have once had. It is now considered a den of thieves, despised by the masses.

If there is anywhere Prawit truly belongs, it is either in prison, or in exile. Not in politics.

But hes a good time keeper!

The problem is there are no risk assessments performed, or if they are done, are not done properly or done by people that are not competent.

Health and safety is not a concern here. Seen as a hindrance to profit by greedy bosses.

Maintenance is another concept totally foreign to Thais.  Buy it new and keep running it until chewing gum, fencing wire and electrical tape wont keep it going any longer, then you buy a new one (unless somebody gets killed in the meantime).

So the guy was taking meth and also smoked some marijuana, and they blame the marijuana for his murder spree? Wow. Somebody's got an agenda here.

Lucky he was not drinking a cup of coffee or that would end up on the Controlled Substances List as well as the  Substances Known to Kill with Impunity List!

I would like to see 2 lists published here daily listing, with as many adjectives as possible, 1. every crime involving alcohol and 2,  every crime involving meth, as it seems necessary now to mention every crime  involving weed!

Ah yes, friendly relations with neighbors.

Putting aside Thailand's friendly attitude with North Korea (embassy in Bangkok), pandering with China; blissful of unfriendly European Cold War relations with East Germany, Russian invasion of Afganistan/Hungary /Czechoslovakia, China invasion of Vietnam, Vietnam invasion of Cambodia, Sino-Soviet border conflict, etc.

Thailan's world diplomacy has been stuck in the mid-1900's and seems to sell out to whatever country gives it favor without regard to democratic ideology.

Hopefully, MFP can change that direction, albeit with baby steps until the RTM can be accountable to the Thai people.

Not enough room to mention all the invasions by the usa??
