Was it the 2wd or 4wd models that are prone to tipping?

My 2wd 3L G spec performs great IMHO

But i do remember ITS A PICK UP!

Just got a alloy toyota wheel & part warn mich (80 % tread left) balance for 2500B - Looked around at the wheel locks - the one from Tesco lotus for 950B is Sh$t IMHO

Spent 60B on 1M of chain, 25B on 1M of clear plastic hose ( to go over the chain to stop it marking the wheel) and 500B on a decent padlock.

And i got told no driving after 10pm.......................... Bangkok / Pattaya and inbetween after 10pm for 2 months without a problem

Yeah basically the same gear, although Marine ply is supposed to have a better glue holding the 'plys' together

I saw a system in Tuk Com in Pattaya in the Large Top floor computer shop - sorry didn't get the price or brand name.

Depends if you have a 'real' red plate with the brown book that goes with it - it was a 3500 B deposit from Toyota Pattaya, the book & plate were about 19 years old - you can tell as every 'new' car that has had the temp red plate (the same plate) is noted in the book. Also you will see on a 'real' red plate there is an embosed stamp on the plate.

If you don't want to put down 3500B deposit you will get a 'copy' plate that will give the BIB every chance to ream your wallet!

I was stopped in Bangkok a couple of times and all the BIB did was check the stamp on the plate and wave me on.......... not a baht spent!

Just got a garmin nuvi 200 in Tuk Com Pattaya for 14,700 inc vat - Brillant bit of kit that yesterday & today guided me round Bangkok and back home again with out any of the normal dramas!

Wheel locks do work........... unless you didn't put it back on over night because you had taken it off to change the spare!!!

100B to fix the flat is starting to get expensive................. so far been quoted 1500 - 1800 for a steel with a 'runner' of a tire. Would prefer the same style standard alloy from toyota with a real tire!

My current WP and visa are on my UK passport #1 I have 2 UK passports as before i used to travel alot for work (This is perfectly legal in the UK)

My problem - The passport i have used for ALL my visa's / WP / Thai company papers etc is FULL no spare pages left.

My second passport has plenty of spare pages left but what will happen when at the end of this month i go and renew my visa in the new passport?

Also what's the lead time / cost with the UK embassy to issue new passports in BKK?? I would like to have 2 passports.

I've been able in KL to sumit in the morning and pick up the next morning - lots of please and thank you's so i could get the early TG flight to BKK - my missus was sick and and the girl at the desk took pity on me.
