It is not a liberal issue. No evidence of guilt is presented here which makes your remarks idiotic.

This goes back to the visa issue. When you allow tens of thousands of foreigners

on low income live as residents it is very expensive to provide for the infastructure that will be required to support such.

A country like Thailand that can be distressed in so many ways needs to be more prudent in its policies.

One foreign resident that has disposable income of $2500 a month is worth 5 foreign residents of $1500 disposable income.....

It is just a fact that many possible higher income residents will stay away or move

on and will be a loss in the end with Thailands lax policies and no enforcement of the policies that do exist . 

They do not have to play to the high rollers, but they do need to set the standards where it will most benefit them.  3 or 4, 30 day entry permits per year should be max, more than that you need a special long stay visa with the 800K baht deposit in the bank with verifiable income.

What the locals live on or earn has nothing to do with what a foreigner should be required to have for long stay.  Just My Honest Opinion

I am a farang I spend a lot of time in Thailand and enjoy it very much. I dont believe

anywhere farangs go is a shit hole. Infact I believe the opposite I believe the farang

places are very nice indeed. What I do believe is that most of the long term guys in

Thailand are bored broke and lonely, based on people I have met there and spoke to

over the last 6 years.

Thailand is Paradise for the fool,

Heaven for the few and fortunate

and a shithole for everyone else

Next time you are in a gogo bar look at the men sitting there, most look bored and

I think Rocky has the "high moral ground" here. if that is possible, or at least I have to agree with him. Although there are some "normal Joe" types with real jobs in BKK most are eccentric expats on the fringe or sexpats scraping by. I much enjoy this expat comradery. Pattaya is as Rocky describes, long timers are primarily low life. To be fair, from a cleanliness perspective, the whole Country is a filthy mess, aka shithole, as that is how Thais choose to live. I notice it is the Thais throwing their shit on the ground not the Farangs. Depending on your vantage point you may or may not be aware of any of these obvious points.

A few years ago a prolific poster met his end while typing out a reply. He never got to hit the submit button and has been haunting this board ever since. Links point to strange places, topics vanish, and trolls pop out of nowhere. Priests, monks, rabbis and mullahs have all tried to expell the ghost to no avail. We are currently considering building a small "ghost forum" just outside the main site.

Not sure about this but that is what I have assumed.

The issue will be reregistering every 90 days. Since I only have a 90 day visa I'm out before 90 days are up.

Ok first of all never have a girlfriend in Thailand . Period , I dont care what anyone else says. There are just so many beautiful women in Thailand , myself i went through this in3-4 times in 2 weeks . Telling you that they love you after 2 days come on.

In 7 years I have had 3 GF's with similar traits. Thai girls have a sweet way of badgering you to death. Very stressful.
