Uk coroners have a duty to investigate all suspicious deaths abroad where mortal remains are repatriated. This often involves requests to police via appropriate channels.

If the family request then this procedure is surely correct. I do not know of any complaint along these lines, however, the correct system must be followed and expectations of use of the coroners office and the local police being involved is quite different.

If some take a look back to circa 1997 and find out what 10 ton of this stuff did, they would understand two things. 1, PC is used extensively as a fertilider, and 2, it is a little surprising that more accidents don't happen.

Its going quite far of course.. however I feel that floating lanterns near an airport is a real dangerous thing. If an airplane crashes because of one many lives are lost. Making a threat with a big stick might prevent this from happening.

Just how many aircraft have crashed during the large number of years that Loy Krathong and air travel have co existed? What is the problem with doing exactly as has happened in the last few years like rescheduling flights etc? I think its a sensible thing to put a stop to an unsafe practice, the punishment is overkill but could be seen as a deterrent. (i somehow doubt it would ever put in practice )
