  1. The word Mafia most be the most abused/misused word on TV.

The local Mafia. The Mafia in the neigbourhodd. The taxi mafia, etc, etc.

    Mafia mafia mafia.

My God folks! Would you please stop with this!

How many mafia organizations are there here?

Most of you guys keep calling anyone more than one person that work together for mafia.

Hmmm, let me see.... yes, China must be the country with most Mafias then.

    Right?

Ooops, I guess the TV Mafia will come after me now.

    :D

    Well said. :o

  2. England winning WW2 - everybody else came in for the glory while we stood alone for the Battle of Britain :o

Two world war's and one world cup doo da

Wrong, my British friend. Yes you won the Battle of Britain but you would have gone down in flames if it had not been for RADAR which was provided, of course, by America.

Radar was invented by who? What do they teach you in the states?

  3. 27 youths in one room :o all of them on yabba and 16 to 23 in age :D anyone know what will happen to them?

They will be held for up to two days at the police station before going to court were they will be given a 45 day sentence (they could get bail and serve this time attending the probation office, but very unlikely), then after that they will either be released to attend 4 months at a clinic or another 120 day sentence at a military camp before serving another 2 months probation, if they complete this with success they will then get 1 years aftercare at the probation office were they will have to attend once every 3 months to see how there getting on. If they fail to stay clean there <deleted>.

Well they are not as fcuked as I thought they would be

Maybe not, but there treatment will be very harsh, say there put in klong prem they will get beatings, have there stuff stolen, won't be suppilied with ant tooth brush soap ect. Theres even rape. Its pretty harsh, some of them will have there familys vist who may not have a lot of money and decide to buy there loved one goods from the shop only for the loved ones never to see the goods as there be stolen by the gangs who run it. Theres no such thing as human rights in these place's regardless of the crime. Thai on Thai treatment is awful.

  5. Sorry, I cannot make neither heads nor tails of it. What's the context and where did you get it? Is it available in Thai writing?

    Hi, sorry i put it through an online translator so it made have mixed it up. I think its;

    ฉกเฉิน ดาโทรหมด! รบกวนโทรกลับ ดวยทิ

I think i've got it right, i'll be gutted if it doesn't make anything it took me about 20 mins to write that.

    Best regards.

  6. one time more, thanks to all!

    i'm asking a question?

the few minutes i sitted at the desk of the policeman, as i told before he took a picture of me as the immigration did it already fews months ago in bangkok, but did he do it to check if i have a problem with the law or flagged he me?

in the second case, why he would have flagged me? in the hope to do what after?

    i really don't understand...

    only spend money in thailand...

maybe one day i would go to live cambodia or vietnam, i have enough of these bullshit!

p.s: the people at the police immagration wasn't a woman.

You've had enough of this bull**** ok, not the best choice of wording on this fourm.

sounds like you need a bi-lingual lawyer. Check the bangkokpost classifieds..they have a bunch of adds every day.

  10. Globleiner many thanks for your advice/kind words, with the appeal i only have unto friday before the time is up, i've already been fobbed of by a lawyer and now shes in the system its the only way shes getting out is through the system. Through all of this i can truly say i've met the best and the worst of Thailand, the best is something very special as the people have been so good to me, the worst is the system were life is cheap. The thing i really need is a great translater to put over what i need to tell them, they do have hearts.

Once again thanhks for any replys and if anyone can help me please get in contact.

    Thanks and regards.

  13. Hah! Classic anti-falangism there!

But, in comparism to this scenario, my father (and my Thai mum) steps into their local branch dressed smartly, suit's and all, and immediately a member of customer services dashes over to them and they get served without having to wait behind the queue of Thais.

I'd love to see the prevailing protest and riots if England were to set up a high interest rate account for UK nationals only.

Best bet in the OP's case is to act real smooth. "Ok, then, I would like to transfer every last baht to another Thai bank that does not discriminate against foreigners'. Are you aware of one?"

"When in Rome, do as the Romans do"

    By far the best advice!

  14. Before you tell me I have a dodgy copy of Windows, let me explain when I brought my computer the Thai IT engineer from Tescos installed a version of Windows that has done my brain in! When I check what version it is, it says Windows XP pro service pack 2, but when I start up it says my version of windows is not genuinne, but says its Windows Vista, i've tried many WGA removers to no avail, so i'm thinking it has something to do with being confused what operating system i'm using! I would get the engineer back but I'm afraid he'll install more illeagal <deleted> on my computer! Can someone help me please, I really dont want to reinstall Windows! Has anyone got any ideas for me??? Please bare in mind this was installed without me knowing and I trusted the engineer as he was from Tescos were I brought the PC!

If they're is anything that can be done please PM with details.

    Many Thanks

    Chris
