  1. Its make me laugh that there all living with us in there country, i wonder if anyone had met there tilac's in there home countrys would they be living with them in there aprtments? i think not. So answering serton post's yes we can have a moan.

  2. wifi mireless is'nt showing it, but if you go to www.metacafe.com and serach Thailand your see some great stuff which is'nt decrading any head of states, but there is an artical on the reasons of the ban. If anyone can tell me how to acsse youtube please tell.

    The best of regards.

    Chris.

Chris, FYI Metacafe is ICT [Green Screen of Death] blocked. Reason I believe is that there is/was, a video purporting to show child sex for sale in Thailand, though it looks like it was filmed in Cambodia or Vietnam. Soundtrack quality makes it difficult to identify language being spoken behind voice over.

    Regards

I saw the same video and agree with what you said then i saw them driving on the same side of the road as Thailand so i guess it must of been here? i think it may have been filmed in issan/Cambodia.

    Chris.

  3. The woman in question has failed to meet the visa requiremetns but that is not the end of the matter as she has a right of appeal.

The actuality of applying for a visa in the UK is the rules openly available, there are rights of appeal, and applicants can go on to full British Citizenship.

Compared with the rights that foreigners are denied in Thailand the woman has been treated very fairly.

100% Bang on, rules are rules and all the bitching won't change them.

  4. Is Bent worth 16.5m ?? Absolutely NOT!

Berbatov cost 10.9m, you do the maths!!!

English players transfer fees are ridiculous but for some reason Jolly Martin is a big fan of Bent and I have complete faith in MJ so we'll see what his plans are. Surely he hasn't signed a 16.5m substitute! I reckon we're looking at a diamond with Keano in behind Berbs and Bent.

I do feel a bit sorry for Mido, 2 seasons ago he was the main reason we finished 5th and if it wasn't for a dodgy Pizza at West Ham we'd have been in the CL. He is class, but MJ obviously doesn't rate him anymore.

We do however DESPERATELY need a world class central midfielder (didn't realise we'd miss Carrick THAT much!) as well as a left back and left winger.

Roll on the new season, despite no ESPN or Star Sports coverage!!!

I have to agree that 16.5 M was far to much for Bent, i just hope they've noticed something we havn't. I think at his age of 23 and scoring 39 goals for Charlton in two seasons is the signs of a very good young player, i guess only time will tell, but any idears on who will play up front? it makes me think one of are better ones may be on the way out.

I totally agree with the left back spot and hopfully Bale will fill it, lets just hope we get a winger next.

    Common you spurs!!!

    Chris.

  5. No it is about discussing something about the moderators.

The tread is giving a chance .

    Bingo :o

    Please stick to the topic.

Ok i'll stick to the topic, your a troll! Reasons why, you had a thread closed because you broke the fourm rules and then you decided to write another thread very closley related to that thread, ok so you reworded it but its still trollish!

  6. Yes a very good idear, lets not forget to posion everyone who contains a diesease we could catch, very humane hugh!

The mods have already established that discussing poisoning dogs is not allowed, so please stick to the topic. This thread is about how to ensure that children don't disturb the sweet free roaming rabid dogs.

Ok so try to teach the children a little more about it, do you honestly beleive that the the Thais see a problem with this? if so why are so many of them running around with make shift collers on them and why do they let there children play openly in the street.

Maybe you could start a new enterprise by exporting the dogs to some remote area, you could charge all the locals in the dog infested area to chip in thus making you a nice profit or you could just .... up.

  8. I'm not trolling, I'm pointing out a real problem. Apparently a couple of doctors over at Chula also think this is a problem. Free rabies shots for every one is not a solution, getting rid of the source of these bites is.

  9. Not related to the previous dog threads, but the dog lovers may find this interesting.
Animal rabies and animal bites are serious public health problems in Thailand. As in the United States, reported cases of human rabies deaths are rare, but the number of rabies-exposed victims who received rabies vaccines and immunoglobulin remains high.1,2 The Queen Saovabha Memorial Institute (QSMI) operates as the principal rabies prevention clinic for the Bangkok metropolitan area. The majority of patients who attend QSMI are poor and are probably representative of those who attend public health institutions throughout Thailand and other developing countries where canine rabies is prevalent.

Children are a population group at high risk of rabies exposure and rabies. Approximately one-third of Thai children are bitten by dogs at least once by the age of 15.3 This study was conducted to delineate the epidemiology of potential rabies exposures in Thai children.

    from http://www.wemjournal.org/wmsonline/?reque...4&page=0239

So what shall we do to prevent the kids from disturbing the sweet soi dogs? Lock up all children so the dogs don't have to waste their energy on biting kids?

You really havn't a clue as to what you are talking about have you!

Heres a simple question for you: What is the most important thing in this life?? Answer: Life!

You section dogs out for rabbies which is a vailed point but shouldn't you be sectioning the health care system out instead for not providing jabs?

Another question: An older child in school who bullies a younger child should deserve to be punished, please rember that the younger child will have to live with this for a long time so the punishment should be harsh yes or no??? Your answer: posion them.

Mate youv'e got to wake up and get with the program or better still come to the place across the road from me and try to kill one of there dogs, a bloody mess!

  10. Can you transfer fund from paypal to a Thai account yet or on a US bank account still.

I've heard of something called Asia Pay? I think you can send money there via paypal, then transfer to a Thai bank.

    Anyone familiar with either.

    Thanks

    Hi,

yes you can open a paypal account and send money straight to your Thai bank account, i must warn you though the exchange rate is criminal, you would probaly be better of paying USD's into your US bank account where your'd get a better exchange rate, maybe 2-3 baht a dollar.

    Chris.

  11. Gotta love these Forums....

People giving opinions on people who they don't know, people seeking and taking advice from amomymous strangers who may be the biggest fork ups ever, people forming opinions as to ones upbringing, education, wealth, sexual orientation, member size etc, all from a few words on a monitor.

    :o

I am back in Thailand tomorrow chaps, so I will not be posting for a while, I know you'll miss me, but don't get too depressed, I'll be off to work again in 2 months or so, then I'll return.

When in Thailand I don't bother.

You really will not be missed. thanks and good bye.

  12. With respect, i think the OP has a bit of a shock coming to him when he becomes a father.

He may find his views on shopping with children changes somewhat.

Just wait until your toddler decides to have a temper tantrum in the middle of Lotus.

You soon find that letting your child ride one of the display bikes is an easy option.

Best of luck with the impending birth, i trust you will be present for moral support :o:D:D

    Regards

    Jaiyenyen

Thanks for your comments on the birth and i will be her 100%. But i promise you my chid will not ride around on something if i'm not paying for it, i was brought up this way and so will my daughter be.

    Thanks.

    Chris.

  13. :D C'mon young chap !!!!!!! At least it's only shopping carts that block your aisles not tanks and humvees.. Just try to enjoy life here and thank your God for the joy of being father soon and you are not living in a war zone :o

OK but why would a tank block my path???? i've never hurt anyone! Please explain your point? And rember i'm talking about my situations not anyone elses!!

  14. LOL Yeah right the guy is only 29 .... not yet married ... not yet a father ... but the stress of going to the western style grocery stresses him out? That is a guy that just aint cut out for living in Thailand!

What a stupid reply!! But sorry i am made for this life and i will live it. Good luck with yourself i think you made a reality check on the basics.

  15. Can't comment about the visa run, Chris, but I'm with you on the Tesco part. If I ever inadvertently go in there on a Sunday, I'm almost driven to violence. People chatting & blocking the aisles, cutting you up, pinching the last item of what you were just reaching for... not a pleasant shopping experience.

Good luck to you & Mrs Chris with the new baby, when he/she arrives. :o

Thanks for your comments on my little one and she's a she. I guess i'll be moaning more when shes a little older.

As for the bank hoilday/sunday or even eveing shopping in the lovely tescos were not alone.

Once again thanks for your nice comments i hope some people learn of of them.

    Best regards.

    Chris.

  16. Hi All, Once again, Thanks for your replys and adive plus suuport.

As for the guy who said i'm not cut out for Thailand well, when i first came hear i was the last one on the bus although i was at the front of the make shift cue, once on the bus standing by the door i was also the last one off, i can promise you that has changed but still makes me feel uncomftable pushing people smaller, older, younger or biger out of the way.

    Chris.

  17. With regards to the supermarket..Isnt it the possibility that some Thais go for entertainment because they are poor?

I don't think we should begrudge a child riding a bike for a short while(when it is something the family could never afford for him/her) or families going just to sample free luxury food. :o

Fair enoght great reply to that part of my post you have a very good point which i cannot argue with.

    Chris.

  18. Hi All,

I'rd just like to start by saying i'm not bashing every Thai as i have a fantastic girlfreind with a baby due on the 5th of october and i really can't wait as i truly beleive it will be the best thing whats ever happened to me at my young or not so young age of 29 years old.

Today i had to do one of my 90 day visa runs to the lovely poi pet border, leaving Thailand was no problem and every thing was going smoothly. Once we had to enter the Kingdom again it was a nightmare!!! there was this tiny little hitler telling all these Cambodians bi bi or go go to a different line, after all this had happened all the lines were reshuffled to the amazment of the westerners who thought he'd done a half decent job he'd turned out to be a power controling freak! After being in the new line (next to the Thai line) there was another line opened for Thais, to many peoples supprise the Thais standing at the back of the cue had run full pace to the new one including an old lady who was left on the floor with no help from her fellow country persons. I mean what the .... is going on there???

Two days ago i went to tesco's and the crap you have to deal with there what with people leaving there trollys in the middle of the ile why there looking and the family of 10 who've only come to try the free sample's. Then theres the 5+ people who are looking around but don't even have a hand basket between them. I've even seen the kids racing up and down in trollys, whould you let your children do this? Like ride around on a bike with a price tag on it knowing full well your not going to pay for it, or go for a work out on the exersise bikes?

Dose anyone understand the BIG jump in there socitiey with these matters, if so please help me to understand as my little will be half.

    Many thanks and kind regards.

    Chris.

  20. Thai friends do not tip in restaurants and will not allow me to tip. What do you think? Do Thai waiters think farangs are crazy to leave 10% tips?

I'm sorry i havn't read any other post but the 10% rule always aplys to good service in the western world, i always tip if the service is good even if the food isn't as they don't get paid a lot and its not there thought for the crap chefs.

Saying this i totally understand what your freinds are saying, my GF is shocked when i give a 20%+ tip on a 35 baht taxi ride(40 baht). Just do what you think it warrents, but do your best to make yourself look good.

    Chris.

  21. Such a easy one to understand, not even a life time ago aussie, kiwis and cnadians were being call this very word in the jap's prisoner of war camps in Singapore as they were sucked/choose to fight for a once upon a time mother land. Anyone doughting this should take a look, but like most thing the Brits come up with are stolen and used in another way.

  22. On friday night we heard an almighty thud as a motorcy went down on the road outside my Wife's restaurant.

The two riders were luckily not injured ...but it could have been a lot worse.

Apparantly a car went past them and the bike was wacked with a big pole/stick, they also tried to get one of our waitresses but missed.

The lights on the car were out to avoid identification. This was about 1.30am.

Anybody else come accross this sort of "Late night fun" for drunk Thai guys?? :o

I never seen any thing live but saw a video clip what shocked me, Please take a look all as this is unbelivable. http://www.metacafe.com/watch/167564/thail...s_as_baseballs/
