  1. "The other suspect, also aged 16 and a fellow student, was able to escape with the bag which contained 2,300 Baht, a digital camera and mobile phone."

The bib cant arrest him though as he has 'connections; ?

P.s. Why has someone quoted a post from MMarlow that doesn't seem to exist on this thread?

Has it been removed? Does he have connections too? Maybe its the missing sspect who commented because someone insulted his fathers job?

Dou you like down south by any chance Ron?

Yes ,from the very little that I have seen of it.I passed through there around 25 years ago and stayed a couple of nights in Songkla then caught an overnight bus to Bangkok.I like photo's and scenery from anywhere even the middle of the Nullarbor plain in Australia.

    Show us the goods, rythm.^

Not sure what's going on here, I only asked due to the headscarf the woman on the bike was wearing. It's a decent shot I like greenery trees, the whole atmosphere etc...

I have no goods to show that could compete on this thread just some old point and literally shoot from the hip pics of songkran etc...from kind of an hi-8 shaped camera, point shoot and hope for the best.

I do have a camera though and am itching to get back to LOS and use a few thousand shutter counts.

  3. Maybe I shouldn't say this because it isn't even speculation much less based on evidence.

But being from the US and having planes go down in ways such as Lockerbie Scotland and 9/11, I start asking myself why the pilot didn't appear to have time or be able to call out a mayday, or report a problem at all, even in a descent from 35,000 feet...

Then again I suppose it could have been a total electrical failure although those systems are redundant.

    Please forgive my musing...

Lightning strike knocked out the electronics?

  4. Why do these farang male journalists that work for the nation have made up Thai female names?

I've noticed this for a while. The only feminists I have heard opinions from are these male farang reporters under a thai female guise.

    What's the fuc_king crack Sidney?

Maybe they are not female names?

Either way they are feminists, male or female.

  5. @ Konini or anyone else

Could you give me examples as what you use them in?

I've had a jar (Natco brand) for about a year and not used any yet, I did buy them for some indian recipe I had, but I forgot what the recipe was and lost the bookmark.

  6. Keep within the speed limit that bump is no hazard if your bike is road worthy.

You have to be joking. Motorcycles have to keep to the left - and those lanes not only have sharp bumps, there are also indented drain gratings to negotiate, meaning you have to swerve a lot to avoid hazards. Anyway, what is the speed limit? I defy you to exceed it on those inside lanes on a standard road bike.

Done it many times in the dark, luckily I'm still here I guess.

I must admit the 1st time I did it there was some bunnyhopping involved as there were large horizontal gauges cut out of the road on some road works I driven through.

Done 100kmh+ on a click but I was following the lights of a thai who was 200 metres ahead, if he came off his bike I would have stopped.

  7. "she reportedly found six small wounds - a pair of burned dots 2 centimeters apart"

I guess she never learnt how to add up dots, but if it came to money she would have true accountancy skills..

Never mind it was a just a prank and all good fun.

Back in a few minutes just gonna pop in to the garden and taze my neighbours son for a laugh, he's such a good sport, I can send it to 'you've been framed at least and get £250.

    Where's the harm in that?

  8. Just a little info, Thai has advised Airports Australia/Perth that the new 787 will fly in on 1st July, so all Perth fliers will after that date be flying in a Dreamliner, this morning I heard that cracks have been found in the wings of some carriers, that now might not be happening.

Don't worry about a few cracks they will paint over them and the TA logo if it lands in an emergency.

    Problem solved.

  9. Usually an OS will use almost all the RAM available. Testing for how much RAM is free is a red-herring. The OS will swap the stuff into and out of the RAM and/or pagefile according to what it needs. It may or may not complain when things are a bit busy and slowing down. In linux you can look at what is using how much of the hardware (top is a good tool) - maybe there is a similar tool for windows. In the past I cerainly ran XP with just 1 Gb RAM and no swap. It was ok unless I opened too many applications, especially a load of Thaivisa pages which are very scripty wink.png

Win 7 will show everything that is taking up RAM, the resource monitor is a good tool.

They still haven't fixed the known issue of MP4 file icons on the desktop causing massive memory leaks to cause a system crash though if your aware it's happening you can stop it I guess more than 50% of people don't though.
