  1. i read the posts about bad or good and that is the humourous part of the day for me is it taken seriously by most on here i think not.

I think far too many taking it serious...have a look at the news section...

I think you are spending far too much time in the kitchen.

Go out smell the roses ............There is life after thaivisa.coffee1.gif

  2. There's still some good Thai people around, even in a grasping place like Pattaya. In the last two weeks alone I've had three separate cases where I asked Thai people to do something for me and once they'd done it they refused to take any payment.

Yes Good & Bad in every country.

  3. Thankfully most of us have choices.

Some prefer the bar scene & casual, pay as you go sex.

    Others prefer the domestic life

I have experienced both. Depending upon your situation in life, you make a choice.

There is no good v bad - right v wrong.

    BUT, no $$$ no choices!

Some prefer the bar scene & casual, pay as you go sex.

When I was a young lad we called this "Cash & Carry or take away"

My understanding is that the rate is taken from when they receive the money to their (bahtsmart) account, not when you transfer.

I wouldnt expect it to be when I transferred the money, only when they received it. It is the same for Moneygram, if the rate changes while you are doing your transaction then you get the adjusted rate.

As for timing, I made my first a transaction at 11pm on the 7th and the money was in the Bahtsmart account at lunch time on the 9th. My beneficiary received the money at 8pm Aus time.

    Hope this helps.

    NOT TRUE !!

BahtSmart will give you the lowest rate during the period from the start anywhere along the duration of the transaction.

This is what has happened to me not once but three times.

Mr BahtSmart was on line yesterday but no answer or comment from him or his company.blink.png

  5. In my native country, a lady 5 years my junior would be a reasonable expectation. I am 67yo

Previously, I posted that age was not a big factor.

We would talk about TV soapies, line-dancing, bingo, grandchildren, knitting. She would have the dressing gown on, rollers in her hair.

    Now I am really excited!

I just got a mental picture of that in my mind.......facepalm.gifbah.gif

  6. They had that new home scheme for government employees and the new car scheme and some teachers did both. I have a teacher friend in Isaan who was doing fine living in a small house on her parents property and having a scooter. Now she's buried in the payment for a new house and car and even some furnishings. She's just a friend and has never asked for help although I did catch all of her payments up for her several months ago. She was buying furniture for the inside and landscaping for the outside and curtains etc. instead of making payments.

Welcome to the Western credit mentality.

    Cheers

    Spot on!

I think there are a lot of Thai's in this situation not just teachers.

Running around in their new cars and flashing the Visa/ Mastercard

to show everyone that they have made it.

Now they have a chance to loose it all after they have lost their employment.

    Its has started already.coffee1.gif

  7. My wife is 41 & Im almost 70.

We have a very happy relationship, we do things together and we talk things out its called Communication

Most relationships break down because of the lack of communication.

When we first me she could not speak English & my Thai is a bit iffy. I took her out for lunch

on our first date & I took my notebook and we used google translate.

Today she has picked up a bit of English at times I think I am the only one

    that can understand her.

She tells her 13 Y.O. daughter to never marry a Thai man & to look for a falang.

Every 2nd day a Thai woman will ask Mrs Jessi where can they find a falang husband

or B/F, I just tell her not to get involved as there are good & bad Falangs the same as Thai men.

The women she went to Uni with are finding out on the grape vine that she has married a Falang

and are all calling her to check if its the truth as they are in a state of shock when they hear about it

and all want to meet this hansom Falang.wub.png

We hear a lot about the bad/sour relationships in Thailand and its always the bad ones that stick in our minds

We dont hear enough about the good/happy relationships and I think that is sad.

Now to answer the Op's question.

There are many reasons far too many to list here.wai.gif

  8. I would like to give an Honest reply to your post, but i think the mods would not allow it, It seems Thais have no respect for each other, so why would they respect a Foreigner. That's why in My opinion Thailands is on the wane it's had its day. Nearly everyone has a smart phone,, it will not be long before things like this are posted on Youtube. for the world to see.

Social media is catching up with them, its gone world wide with all the scams and crime against foreigners.coffee1.gif

May I missed something but a couldn't read any crime/scam in the OP...

They probably just planned a day at the beach and those things are a minimum supply for a Thai family...

Back to the kitchen for you

  10. I have only just started to follow this topic because it upsets me to see children get hurt or die

    because of other peoples stupidity.

I had a very bad accident back in 1961, my Father was killed (driver) and I spent 3 months in hospital

so I know what car accidents can do.

I have said it before & I will say it again it scares the sh1t out of me driving in Thailand.

The biggest problem is no driver education & the Thai attitude of me,me, me, me first.

I think Thailand is really number one for road deaths in the world because they only count the ones killed at the scene of the accident, not the one that die on their way to hospital or a few days later.............Once again the Government trying to cover up the gross negligence.

RiP to the people that died in this accident and a fast recovery to the ones that were injured.
