At 11.30 this Friday on BBC World (True Channel 53) the programme Peschardt's People will feature Wat Dhammakaya's Phra Nicholas, a Western monk who has made the sect "his life's work". From the forum on Dhammakaya's media channel:

"Michael and his team become the first foreign camera crew to be allowed to film inside the world's biggest Buddhist temple, being designed to house more than a million pilgrims. Michael is also shown around the complex by one of the monks, Phra Nicholas."

i first saw this car in Dubai in April, and on first glance thought it was a bentley.

it is a very noce looking car, and has a starting price in USA from 23 K USD - 43 K USD, but i could not find out the price when i rang the garage as no one spoke english

Who was your lawyer that you appointed to go over the contracts before you signed???,as he will be able to bring up the clause for you, thus get your money back.

A standard contract to purchase an Off - Plan villa will have a clause in case it is not built at all or in the time frame stated.

The buyers appointed lawyer SHOULD have checked this...

What it seems is the Agent is only trying to keep the client on, but the client SHOULD have complete legal rights to back out of this deal and get a FULL REFUND plus interest....

If you signed as SPA, and they have not delivered what they promised, they should be a clause in the agreement that entitles you to your money back with interest.

There is a new ' Credit Card ' Version of the Thai Driving Licence out now that actually looks like it wasnt made down Koh San Road..

Does anyone know how to go about converting my old Thai Driving Licence to the New Version ? IE where, what do i need to take as documentation and how much will it cost?

One of the hotel minivans actually went a little to far out to the left were they happened to dig a one meter deep hole to fix the drainings. Looked pretty nasty. Hope there was nobody in the bus except the driver.

It says that the transfer request will be withheld till the end of the banking financial year.

You could ask him to send you the transfer request, so you can see for your self . Tell them you need absolute and positive proof of this, your lawyer needs it because due to this, you cannot pay your own debts.

it is not strange at all and has nothing to do with conducting "real business" with India. fact is that even in "normal" times an indian citizen will not get the permission to change INR and transfer foreign currency to buy immobile property abroad. the prospective buyer lied to "Boater" and he should not have problems to change any amount of Rupees into hard currency on the gray market albeit with a loss of 2-3 %.
