  1. “The good old days” when I also worked in ME on rotation and came in and out 5 or 6 times a year. Even overstays were no big deal as I just paid the fine at departure. Around 2010, immigration would didn’t like the large number of ‘visa exempt’ stamps so I started getting a tourist visa before I came. I understand getting the you visa isn’t always an option but that was my experience.
  2. Join a gym. Plenty of 30-40’s ladies available.
  3. Wow, I am sorry to hear that this has happened to you... I would (of course) Not want this to happen to me (who would)... Would be quite "inconvenient" (to say it mildly). May I ask what you did do then... ? My case is a bit different than most (but then again, most everybody has a unique story and reason "why things are the way that they are"). In my case I would have enough time to apply for a new passport, through my embassy, in the country where I am at (until my flight takes place), which is in the Philippines. BUT - for some important reasons - I will need a passport that has actually been issued in the country of my origin. (Which in this case IS visible in the passport itself, it is stated there, WHERE it has been issued). (To not prolong this here any further, I will leave it at this for now). In my case, I went back to Saudi and obtained a new US Passport from the Embassy. It only took a few days.
  4. I was turned away at Emirates checkin in Bahrain flying to Thailand via Dubai. USA passport had less than 6 months validity. I was aware of that and had planned to renew when I returned to Saudi in a months time. Emirates staff at the check in desk refused to let me fly.
  5. Great information. Thanks for the effort and responses.
  6. That sounds outstanding ! Thanks
  7. Thanks for the responses. It’s what I suspected.
  8. I’m in Thailand and yes I used the office in PI. The email I received was from the PI office.
  9. I applied for US Social Security benefits back in September. I followed progress on the SS website and everything seemed normal. I got to the last step and nothing was happening. I enquired as to further progress on the Help area and a few days later I got an email from them saying they wanted to do a phone interview. It’s been scheduled for next month. my question is has anyone else gone through this phone interview. I assume it’s to ensure I’m actually a human and not scamming the system ?
  10. That's correct. We finally got someone at Toyota to tell us all newer models have a better mapping system. I guess I need to buy a new car.
  11. I own a 2018 Toyota CH-R with 'Nostra Digital Maps' for GPS. The maps are way out of date. I've asked Toyota and about updates for a while and finally was told Nostra no longer supports this option. The Nostra site wasn't very helpful. Has anyone experienced this issue and found a solution ? Please don't tell me to "just use your phone". Thanks
  12. I was refused boarding by Emirates in Bahrain once with a less than 6 months validity passport.
  13. I SO want to use this service. Lights and sirens all the way to Patts. Escorts all the way to the Beer Bar at Walking street.
  14. A follow-up to my original question. I went to SamutPrakran Immigration on Tuesday and presented my new/old passports, all relevant copies, and the form supplied by UbonJoe. The letter from the US Embassy was not required, I was also able to do the 90 day report using the new passport. The whole process took no more than 45 mins. The 90 day IO told me to use the online 90 day reporting next time. Painless.
  15. Thanks for the info.
