I am looking at buying a pre- fabricated ( knock down house) on a small piece of land that I have a 30 year lease on, would just like to ask, is there any problems with planning permission from the land officer for a structure that is not permanent ( not bricks & mortar ) is the cost based on the size of the land & the footprint of the structure etc? A friend has told me that it doesn't matter the size etc & that he & a friend both paid 35,000 baht at the land department to get it registered, this is my first time in doing something like this & seeing as this is Thailand, I find it expensive...... Yes exactly, but I bought the cable that has the protective sheath around it as it protects it from damage & also from the sun, I have solar cables that are inside, so this is not a problem.....

Yes I am in the process in doing so, but the seller is disputing the return, another member has said that there is a join which isn't ideal & is something that I also thought, but as it has a outer sheath, you can't see anything, i bought the same cable (5 metres) a few years ago from the same seller & was as described & the same colour through out......

Hi, o.k thanks, I thought that the colour variation was made when being manufactured for different regions, being joined isn't ideal (less joins the better) I've had my solar system running for a couple of years now & just need to move the panels further away hence buying a longer cable, I will get myself a multimeter, but for now it's easy enough to just unconnect the smaller cable & connect the longer one... Thanks for the response, but I was curious as to how the colour of the cables are not the same colour all the way through, I don't have a multimeter, but all cables from a safety aspect should be the same colour from one end to the other.....

I have just received a 10 metre shielded solar panel cable, in the sellers picture it had red & black cables with (Mc4) connectors at the other end it was cut, the cable colours were a different colour blue & brown, I have ordered a 5 metre shielded cable before & it's the same colour through out, as it is shielded I cant see, I'm thinking it has been joined together with a different piece of cable & if it was surely they would of used the same colour & I would of been none the wiser..... As you can see in the first picture, this is what I was expecting to receive..... Cheers Baz

I recently returned from the u.k, using a single re-entry permit, I went online to do my 90 days reporting as I had left the country, I got a message saying I didn't have to do one yet & also didn't receive an email etc, is this correct?

I know that although I still have to have the compulsory insurance on my motorbike even though I also take extra cover with another insurance company (second class) I have recently bought a new car that had first class insurance included, was wondering when I come to renew, will I still have to take the compulsory insurance too, as I read that it's not need needed if you have first class insurance, I still think that it's ridiculous to have both on my bike, so just another question, In the unlikely event of an accident, could I use the government cover first & then use the other insurer if the government cover wasn't enough? I'm going to go to the bank tomorrow, already been to restaurant today, but the owner that speaks good English wasn't there.....

I used prompt pay yesterday & have just noticed that I was charged twice, I can't see how I could of accidentally paid twice, does anyone know how this could of happened? Virus on my phone or some glitch on the app etc, I don't think it's a scam as I regularly go there to eat......

I find the best solution is to just go around them......
