I arrived before the 8:30 opening time. Opened exactly on time. My queue number was 7. An unprecedented (for me) six desks were open for processing of extensions. The first applicant was finished after just 10 minutes and it was my turn. The lady officer seemed much more efficient than last year, going through the papers very quickly. I was sent to the superior officer's desk for the final check after mere minutes. That lady officer was not present however and two applicants were ahead of me. Waiting time was about 10 minutes. The final check took less than a minute while last year all my papers were checked thouroughly and the lady asked me several questions. A big improvement. There must have been some streamlining process during the last 12 months.

When asking for a queue number for the re-entry permit I was told to first make copies of 1) my passport data page, 2) the page with the new permission to stay and 3) the departure card. (Last year they also asked for a copy of the page with the last entry stamp.)

Despite my trip to the copy shop far away in the basement I managed to finish everything in 70 minutes - a new record for me

Use Amazon or eBay/PayPal. If you can't buy it there, forget it.

After using ICS for a few weeks: it feels generally faster (!) on my Sensation. (I did always keep as many apps as possible on the SD card.) The only thing that's noticeably slower is establishing a wifi connection - but not annoyingly slower. I had none of the problems other users have reported elsewhere. Satisfied customer

The update to ICS has been available since June 6. I didn't install it yet though.

Jus to avoid any confusion, you do not need your #3, the old 90 day report slip if you have re-entered the country sometime in the previous 90 days.

On leaving, I have had the immigration officer keep the old slip, hand it back to me, leave it in the passport or throw it in the trash. If you are leaving, it becomes worthless. If handed back to me or left in the passport, I throw it away in the next trash bin a run across while going to my gate.

Last Saturday I departed from Suvarnabhumi on a short trip. I knew I had trouble coming when the officer at the passport check removed the (stapled in) Receipt of Notification of my 90 days report. I politely asked for it back as it has always to be returned when doing the next report. It even has a stamp "KEEP IN PASSPORT". He insisted that he had to keep it. I explained that this might be something new that I didn't know about but I would prefer to have it back. He didn't seem to understand or be willing to give it back. I repeated my argument several times until he finally gave in and returned it to me. I thanked him sincerely. My next thought was to be careful not to loose it now as it was no longer stapled in. Of course then I lost it some time before boarding my flight

Has anybody encountered this before? What happens if you can't produce the old receipt on doing the next report? Of course I know the 90 days start anew on arrival back in Thailand. On the immigration webpage it even says to mail in "Previous notifications of staying over 90 days (if any)" (I've been doing the reporting by mail for a long time now).

My retirement extension (800k method) was unremarkable this year. Arrived before opening time, nine ahead of me in the queue, got called after 50 minutes, finished in 25 minutes (no fingerprint scan this time).

There was a change for obtaining the re-entry permit. Apart from the filled form the officer required copies of the passport data page, the page with the last entry stamp, the page with the current permission to stay and the departure card. (He apologised for the trouble.)

Contrary to some rumours no copies of any passport pages were required for the 90 days report - just the filled form and the passport as before. I was 9 days early for the report which was accepted, so I assume that statements on this board about the margin for reporting now being 10 days before or after the actual reporting date are correct. The video shown today in the waiting room stated 10 days for reporting by mail (in advance only in this case), while it was 7 days before. The immigration website still states 7 days for both personal and mail reporting which I now consider outdated.

I was told at that store at 1 pm that they would get 100 iPads per day. PowerMall in Siam Paragon department store still had stock left at 1:30 and I got mine there. Still had to queue for 1 1/2 hours - first for placing the order, then at the cashier and then to get the iPad, with a functional check being done.

Anybody thinks that this will change anything? Maybe for the worse?
