Correct,
Once the Embassy is notified, the Foreign Office will notify the Registrars etc in the UK. Maybe the Embassy has direct contact with the main Registrars dept or whatever, no need to go a long way round via the Foreign Office.

From what I see of the Toyota in Thailand, they are nowhere near the 'spec' of western models.
I have a year 2000 Avensis, 5 door hatchback. There has not one single thing gone wrong with it, (touch wood).

People should know the rules in different countries, by now.
What happens in the UK as regards penalties, or indeed, the rest of the world, is of no concern to Thailand.

Any UK person, indeed, around the World, including Europe, are breaking the law purchasing UK Lottery Tickets online. Although the Camelot Website goes worldwide, it is not meant to be played by anyone residing abroad.
This latest information has been released today.
It does state, within the rules on their website, that it is not allowed, however, this information, apparently needs to be more visible.

This is not new a new idea.
For the past two, maybe, three years, the sale of alcohol on religious holidays has been on the agenda.
It now appears as if the Government are getting to grips with it.

Kissed the girls and made them cry,
When the boys came out to play
Georgie Porgie ran away
Georgie Porgie, Pudding and Pie,
Kissed the girls and made them cry,
When the boys came out to play,
He kissed them too, he's funny that way.

I really hope it works, however, have you ever seen 2000 plus school children attempting to cross a road at the school gates?
A full contingency of Traffic Police on duty, yet, the drivers and motorcyclists still refuse to stop.

Not working now.
