My experience also when making enquiries at Petchabun immigration yesterday.
They doing extensions based on income now?.
I was turned down flat in March, 400K in bank is the only thing they would accept.

Good to see the use of the past tense. You had your chance and now it's over. However, mostly what you passed on was your arrogance. I can skip the warm British beer and toast with baked beans. Meat pies are also equally gross. Think of us as colonials but we'll never consider you our leaders or masters.
Dear me, another colonial who murders the English language.
Its chequered, and don't bother replying g with your wiki nonsense.

hello captain obvious, roads all round the world can be dangerous to a bike rider but one wearing protective gear has a better chance of lesser injuries.
Well Captain Leathers, I take it you will be writing to the Thai authorities on how better to take care of their citizens as over 60 motorcyclists perished on the roads a few days ago.
While your at it drop a line to the widow of the 70 yo Brit who was hit from behind by a pickup truck.

Why would your immigration office not allow the monthly income method?
Phetchabun Immigration no monthly income method. Flatly refused in February for marriage extension.
In the head honcho office for an hour arguing, would not budge. Despite all the paperwork evidence. Pattaya, 12500B, unless they change the staff in Phetch I'll never step in that office again.

Easy to do yourself.
Not if you immigration office will not allow monthly income method for extensions. If you haven't the 800/400K Baht in the bank, an agent is a good alternative.

Richard, dont rise to the bait mate, your replies have all been appreciated. I too am in the same boat as you, been away for a while now.....because needs must to support my family, its us guys who break our balls to be able to lead a good life, dont let some strangers on this forum get to you. Some people have nothing better to do. One day they will reap what they sow. Stay safe mate and im sure you will be with your family soon, as I will. Keep safe.
well maybe you, Richard and others should have looked at the implications of marrying a foreigner and basing yourselves in a foreign country more closely.
Thailand is not the west, its values and versions of democracy are just not the same. its monarchy, religion, people here, that's Thai people, just look how they treat the Rohingya refugees.
When the rioting was getting out of hand in Bangkok, the red/yellow shirts, the head of the military, one Prayut Chan-o-cha said he would close the country- everything, closed.

If he doesn't even have 17000 Baht how did he get a visa? Time to send this guy home before he becomes an even bigger problem. His situation here will be not get better without money. In the end such people create problems for the rest of us here.
You just got off the boat?
The bloke is from Chon Buri, getting the annual retirement extension will be the least of his worries. Well if he remembers.

Watched this on a morning news channel. The girls with more revealing black tops had their chests pixelated out. This when flouncing up and down throwing durians in a sack. Spoilsports.

now what plaque would that be? if you are going to slag us all off at least use the correct word.

another perennial topic but to be fair to the OP he describes an amusing encounter.
Many years past, I was pushing my shopping cart up the aisle in Lotus and an elderly farang turned the corner of the aisle, I could see the look of fear in his face as approaching myself fast, it was too late to do a 360' .
He then jumped head first into the nearest chest freezer.

I will just tag onto this topic and have a few points about the Mastercard issued by Bangkok Bank.
The card we have, its a joint account has TPN on it. Recently used it to purchase Thai health insurance and the cars annual insurance and had no problems.
I tried to buy online one of those tv packages you see on FB, the company would accept payment in Thai Baht and did the conversion into US dollars. Problem was on checking out it rejected the Mastercard, or something like card issuer denied payment.
I had another go with a UK vpn and the card was accepted, However its a 5 day free trial first and payment is after the 5 days I think!.
Finally is there any issues with opening a Thai paypal account and registering that Mastercard.
I will answer my own q, just tried to set up paypal account in Thailand, no problem, but will not link the Mastercard, must be a credit card, oh well.

So what's the difference between these three?
Toytota Hilux Vigo 3.0
Toytota Hilux Vigo 3.0 Prerunner
Toytota Hilux Vigo 3.0 Champ
All 3 looks exactly the same, can have 2/suicide/4 doors, I can't find a difference... .?
Usually it is Toyota's mid life upgrades. My 2010 Vigo has a 4 speed auto gear box, the Champ has a 5. All the switches were changed on the Champ dashboard. New grill and lights, rear aircon, maybe a few more cup holders.
On mine only 3 air scoops, Champ has 4, etc etc

A plane is something a carpenter uses. If you are going to critique know it alls. Please use correct terminology.

There is a glut this year, the trees are laden and little point taking them to the market.
My sister in law is turning them into a dried mango dessert and I am doing chutney and wine.
good for you, we don't all live in the countryside, some live in urban areas where we use these places called shops and markets.

wife just bought a kg of mangos for 10 Baht in the Sunday market. Yep, really struggling.
Good job I like the things.

you have a wise wife... the simple truth is that basically, you can insult your mother or your family member, but you should not insult someone else's nor they yours.
And so many people on this forum will call their wife and their wife's relations stupid... they likely do this to their face too, then don't understand why they are not well received... and funny enough, their uneducated farm-girl wife has learned to speak some English while they cannot speak any Thai..
Yet another Mr Thailand here explaining Thai culture and how to deal with our extended families.
Please spare us such drivel.

Tosh, you don't need a yellow book for any of those things Clearly another Mr Thailand who likes to boast about having a yellow book/pink ID card.
