It should be coded as FTT. (Foreign Telex Transfer)
Yes they will.
There are no charges.
Again with BKK it will be coded as FTT.
Not with UK government service pensions, Bangkok Bank passbook code it as BTN.

BTW its not up to the joker, he doesn't have a hand in it
you need to read the amendment to the Police order about income again, and as far as I am aware BJ is still in charge of Immigration.
Another Mr Thailand on TVF.

This is ridiculous, Big Joke needs to sort it, you cannot have rules for 4 embassies and rules for others.

I take it that it is still located in the PTT service station on the frontage Road, Route 1. I remember when it first opened and thought a strange place to open an IO.
I notice now there are two Burger King joints north and southbound, another decade and they may reach Phetchabun. Not that I go at 40 Baht to one Punt.

Maybe if they had used the words 'certify or verify' we Brits would be OK. My last BE income letter uses the words 'stated and stating'

well if that is the case I am up sh*t creek with the combination method. I have a British Embassy proof of income letter sitting in the house ready for my annual retirement extension due in March.

You can pay AIS directly on your phone using the Bangkok banks mobile banking app or using the AIS app.
or for those who don't like p*ssing about with phones pay at an ATM. It will cost 20 Baht, hmm, maybe not an option for all the tightwads on here.

I think the amount charged is correct.
Unless something has changed which I have missed, I recall that Excess Baggage Rates are charged at 1.5 percent of the full Y IATA fare for the sector of travel.
Therefore GBP6500 x 1.5% = GBP97.5/KG x 20KG = GBP1950.00
But never let the facts get in the way of another rabid pack attack on THAI Airways on Thaivisa.
Where do you get 6500 GBP from?, the OP wrote that his airticket cost 544GBP.

'wouldn't take much to top it up to 800K'.
What do you suggest?, go out and rob a few 7/11's.
Jeez where do these folk come from.

Post your Passport to an unknown person ???????
Friend of mine up here (province east of yours) just been down to do it, a must apparently for first time. Cost just short of 13K BHT. He has explained all the process involved, simple enough. The only thing I didn't like the sound of was posting your passport down there for 90 day report.

just bought my wife an Oppo A7, for 6990 Baht. Battery life and finger print scanner are good.
I am still running with an Asus zenfone, the one with the 5000 amp battery, not sure what glass they put on those phones but not a mark on it, no protective screen cover and I tend to treat my phones roughly, ie dropped a few times.
The Redmi Note 7 appeals as a replacement.

Well while we are all trumpet blowing about BBK, me too.
Been with my branch in Sri Thep for 12 years, never had a prob with immigration letter, just got a new mastercard, and the manager signed my recent certificate of life form for pension.

Come on, there is so little to fill in on this form a ball point pen would be quicker than filling in on your PC. You would still have to change the date.
At Phitsanulok I do not even need this form...passport in reader machine, out comes the sheet to go in my passport.
When I did my Extension in December, the Immgration girl asked if I would NOT fill it out (in?) on PC but do it by hand next time.
Agreed , I find being retired here one has much more free time now. Fill in TM 47, with my favourite 1.00 pen, photocopies of passport pages (a quirk of our IO), address two envelopes and off to chat the girls up at the post office counter. I could drive up to the IO and do in person, 110km from my front door but cannot be _____.

the same on my Bangkok Bank savings passbook and has been for some time, ie BTN.
Its because the pension administrators in the UK transfer my civil service pension to Citi Bank in Bangkok first and then it is moved across to my BKB account.
When visiting the main Silom branch of BKB they asked why it could not be transferred directly to them. I did inquire once, but all too difficult, the pension admin send pensions to something like 74 countries and this is the way it is set up.

So four embassies refuse to verify their citizens incomes and this will be TI response to that. Fair enough, soldier on.

If they only have a pension of 30K pm they didn’t qualify for the extension using the embassy letter either!
You did if you used the combo method. This is good news and at last some clarification. As I see it no need to give the Brit embassy 52 quid every year. Use your British pension which has been paid into my Bangkok Bank every month for yonks now and top it up with the savings account. This should easily meet the monthly income for retirement extensions. Of course I like many others await if this new combo method will be allowed.

You would not be asked for a new report unless you went to immigration to do something (extension or 90 day for example) and they notice you had done a new entry. That is when you could be fined for not doing the report.
Yes, this is exactly how they are doing it at Phetchabun Immigration, fining all if not reporting within 24 hours of arriving at your home address. Just flown in myself, drove up Christmas day to IO and did report. Copies of all stamped pages of passport, ID page, copies of wife's ID and tabienbaan, signed by her. Plus filled in TM30. I asked the IMM Officer if could do by post , instead of 240km round road trip for a job that takes a few minutes to do, 'No', must do in person.
As I had just returned from foreign trip, a white piece of paper also stapled into passport, with 90 day report date stamped and reminder of financial penalties for not doing so.
I was going to pursue a line of, 'you think we cannot work out 90 days from entry date ourselves'
but wished them all a merry 'kissmus' instead.

Must be the way you look at them, I never get stopped and asked for ID. The Police always just smile and wave me through.????
Although it is sometimes accepted as general ID at various places, having a Thai Driving Licence is actually only valid proof that you can legally drive on Thailand's roads.????
Porkie alert, 'The Police always just smile', so where exactly are these smiling Police?. I have not encountered many. Certainly not at the expressway toll areas when pulled over.
Thai driving licence has your address on the back, so kind of useful if you get wiped out in a RTA here and they need to contact family.
I have no axe to grind on pink ID's/yellow books. Some on this forum revel in the fact that they possess such items. I find the less I have to do with Thai officialdom the better. When Immigration which is the one most of us have to deal with tell us we must have them, I'll join the queue.

Having just read about Big Jokes latest antics in the paper we cannot quote. There is a few good lines about agents lol.
They are saying (Thai Immigration) that you can use the Line App for visa stuff, applications, report address etc. I have just had a quick look on LINE, lots of stuff but as expected all in Thai. Comments?

I think that will be the case but I cannot say with any certainty that it is correct.
I have had my income going directly into my bank account for several years already so no need for me to prepare for it.
Same here, my UK company pension paid into my Bangkok Bank account for many years. Trouble is it is a joint account so my wife has access when I am away. I have just received my BE income letter and will hopefully be able to use that for my last? extension based on retirement in April next year.
After that it will likely be a marriage based extension and I take it immigration do not accept joint accounts?

Foreigners now need to keep 800k in Thai bank for three months AFTER retirement extension is granted

BTN stands for BahtNet apparently. The pension administrators pay the pension in Sterling to citibank Bangkok and then its transferred to your local bank. I believe BKB take a fee too.
The fee from UK is 2.74 GBP, I have done this for over 10 years now, the only downside is waiting for your money a little later. GSP's include civil service as well as military.
