She expressed sympathy for a 9 year old boy. We do not know if the allegations are true. She is presuming guilt without due process of law. If guilty, I sincerely hope that he is served with the maximum sentence, and I hope that the child recovers. However, until found guilty, I cannot stand by a presume he is guilty.

I hope the poor little 9 yr old boy recovered from his terrible ordeal...
Disgusting !!
How exactly is it that you know he is guilty?

Man, I have no useful advice whatsoever, but I want to know the conclusion of this mess. Good luck to you dude.

Sri Wittaya Paknam
She's cool!

They promise to be open by the end of September. I am really hoping so, as I work 5 minutes from that location!

^^Been stopped there a number of times on a motorbike. Even twice in go turning onto Rama IV from Sathorn. I shit you not. I was flagged over at the red light. Forced out of 100 baht. Then, I got stopped again when the light turned green and I turned. I just laughed at the second guy and told him to go talk to the guy in the both and gunned it.

I've done many such trips on my Neuvo.
1) BKK --> Hua Hin --> Cha Am --> Ratchaburi --> Kanchanburi --> Bangkok
2) BKK --> Bang Saen / Pattaya (many times)
3) BKK --> Korat --> Phi Mai --> BKK
4) BKK --> Chom Bung, Ratchaburi (many times)
It's not hard. Stick to the rules. Stay to the left. Stay on the frontage roads.

I've had occasion to be in the slums of Klong Toei a few times. Each time I have been there in broad daylight, I have openly observed children younger than 9 years old abusing inhalants of some sort. They sit there inhaling the fumes openly, even right next to a school. It's shocking to see, yet nobody seems to care in that environment. It's like stepping into an alternate universe. Truly disturbing .....

Is beer going to be available for purchase in hotels, restaurants or pubs at all today in Hua Hin. We are making the trip down to Hua Hin in a few minutes by minivan from Victory Monument. It'd be nice to have a few beers tonight. The hotel advised me that they won't be serving any alcohol. I should bring by own for the fridge. Any information out there?
Cheers! I don't need a lecture about having a day without drinking. I'm going with my girlfriend to celebrate her birthday and numerous other positive things that have happened in our lives recently. This is the first time we have been able to get out of Bangkok in quite some time. We just want to enjoy ourselves as much as possible.

The other half walked in with 3 bottles of beer earlier. Should I report her, or "hide" the evidence?
Hide the contents, quick before BiB confiscate them.
Possession isn't illegal!!

Is that so because your girlfriend said so?
Nah, she is at work. She wouldn't entertain your idiotic postings ... I do it for my own amusement!

If YOUR girlfriend says it must be so.
You are a very uninspiring individual with strange views on things misrepresenting the facts because you fail to understand them. Sad indeed.

Are not you just a hero? You will go to shop and drink in open view
Why not? The Thais are out there doing it right now! Why not join them?

Amazing how popular a topic this is every year especially considering this happens once a week in the USA in many states every Sunday.
Check your sources dude. How many states? It is very much in the minority. And, in states like Colorado with this silly law, the bars still serve.

Dude, you need to roll one for a change and think about Buddhism! embrace what you have..
Why not do both? Good call!

ALL Buddhists would not drink alcohol (precept #5)
I thought it was precept #4 according to my girlfriend.
-
2. Alcohol in restaurants with meals are not prohibited
Yes, it is. Hotels are the only exemption.

^^ Indeed, you aren't a doctor. My actual doctor said it was just fine for me to celebrate over the weekend. My girlfriend and I will be going to Hua Hin tomorrow. Don't worry yourself. I think I will go open a beer because I can. Or, I will go to the shop around the corner and sit in plain view drinking a beer in front of it. What's it to you?
-
I'm off to the shops to stock up then......
Are you worried to be dry for 2 days ? Lol
I'm on holiday from work, and I am getting together with friends on Friday. Not worried about being dry for two days, but worried that when I will want a beer, I can't get one. Is that okay?
No, it's not. While I agree with you and have similar reasons for wanting to have a few beers, we are labelled as alcoholics and referred to AA by those who can't understand the desire to or are unable to responsibly have a drop!

3 boxes in my house currently! I'm not terrified!

Yes, actually I am. What does it matter to you? After 4 months with a broken leg and just being given clearance to walk without assistance and 5 days off from work, I'd like to enjoy my time off. This is a cause for celebration. Let's add to that ... My girlfriend has just gotten her visa approval to visit the US in October to meet my family. Also, one of my best friends is moving to Bangkok. Yeah, it does kind of bother me, as I am not Buddhist.

Yep, I am sure that number is just going to be ringing off the hook! I've already been told at one of my local establishments that they have been given the clearance to sell on Fridays; however, tomorrow is off limits here in Bangkok.
Bail Jumping Brit Re Arrested For Child Molestation
in Pattaya News
Posted
My question still remains. What is it that you know about this particular 9 year old child that the rest of us do not? There is no proof that anything has happened to any child anywhere. What we are certain of is the fact that this guy jumped bail. Okay, lock him up and let him serve his day in court. If he is guilty, let him fry. If he isn't .... I rest my case. There's no reason to assume anything here. There's just some guy who jumped bail. Maybe he feared the Thai Justice System. If that were the case, he probably wouldn't have stayed. Nevertheless, that is merely speculation.
Don't paint everything with a single stroke of the brush.
