I've been on a spiritual journey for 18 years.

What is the meaning of life? I don't have a clue, and I don't trust anyone that claims to.

Bible< Koran ect, great guides to living life< for the masses

Prayer and meditation, yes everyday.

Go to prostitutes, you bet, I belive if the great teachers were here today, they would judge us not on what some percieve as sin, but on how we treat people, do I treat them with dignity and respect, do I pay them fairly?

I treat religion like a buffet, go to them, take what I like or need. Just remember all religions are influenced by man, I was a catholic ,altar boy, and while they have some good things, find that it was a wonderful way for them to control people, and a lot of it has nothing to do with God.

Stop and think about it, we were taught by women who belived they were married to Jesus. If the church were not so powerful they would have been put in the looney bin.

Priests were not allowed to marry, if we study history do we find an early Pope was gay?

Me thinks we were sold a bill of goods by control freaks.

I find this emotional immaturity (maybe wrong description?) very refreshing, I am an American and find that I am emotionally complicated and so are the American women. (maybe a better description "uncomplicated emotionally"?). I personally find it much eaiser to deal with.

Thanks guys and gal, I try to be non judgemental, and keep an open mind, and just let people be what they are. But after reading so much about the poverty of Issan, I really was supprised by this trip. I had no intention of having a girlfriend here, but this lady is nothing like so many of the stories I read here and on other forums. She has finished high school, works hard, is itelligent, not very wordly but learns very fast. The only downside is she is emotionally immature, which I've noticed to be common among asain women, I do no mean that as an insult just an observation.

The American Govt. spends huge sums of money on useless reasearch, and one of those studies involved foods that affected mens sex drive. We all know that oysters and vitamin e and leafy green vegtables are good for us. But they also made a starteling discovery about what the worst food was for a mans sex life. WEDDING CAKE

I came to Thailand a couple of months ago, and following the advice of this forum I met a lady at a beer garden and have been with her since.

When I went to meet her family it was not what I expected, she is Issan and the family is a farm family in Khon Kean, The first thing was the house, a nice 2 story concret structure, whice she and her brother had built. The father is an itelligent man who even speaks a little english, I wanted to do a little project for them and needed a tool, I told them what I needed and here comes dad from the barn with a 1/2in Mikata hammer drill.

These people are poor, but what happened to the illiterate uneducated rice farmer, I expected to meet?

Smashing idea, I would be willing to go in partners with you. This is probobly the only ripoff of farangs that has not been tried in Thailand.

As an acknowledged expert in the field of alcoholism and drunkeness, I can attest there are only two scientificly proven ways to avoid hangovers.

1. Stay drunk, as soon as you wake up start drinking again, does not matter what as long as it has alcohol in it. In a pinch even aftershave will work.

2. Do not drink, quit drinking, go on the wagon and stay there, absolutely no booze.

After many years of intensive research I have found these are the only 2 fool proof ways. All the other''s like drink olive oil befor you go out. Drink lots of water, 2 asprins with a coke, don't mix your drinks, make sure you eat ect arre just old wives tales. If there were a cure for hangovers it would be on the shelf right next to Viagara.

I had one night out in Chaing Mai, I wandered from bar to bar and found no nudity, Just that covered up shuffle with the bored look. |And then I noticed not one lady with a dollar bill or Baht stuck in her attire anywhere. Mayber this is the problem. You've heard the story about Paplov's dog? Anyway I stuck a few hundred Baht notes in some obvious places and really got some attention. I can't belive no one else in the place got the hint. THESE GIRLS ARE THERE FOR THE MONEY. And you get what you pay for.
