Internet dating is bad? I have not even got to Thailand yet and I have been chatting with four ladies. NOw take into consideration I'm young (55) good looking (a face only a mother could love on payday) and rich (by Thai phesant standards). What is so bad?

This is the 21st century, use what is available, mass marketing and such,

How long would it take you wandering from bar to bar to find 4 women that speak fluent english? Silly me, thinking you might actually want to talk to them.

Many years from now in a world far away, a man was traveling the country seeking his fortune, walking from village to village.

He came to a place in the road where a wizened mature village woman sat, He stoped and asked what the people in the next village were like? The woman looked at him and asked how he found the people in the village he came from were? He replied that they were liar's and cheats, drunkards, and just all around bad people. The woman smilled and said that was how he would find the people in this village.

Some time later another traveler came upon the woman, and asked her what the people in the village were like. She asked him what the people in his village were like. He replied they were a wonderful sort, honest and happy, friendly and helpful, like a village made up of family.

Tha mature woman smiled, and said that is how you will find the people in this village.

I love this little story, it is as you belive it is, If I remember correctly it is the Buddhists, that belive we create our own reality.

Just for the heck of it try being nice to somebody, what goes around comes around

I don't think that guy's who are licking bar girl's should be concerned about food hadleing, food may be most sanitary thing they are eating :laugh:

Food all over the world, weather 5 star restaurant or street stall is handeled terribley, so really wish you would not bring it up. Ignorance is bliss.

overheard in reastaurant, 2 waitresses are peaking out door of kitchen and then break out in laughter, saying look he is actually eating it.  Tip well, treat waitress with respect, it is your only defense.

As a non drinker, non partyer, it was suggested I go to  a small Thai massage parlor. How do I find these? What would be reasonable compensation for removing a lady from the premisis for s/t l/t?

I have nothing against drinking, if that's what you enjoy go for it. I even buy once in a while.

Open air bars, now there's a thought, but I seem to read a lot of negative things about Pattaya.

Got my ticket from USA Nov. 30th for Thailand for 3 to 6 months.I notice a lot of posters here go out to bars alot . Leaves me in a dilema I don't drink, I have an allergy to alcohol. I don't like loud noise (music) , a smoke filled disco would be like a tourtre chamber to me. I would still like to meet some young ladys for entertainment. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Not sure is this is joke or serious question, It's not nice to pick onthe hadicapped so I will treat it as a serious question. If I did not tell you you would not know I have any disabilities ie I was shot in the right arm in Nam and have loss of motion in that arm and pain = 10%, add 2 more 20% and another 10% and I'm 60%, I am not quailified for a handicapped parking spot, which is a good thing.

Hey Guy's and Ladies, I'm 55 retired and plan to spend the winter in Thailand, I am eligible for medicare and am a 60

% disabled veteran, will either of these do me any good in Thailand and if not what do you do for health insurance? thanks in advance and  See you soon.   Jim
