  1. Best plan of action? Go to court on the date given. A single joint isn't a big deal. If he's lying about what happened and he was really caught with a kilo of coke up his rectum that's a different story.

His brig problem is that his visa wxpires before he goes to court. THis means that after the case when he walks out the door of the court if he does, the immigration police will arrest him and detain him for deportation. If his visa has been extended they cannot do this.

If found guilty of a drug offense he will get deported anyway

  2. I'm not sure why one would need a "Machine" to make bread ?! :)

My grandma used to make bread all the time, all she needed is a

table and an oven ... but than she was a big strong women and

could give the dough the pounding it needed !laugh.gif

Anyway, Central has a very well stocked home department, I would

bet they have what you are looking for. Other places to consider

    might be Index.

Other than that, I would guess you would have more luck in Bangkok,

such places like Emporium and Robinson come to mind ...

    Good Luck,

    rudi

It may not occur to you, but many of us live without such luxuries as strong tables and ovens.

And, I'd like to see you knead bread with tennis elbow!

    Indeed!!

I like the idea of the bread machine, as you only have to measure the ingredients, and put them into the machine, set the timer, Job done!!

    <deleted> all that kneading business

  3. I used to get mine from Makro, part baked I think, just put them in the oven from Frozen, very nice indeed. Used to buy in packs of 6 for about 60 baht.

Now the breadmaking machines I have seen in the uk for about £100 are 600 watts, and bake the bread in an hour, so to cook them would be 3/5 of 1 unit of electric, 4 baht say, then the ingredients, and I would put in some nuts, and lots of Garlic, so IMO much cheaper, and you own receipe

  4. like the US and more than half of Europe, the UK is essentially bankrupt, a result of years of over spending, moronic decisions as to how to spend that money, lies and deceit by New Labour.

This means the governments of the future will be under more and more pressure to cut spending wherever they can. And don't think the spending cuts will be fair, those who have paid their way are just as likely to be victims, maybe more so, than the millions and millions of spongers that will continue to drag the UK down for years to come.

So be aware that your future pension may be at risk. By all means be fully paid up, but don't rely on it for your retirement.

At £2.20 a week for self employed, I am prepared to take that risk.

People paying 9% of their income are the ones I feel for.

  5. Hi Forky.

There's no absolute regulation regarding exporting a ground (except in the case of boats and caravans), however there are rules regarding extraneous conductive parts which make it unwise to export a TNC-S (MEN) ground to an outbuilding, there are particular hazards associated with metal framed units (Portakabins).

You may like to have a look in the IET Regulations forum here http://www.theiet.or...s.cfm?catid=205 particularly this thread http://www.theiet.or...6&enterthread=y and this thread http://www.theiet.or...&threadid=39422 could be of interest

Try an IET forum search on 'export'.

NOTE We don't normally allow links to other forums, the IET (formerly the IEE) is a globally respected professional organisation, in this instance I'm bending the rules slightly, anyone has a problem please contact support[at]thaivisa.com

Thanks crossy, better close the thread eh?

  6. Seem to remember a while back, about a regulation in the UK that did not allow you to export an earth to outbuilding of more than 5 meters away. Cannot seem to find the thread,?? anyone?

  7. I think you should consider that you was lucky that you did not have a serious accident where somebody was seriously injured or killed, as your 'insurance' was null and void, and that would have been very costly and indeed 'time'. Sorry to be harsh, but you should have to reputable rental place. You could try going down the route that the fralang has not got a work permit to hire out the car.

I know of a similar case where their was an accident, and both the driver, and 'hirer' done time!!

  8. When I am viewing this forum on my desktop, on some pages 2/3's of the screen is covered by what seems to be advert of some kind, but it just blacks out that part of my screen, and I can only scroll a little at the bottom.

    Using XP

    Chrome

    laptop is fine

  9. Also, I plan to get one of those WD Elements portable 1TB SE next time I am in the UK. They were on sale for £70 at a few places recently, how much are they in BKK right now?

Why would you want to buy something that is made in Thailand, 'in the UK'??

Well obviously cost, convenience and buying from a well reputable supplier. Just about everything that makes great shopping.

The GBP is in the toilet right now and with the mega deals and online shopping on in the UK, just about all electronics are much cheaper if brought within the UK and it's much easier to find the best price and supplier from sitting at my laptop at home.

    Any other questions??

    No only answers m8y

well a 500 gig sata HD brought from the UK will cost you about 32 pounds, in Tukcom, they resale for 1,200 baht, and oh the exchange rate is 50 to 1, you do the math, Krusty
