Actually Patters has everything I need, and living on the darkside/ East is very good. I would suggest that it might be easier to name things that are legal that you cannot do in Patters. I dont see anybody doing any rock climbing for instance (not that I would want to!)

What if I wanted 'peace, quiet and sanity', though? How much of a drive would that be?
About 15 minutes to Jomtien...
another 15 minutes and you are in Bang Saray...zzzzzz
or 15 minutes east to Maprachan lake

what about all the fralangs that own a bar? most do not have a wp, and what about people who rent out bikes, cars etc etc, again most do not have a wp?
-
indeed
Considering the first two threads you started before this one, I am more concerned what was taught wherever "back home" was for you

what did your local office say then? as regards to maintaining the place you abode in

@ pp Yes just make sure you have a main RCD/ELCB for the outbuilding, within the outbuilding

^ cheers crossy, very good explanation

@ IO, agreed, a potential difference is possible, but there is a UK regulation against it, I do not have my UK regs book to hand, but I will make some enquires. From memory I think that you could possibly introduce an earth fault that otherwise was not there. Myself I think I would bond them together though. Maybe Crossy can a little more input on this.
reason for edit, another post was posted before I had time to finish

not really a limit as such, what is important here is that you get a good external earth reading between 1 and 10 ohms ideally, and remember the further away you go with the rod, then the bigger the size of cable.
If you pm me with the details of your circuit, I will give exact sizes
ie size of load, size of cable

^ It sounds like you had a direct short between phase and neutral, probably on one of the elements, thats why the MCB tripped, if it was an earth fault then the in built ELCB should have operated on the shower. Sounds like they both tripped, which is good.
Just because your house has 3 wires with an earth, the earth still needs to be good quality, whether supplied by the PEA (unlikely) or an earth rod, and indeed if you have only protection by MCB's then the earth needs to be tested to make sure that reading is LOW enough, in order for the MCB's to trip in time, if you have a high value earth then under phase to earth fault conditions your MCB's will not rip in time to protect against electric shock.
-
^ how did you test the MCB with a multimeter??

I mostly fly with Emirates, and they charge £75 to change the ticket. They have an office in Bangkok, and it really quite simple to do by telephone
-
Just telephone Finair directly

@hr Indeed a good answer, and indeed you will get grassed by jealous fralangs here, and indeed again if the police have a reason, no matter what you are doing, they will want some tea money. It happens here in LOS
-
^ indeed, and if they had been, I am sure there would have been post by now about it.

How it works Phil, is that the CPTL insurance will pay the first 40,000 for injury, then the other insurances pay the rest , and as far as I am aware you cannot merge the two
-
no, you do not have to declare
