The reason those going from 1 year to 5 year didn't have to do the colour/reaction tests is these were introduced last year so we had already done them to get our 1 year licence, those renewing the 5 year licences have not done the tests before.
I will be renewing my 5 year license next year, and I DID those tests before!

AS3000 does not require the resistance of the electrode to the surrounding soil to be tested.
The resistance from the main earth bar to the electrode must be less than 0.5ohms.
The minimum size is 12.7mm copper clad steel for the electrode.
However where the TT earthing system is in use the regulatory authority may require testing. An earth resistance tester is the instrument used.
The actual values will depend on type of soil and moisture content, it is advisable to locate the electrode so as it is exposed to the weather, eg against the outer wall of a building.
The earth conductor should be protected where subject to mechanical damage.
Must disagree,
A TT system must be used in conjunction with an RCD, where the resistance of the rod can be as high as 200 ohms ( in fact 1667 ohms would still be adequate to trip an 30 mA RCD, but anything over 200 ohms is considered unstable BS 7671 2008)
Using a rod without an RCD is in effect useless.

so they are only selling them in BKK. there is no date for phuket yet, you can only get your name on a list for now. or try and find a shop that can get them from BKK and are willing to sell them for the 26k + 7% (which i had no luck with so far)

There have been recent postings here of free triple entry tourist visa issued from Hull, just paying for postage £8.
The admin fee has not been charged this time around. However last time free tourist visas were issued, Hull did charge an admin fee.
yeah that sounds about right
-
the single is entry is free, but you have to pay an admin fee of £15
triple entry will cost £90

a post referred to receiving an sms each time the card was used; can you advise which bank offers this?
Would be ideal for me, 52km round-trip to an ATM so card doesn't get used often - I don't get to check the balance often.
thanks
I use Ayudhya, it will also send sms for bill payments, and whenever I use the card

Thanks Jamie

Spoken like a true scotsman. Your biggest match is usually against the Faroe Islands.

The OP asked what percentage, not how much money you have.
FYI I am comfortable, been here 8 years, and I am now 41 years young
-
^ you have only hi jacked this thread to say how much money you have , pretty sad really
-
That is actually a good question.
I'm hoping to retire in 3 years and be able to generate a monthly income of around Baht 200,000. Where I'd like to rent in Pattaya is around Baht 65,000 a month so I think 33% of your income wuld be about right.
If I don't have enough money to generate Baht 200,000 a month, I'll either keep working or rent somewhere cheaper, I haven't decided which yet
well done for getting that in

I am interested in this.
I think basically once you have got your components, the first step would be to make 3 partitions on your hard drive, one for each operating system.
I think you should have 2 hard drives as well, SATA compatable the second one will hold all your data, which again should be partitioned at least a couple of times.

Cut yourself a piece of ply that will fit between the metal supports, screw into ply to secure, try to secure by fixing through the existing metal as well. Then fix the fan
I have the exact same ceiling, and used this method, no vibration
You could even put a 4x2 across the metal supports then fix
-
Best to fix the fan to the concrete soffit of the floor above.
It dosnt seem like he has one
-
No
You need to insert some plywood behind the plasterboard
The two cables are obviously 'live' and neutral, fans are not polarity dependent, so it really does not matter how you connect.
