Not only the British.
The Irish are sick of it as well. Local communities are rising up against the betrayal by their elected officials.
And why shouldn't they? Indigenous populations should be protected and prioritized like they are in the East.
The Libs have already ruined the West and Biden recently went as far as to insult the likes of Japan for standing up for their own citizens. What a clown show.

This is not politics.
Think of it like this. The IRA commit a terrorist act in England. The British government indescriminatly bomb 80% of all buildings in N. Ireland, displacing 85 % of the population, the kill tens of thousands of irish children.
Is that OK for you?
If not, why is it OK in Gaza?
I don't remember the IRA killing and raping and burning 1200 people in one day. Then parading victims around the streets.
I don't believe the IRA were integrated with the Irish government either.
This was a declaration of war. They wanted it and they got it. Now they are losing badly and trying to walk it back. Doesn't really work like that.

Just wait for the Olympics! If Israel are not banned there will be riots.
Politics should be kept out of sport.
In any case, a response to the October 7 attacks is no reason to ban Israel from anything.
Any country would respond to such a horrific terrorist attack by their neighbours.

Maybe people should look before jaywalking, look both ways again, then again, before crossing the street.
My ICE MG ZS was pretty damn quiet. For the life of me, I don't how people get run over crossing the street ... that actually looked first. Take responsibility for yourself and never depend on others.
All these news blips of people getting run over in TH ... any of them by EVs ... ?????

Yeah I've had a few Teslas blast past me at around 180 on the Bang na to Nawamin elevated highway.
I forgave them though, as it was clearly a purchase inspired by environmental responsibility.

Nothing kinder to the the environment than accelerating from 0-100 in 2.4 seconds on lithium power.
Where's my green stripe?

An EV sounding like a hoover ? Mine is totally silent.Only thing i can think of is the pedestrian warning sounds available on a BYD which can be silenced at the flick of a switch.
Make sure you turn those pedestrian warning sounds off.
The blind will be grateful I'm sure.
Not to mention wildlife.
2 tonnes of lithium silently whistling along the road flattening everything in their path and destroying the roads. Nothing greener than that...

This is a very important post in my opinion. It is very difficult to argue with someone who has owned and lived with all the cars being compared in a segment.
It's known as post purchase rationalisation.
Typically lasts between 1 and 5 years depending on the amount invested.

Easily explained: EVs are still relatively new in Thailand, so people still believe all the marketing hype and are still buying these useless things.
I wouldn't say they are useless. You just need a very specific set of circumstances for them to make sense.
No long adventurous journeys. No last minute detours when you pass the sign for the beautiful waterfall that you didn't know was there, just follow the app. A home with personal parking. Preferably solar panels. A penchant for hanging around gas stations drinking overpriced coffee.
As for marketing, yes. I am yet to see someone driving a Good Cat Ora that isn't a 20 something wannabee hiso girl that probably can't afford a mini Cooper.
I've got such an individual in my condo and it makes me nervous when she parks it near my car or under my second floor room (its a 48 unit low rise).
Also noticeable is that it has had a dent for 4 months now. She does seem the type to bump her way into parking spaces but I'm not sure if she can't afford the repair or the parts aren't available.

Is there anything antisemitic on that placard? It contains some harsh accusations against Israeli government policies but there is nothing anti-Jewish there. Many Jewish people around the world have similar views about the Israeli government.
Nonsense.
It's like saying a redneck carrying a placard stating that Africans kill babies is not racist because there are black people in Germany.
We all know that Zionist is a euphemism for Jew.
Stop making excuses for it. We all know what it is.
Apologists enable this to continue.

Like others I struggle to see the connection between the Sadiq Khan, the London Mayoral Elections and the Eurovision Song Contest.
Sorry if it was all getting too complicated for you. I will try to dumb it down in future if i think you are reading.
Maybe start by looking at the title of the thread and the two tier policing at the pro Palestine protests in London.
Failing that, try nzt-48.
14 hours ago, RayC said:Anyway just for the record - and correcting yet another of your factual inaccuracies - London does not have a "huge" Muslim population (unless you consider 15% to be huge).
15% of the electorate is huge in any election. Not many Muslims would vote for another candidate other than Khan. He's got their back and they know it.
Once you add in the hand wringing white guilt liberals he's got it all sewn up.

This type?
Fortunately not.
Its a bike, not a scooter (as in an electric mountain bike).
To be honest, I don't like having the battery in my condo for charging, makes me nervous.
I'm thinking of taking it to the farm and keeping it in the outside toilet that i built for the workers. I don't do many long journeys there and I have a lake to put out any fires so it almost makes sense in that very specific environment 😅.

What sort of battery chemistry does your e-bike have? Does it also have a BMS? As for a Camry Hybrid being comparable to an EV, you really don’t have a clue, do you?
If your sister in law does frequent long distance trips, then she made a poor error in judgment buying an EV. It has been repeatedly stated that an EV is not suitable for someone that makes frequent long distance trips. Surely she wasn’t virtue signalling I hope.
Many people who owns EVs do not have solar panels. You don’t need solar panels to charge an EV. It has also been stated repeatedly (obviously you haven’t been following the threads) that if you can’t charge at home (and that includes being able to install a wall charger), then an EV might not be suitable, depending on your transportation needs. It’s common sense really. If I don’t have somewhere to park a car, any car, then I really shouldn’t buy a car, should I? If I live in a condo that doesn’t allow pets, I shouldn’t own any pets, should I? If I have a Mia Noi and my wife will kill me if she finds out, then I shouldn’t have a Mia Noi, should I?
It’s amazing how common sense seems to be lacking in so many people (not you of course. You own a bike, a hybrid and a tractor).
A poor post by your standards.
Seems a lot of cases that make EV unsuitable. Why would I buy a car that is unsuitable for long trips? Or a car that I cannot charge when at my bangkok condo?
Unknown long term reliability. Unknown long term support. And you are really comparing a top model Camry to a BYD Seal?
It seems you need a very specific set of circumstances for EV to make sense and even then you are driving something that sounds like a hoover.
I also don't fancy a load of lithium in a device manufactured to a tight budget in China on my driveway. Like having a firework factory in the basement.

Typical, doesn’t own an EV and doesn’t know anything about them.
“Ignorance signaling”Well for a start I own an EV bike and a Hybrid Camry so let's put that to bed.
My sister in law has a full EV car. She likes to do trips up to and around Chiang Mai, Pai, Mae Hong son etc. Keeps moaning about having to plan her routes around the charging stations and then having to wait when she gets there. She was joking she's never drunk so much Inthanin coffee as she does waiting around at these stations. We suggested she buy shares in them.
7 minutes ago, Bandersnatch said:I own a D segment Saloon/Sedan EV and it’s cheaper than any ice car in the segment.
Depends on the market. In the UK (where I was referring to the green strip virtue signalling) they are not cheaper.
7 minutes ago, Bandersnatch said:Owned it for 6 months and apart from some short test charges in the first week it has been charged at home from solar. So haven’t had to go out of my way to fill up.
A very specific circumstance. Most people do not have solar panels and many do not even have somewhere to install a normal charger. My tractor is great for my farm, I wouldn't recommend my colleagues buy one for the Bangkok commute. Different circumstances, different use.
7 minutes ago, Bandersnatch said:It comes with 8 years of free servicing and very cheap road tax. All very inexpensive and convenient.
Insurance and depreciation are far more significant expenses than servicing and road tax. 20% harder on tyres etc.

What's the point of buying an EV if you can't virtue signal about it?
All that money and inconvenience, there has to be some benefits...

And yet when a woman does the same thing, it's a feel-good story.
Gotta love equality.

You mean keep voting until you get the "correct" result. How Democratic. 😃

There is nothing bright about Khan being re-elected by his cohort of anti-semites. I can see how you might see it that way though...

London is full of white Liberals and has a huge Muslim population. So his two tiered policing where Jews are forbidden from walking freely due to being "openly Jewish" and Pro Palestine protestors are allowed to openly call for Jihad are obviously popular with that Demographic.
Many tyrants have been elected.

She's female so expect a light sentence. The lads probably enjoyed it, right?
Had she ticked more DEI boxes (racial/religious minority or alphabet people) she would have walked, in the unlikely event it even got this far.
Unfortunately she is guilty of being white and thus far she has only served 30 years of her crime.
