Worrying times indeed for China.

Trump's tariffs have come at a terrible time for our Chinese friends and partners.

Oh what a tangled web we weave.
The machinations to keep the AFD out of power are coming at a high price to Germany, and ultimately the EU.

Yes, I watched all 4, just to see if it got any better. It didn't, and a poor ending.
Love the guy who wrote it, but could do better.
Agree.
I thought it got progressively worse with each episode.
First episode was OK. Went downhill from there.
Shame, I quite like Stephen Graham but not in this.

I wouldn't give up your day job. Reviewing TV and movies not for everyone.
I guess watching 3 people drive from their house to a hardware store to buy paint fascinates some people.

Adolescence, the 4-episode TV series (not the 2018 movie) is a huge critical success: An incredibly well-acted, well-written production.
I thought it was bang average. Filming every episode in one take without edits made for some incredibly boring scenes, like the journey to the hardware store from the house to buy paint. Riveting. 😃
Then there was all the woke political stuff. Toxic masculinity, Incels, black man good white man bad etc. etc.
Hugely over-rated, but loved/promoted by self loathing hand wringing Liberals everywhere. Many of whom seem to not realize it is in fact a drama and not a documentary (including our Prime Minister). 😆

Yes, I know that - it was exactly my point. JohnnyF posted a picture of a lead and zinc mine with a comment about the EV boat being so green.
So I asked him how much lead and zinc are in the LTP batteries. You know, I know, the answer is zero. Poor little Johnny obviously doesn't have a clue.I'll post a disclaimer next time, for the pedants on the forum. 😆

No surprise.
Starmer was a human rights lawyer and still is a Remainer. He has no respect for the people who voted to leave the EU.
He will do as much to reverse Brexit as he possibly can before he loses power, despite having no mandate to do so.

Does anyone even watch modern movies these days?
I can't remember the last good one.
I don't go the the cinema to be lectured to about women's empowerment or some other Woke rubbish.
Even Netflix is now trotting out politically motivated garbage like Adolesence and "Harry and Meghan". The Western movie industry is dying, particularly Hollywood.

There you are baselessly imagining and posting that I have zero thought or empathy for the child victims of the child rape gangs, pure ad hominem.Having invited me into the discussion by tagging me, you take offense at my point of view.
Perhaps that’s your whole point Jonny, your insatiable appetite to be offended.
If you don’t like my point of view, don’t tag me to invite me into the discussion.
I thought it would be interesting to get your point of view as someone who claims to stand up for women's and girl's human rights and safety.
I didn't for one minute expect you to agree with the callous, disgusting remarks. Let alone add to them. It was certainly enlightening.
In hindsight, perhaps you should have sat this one out. 😆

Not only was this cruel and callous but it was politically inane.
Especially when people see Billions going to Ukraine, net zero, migrant hotels etc.
Labour are unfit to govern.

Reminds me of Biden pretending to get tough on immigration. Didn't work for him and it won't work for Starmer.
4 hours ago, Social Media said:Chris Philp, the shadow home secretary, dismissed the plans, saying, “This is a desperate response to the thrashing Labour got in last week’s elections, but like everything Starmer offers, it is just performative and won’t make a difference.
Exactly. Well said. Starmer has lost all credibility. The mask has slipped and we've seen what's behind it. Labour are done and imprisoning more people for tweets clumsily highlighting this mess won't silence people and won't save him.

You made the point yourself, very clearly.

You see this purely in political terms. It's a political hot potato that you'd like to see disappear, and hence you have zero thought or empathy for the child rape victims or finding justice. You assume everyone else shares this callous 'point scoring' attitude. You are projecting.
You're as bad as she is. But at least you have the sense to do it anonymously.

You should Google "white guilt" and "self loathing" before you post such nonsense on a public forum. Although I'm quite sure you have first hand experience if you start being honest for once.
Modern Labour hate Britain especially the white working working class. Emily Thornberry's tweet was a great example. The mask slipped but the sentiment runs deep.
The dog whistle comment by Lucy Powell about the decades long systemic rape of poor working class girls in the North. Shameful.
That's before we even start on the 2 tier sentencing guidlines stacked against the indigenous population.
They are the opposite of what they stood for in the 70's and 80's. A bunch of liberal elitists pontificating from their 4 story town houses in Islington. They loathe the people they used to represent.
Rayner, Starmer, Cooper. Absolute clowns. Out of their depth. Never mind DEI Lammy.
I'd be amazed if they last the full term. Only dinosaurs like you even still defend them. Put a fork in them. They're done.

4 minutes ago, RayC said:That definition (of a Briton) seems to encompass all individuals born in GB, wouldn't you agree?
A 'Yes' will suffice but, prior warning, be prepared for a 'Please elaborate' from me if you reply 'No'.
You know very well what Indigenous means Ray. If someone moves to Britain from another continent and has a child, that child is obviously not indigenous to Britain.
Same as the Maori are indigenous to NZ and Aboriginals are indigenous to Australia. If a Chinese couple move to NZ and have a child, that child is not an indigenous New Zealander.
Please stop asking disingenuous, stupid questions that you already know the answer to. Oh, and before you ask...

Is she totally mad? 😃
Yes Louise, after attacking freedom of speech, freezing the pensioners, introducing 2 tier justice, flooding the country with illegal immigrants, hiking national insurance for employers, putting VAT on private education and attempting to destroy the farming community, I'm sure a raise on income tax after promising not to will turn it all around for Labour. 😃

Well, the US already had a black President so you must be saying it's because she's a woman.
Why not just accept she's a terrible candidate with inane policies? Even The Dems disliked her so much she couldn't face the normal Democratic process to be the candidate. I guess they are all misogynists as well? 😃

But in many ways she was served an unfair deck by the timing of Bidem's exit.
So we saw something historically weird and difficult.
So I'm just saying she deserves to compete in the primaries
I really hope she runs again. 😃
But the Dems will have to keep her away from the primaries same as last time, she is totally incapable of winning votes.
If she went into a rocking Pattaya gogo at 11pm and promised free drinks and barfines most people would get up and go next door.
