  1. I can truly recommend ENZARNY as a Top Class tailor.

Just get 3 suits, a tux and 12 shirts done as well as 3 ladies evening dresses.

Absolute quality work and service. Exellent fabric selection. (check the 2nd floor)

Prices and very reasonable but certainly not on the cheap side.

    Great value for money.

Works mainly for European and US customers.

    Consider 16-18k for a suit

The shop is located near the Oriental hotel.

After checking out a lot of tailors in Bangkok I would recommend Enzarny. They are right across the Street from Shangri-La Hotel (The exit of the more upscale part of the hotel, on the way to the skytrain station). Great fabrics, and definitely no "89 Dollars, 5 shirts and a lot of polyester included" crap. I recommended the shop (ask for Mr. Aek) to some friends and business associates of mine, who were also very happy with their suits. They (the friends and associates) are working for some top corporations from Germany, an environment where people know what a good suit and good fabrics should look like. And no, I do NOT get any commissions for this recommendation. Warning: Enzarny is not the cheapest store in town, but as some forum members pointed out: You get what you pay for. Also: The shop and its decoration look very nice and stylish, compared to some abominations I have seen (especially around sukhumvit). There is another shop that made (optically) a good impression: The one in the lobby of the Lebua (State Tower) hotel, although it goes by the rather bizarre name of "World of Johnny).

  4. There was an article in the Bangkok Post about this case today, just as I read the first line, we were called into the doctor's office. I forgot the paper afterwards and left...

Page 2 or 3, small article.

Prosecuters have postponed the decision as to whether or not to send him to trial for murder.

Decision will now be made on Jan 31st. :o

    It's Feb 08 2008.

Could find any news at all.

I wonder if anyone has an update on the issue.

Postponed again, wiped under the carpet, paid off ?????

Guess we all want to see that prick behind bars.

  5. You can murder sombody and pay the family a few bucks..case closed?

    THE NATION

He has been released on a bail guarantee worth Bt1 million.

Kanpitak, son of former Miss Thailand Savinee Pakaranang, has been charged with premeditated murder, attempted murder and assault. The case will be heard on December 25.

According to the investigation report, Kanpitak was involved in a brawl with bus driver Sathaphorn Arunsiri and later threw a rock at him after they had argued over a minor traffic incident.

The accused later went back to his Mercedes car and drove into a crowd of people waiting at a bus stop at Sukhumvit Soi 26, killing Bangkok Mass Transit Authority employee Saichon Luangsaeng. Many people were injured in the accident.

  6. Though I don't agree with Mr Toad's contribution, I've always assumed the Id comes from Wind in the Willows, which may just prove my naivety.

YES, it was the Consulate in Essen. No trouble at all and nice and very friendly staff.

BTW, just got the information that the Consulate in Basel-Switzerland issues Visas of for Swiss residents only.

Switzerland was on my agenda as I have family living there and wanted to combine the visa application with a visit.

  8. No hes indicated he has no WP and is clearly asking on where to go to get a 1 year multiple entry..
I need to apply for a fresh 1 year Non-B multiple entry soon.
After reading the forum I understand this is only possible by leaving the kingdom and most likely Asia.

Thanks very much for all your answers.

Indeed, I do not have a work permit and supposely I can't apply for an extension of my current 1 Year Non-B.

Hence I would like to apply for a new 1 year Non-B with multiple entries.

My current Visa was issued in German last year just with an company invitation letter. 15 Minutes, no questions asked.

Seems that Brisbane or Perth is now the place to go.

Will contact them before leaving to ask what docs are required.

    Again, thanks for your contributions.

  9. Dear All,

I am a German national, 51 and have stayed in Thailand on a 1 year Non-B Multiple in Thailand for the past 10 months, doing Cambodia runs every 90 days.

    I don’t work and don’t have a WP.

As my current visa expires in November 07 (Feb 08), I need to apply for a fresh 1 year Non-B multiple entry soon.

After reading the forum I understand this is only possible by leaving the kingdom and most likely Asia.

Where would the best and nearest place to submit my application?

A corporate sponsor letter with the prospect of future employment can be provided.

I would like to avoid going back to Germany. This will be the last and final option.

Looking over the Thaivisa posts the message is….. "avoid the region".

If so, any advice on, where to go and what is required to apply would be highly appreciated. (Australia perhaps?)

    Tnx - rheinwiese
