Do you get an accepted stamp with the place in jomtien? I heard there is a stamp but it's from the translation company....
is this stamp accepted by the uk embassy as part of an application for a first child's passport or do I need to get further validation with a stamp from Thai immigration in bkk (Chang wattana)? (As suggested by the gentleman above)
many thanks for the replIes

A translation is nothing more than an a4 piece of paper with the same info and same formatting as the Thai original, right?
i could get one of Thai teacher friends to translate it to English and make it up in Microsoft word the same as the original and take it to Chaney wattana for authentification, right?
i know there would be mistakes but in theory if it was perfectly translated by a regular joe and submitted with the Thai original, Chang wattana would stamp it?
(not sure if I'm being really naive)

Hello All
I've been working here for a while with a healthy bank account. I'm loathe to change my English pounds into baht. can I get a mortgage for a house here. A friend said I cannot - it would need to be a corporate loan to a set-up company...
Can anyone shed any light?
regards to all on here nonetheless

Hello All
I need to take imuran (azathioprine) and the best price I can find is 20 baht per 50mg tablet
I wonder if I can get it cheaper - I need to take 3 tablets a day
I'd be happy to get generic copies of azathioprine if they are notably cheaper
Thanks to anyone who has any knowledge of this and can help
and, as ever, regards to all on here

Hello all
I need to replace my cracked iPad screen and don't want to pay Apple prices. Are there alternatives locally? Has anyone bought a third party replacement? How much does it costs?
thanks to anyone who can help and regards to all

Ah right. I imagine the sky will be full of those floating paper lanterns on NYE then. That'll be a spectacle

Is it true there's no fireworks in Pattaya on NYE as a mark of respect for the king?

I'm coming from the south side so that'll do.
Thanks.

Hello All
I'm renewing my teaching visa and need to get my certificates verified by the uk embassy. I've been told I can just walk in with my documents and get the verification paper there and then. Is this true?
thanks in advance and regards to all on here

I've lived in BS for a few years and I wouldn't go in the sea there now. It's very shallow. It will be rancid once that new block is finished. Shitsville...

Hello All
Do the 'unofficial' Ipad/HDMI cables and adapters work? Are they reliable?
The copied power wires are tempremental, I imagine the HDMIs are worse...
Anyone using them?

Translate Thai birth cert into English in Pattaya?
in Pattaya

Thanks, that's good enough for me. I was quoted 400 for the translation or 5000 for them to go to CW and get me the stamp. I've been to CW before and it's a minor hinderance. So I'll take the BC and translated BC up there for a validation stamp myself.
