Hello all
I had to break the quarterlight on my nissan nv.
In England, I'd be down to the scrapyard looking for a cheap replacement before going to a dealer.
Where are the scrapyards/breakers around Pattaya? I'm in Bang Sare...
Cheers to anyone who can help.

Thanks for replies...went in Friendship and Tuckom and they didn't have them (friendship had some small obscure substitutes to regular ones apparently)
I live in Bang Sare and they're for a friend who has just arrived in Jomtien.
I never saw them before and they look quite preposterous to me.... but if they help you get off cigarettes, thats a good thing
Cheers for the replies
Will checkout the beach tonight

Hello All
I want to get the Thai fonts so my gf can view subtitles on downloaded movies (.srt files)
But I don't have thai fonts on my windows PC
I don't have a web connection at home
So I want to download them at work and take them home and add them.
But I've found I can only get them with an active connection and cannot download the fonts to take home.
How do I do it?
Many thanks to anyone who knows and can help

Hello All
I have 2 friends ( a chap and his wife from England) coming on the 28th November for 2 months.
I was hoping to get them into a studio in View Talay 2a, 2b or View Talay 5 - something like that.
Anyone know of anything?
Deposit and rent up front for a nice place.

Anything going on around here for Magha Puja?
Bars closed on Monday I presume(?)
I have friends coming and am wondering where would be a good place to take them to - traditional Thai and all that...
What happens at Nong Nooch - anything of note (the site says nothing)?
an interesting temple that'll have stuff going on for the celebration?
Or any other ideas would be appreciated ....

Hello All
I'm meeting with the Thai manager of a Euro-Thai Engineering SME firm tomorrow to teach about 20 adult students from their company.
I imagine it will be General and Business English.
Written, reading and, I guess, predominantly conversation English.
I will be supplying all the supporting materials like worksheets, dialogues, vocab and grammar sheets as needed.
I think it will be for 1 or 2 hours every week.
What should I charge? What is the going rate?
I'm qualified in that I've been teaching here for 6 years, have a non-imm B, and my backrgound and UK degree is in Business and IT.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
and regards to all on here

Hello All
This may be a stupid question...
I've been teaching here for 5 years - I haven't been doing this through the books as I've been happy enough on my non-imm o so far.
Now my school wants to put me through the books and give me a non-b and all that...
I am English, I have a Bsc (hons) from a UK university (and some TEFL crash course certificate that probably isn't worth the paper it is written on)
My boss here says I need a TOEIC - even though I'm obviously a native speaker. She says its a new stipulation in Thailand regardless of me being English.
This doesn't make sense to me - is it true?
Thanks to anyone who can shed light
and regards to all on here

Hello All
Before I get my work permit, I've been told I need to pass the TOEIC test.
Where can I take this test in Chonburi (Sattahip/Pattaya)?
How much does it cost?
Many thanks to anyone who can help...
