  1. I understand, almost instant gratification..so what would you do if you fell head over heels in love with a very comely Thai lass, and your willy was still dry after 3 dates?? ..ditch her???..

When dating a girl, you have to quickly get rid of the psychos, the holy virgins or low drive girls. Otherwise you will be wasting your time.

The 3-date rule works well: I give her a chance to get to know me and start a relationship. She has a few days to consider that, to see if our chemistry fits. But I'm also a man with certain desires, and I do not let girls play with me.

So she can decide, or I move on. Don't waste time with girls who from the beginning neglect your sexuality.

  2. The road in Bangkok where I lived, had four 7/11 and three short time hotels. And this was a normal neighbourhood, far from the tourist spots.

    Go figure...

In my personal experience, I follow the same standards I have with women in the West: never date more than 3 times without being laid. It works in 90% of all dates. Women are not different in the West or in Thailand. Some just pretend to....

  3. PH: crap food, crap infrastructure, nicer beaches and nature, people more friendly, the educated speak good english and are far more intelligent than their Thai counterparts.

TH: much better food and infrastructure, girls are more sexy and slimmer. Culture more diverse too.

  4. Whatever you do show no weakness, women hate that. If she is being weird, give er some space and go out to play.

Life is too short to take crap.

    Exactly.

And forget the crap with flowers etc. This is only for the inexperienced. Women do come back here, faster than you would believe. Just don't show them too much interest.

And remember: there is no need to cry after a lost love. There are heaps of proper girls here, just go and look for them. Make yourself the price - not the other way round.

  5. There is a big chance you are in an area where there is a high amount of phone users.

GSM systems give priority to voice calls, so when a lot of calls are being made, time slots are taken away from data connections to accomodate those calls.

You get up to 4 time slots, each allowing a maximum of 60 kbps, so when it's busy and you get just 1 slot, the theoretical max speed would be 60 kbps (but in real life will be more like 30-50 kbps)

    Technically speaking, you are right.

But practically, today the speed is fine during the whole day, but was terrible last night at 2am. No technical logic applies here - I think AIS is just plain crap. Will switch soon to DTAC and report my experiences here.

  6. Thanks again.

We stayed in Bangkok City Suite some years ago. Everything is what we expect, but too fare away.

PR Place could be an option. Thanks.

Check it out yourself before making a booking. The area is very ugly, polluted and trashy and not easy to walk. There is also no BTS/MRT nearby, you will depend on taxis.

If you are so much into shopping, it is more advisable to stay in the Siam Sq. area, near BTS/MBK and major shopping centers. Soi Kasemsan 1 has decent hotels and GH in the 500-1500 range, much more pleasant than Pratunam.

  7. I line in the On Nut area and my AIS Edge connection is great. Streaming radio without much interruption. Websites load quickly.

    I envy you.

This morning it was better here, there seems to be no logic when it works or when not. As the speed is sometimes even below simple GPRS, I believe it is not just the connection to the base station, but the internet inside AIS servers. Pages don't load fully, connection interrupted and such.

Often my free True Wifi (green Bangkok wifi) with only 64kb is way faster.

  8. I use GPRS/EDGE as my internet connection. Used to work ok with DL speeds of 250 kb/sec at good times.

Now it is just unbearable slow since a few days, a single page sometimes needs minutes to load. Reminds me of the internet connection in Myanmar......

I have a strong signal, live in an upper floor in Bangkok, so this is not the problem. Even after midnight, the connection is dead slow.

What are your experiences? Shall I switch to DTAC? I need internet here, cannot stand this crap anymore.

  9. Equally disgusting are fat western men who insist on going shirtless or even worse shirtless and in a speedo with no concept of local (or anyone else for that matter) sensibilities.

Sometimes the men are in better shape than their other halves... :o

Not sometimes, but quite common for couples over 40, that the man is in far better shape.

Only in "politically correct circles", like ThaiVisa, older men are regarded as fat, smelly, disgusting.

While older women, well, just have female curves.....

  10. What is up with all those farang women showing all that skin? Have they no shame or modesty?

    Indeed.

In fact in most Western countries, whenever a little sunshine appears, they take off most or all their clothes.

I regard this as a serious case of sexual harassment: I just don't want to see asses and tits when not asked for.

Therefore I appreciate the modesty in Thailand and Asia.

  11. Means 30 years of age gap. SHAME. I'm saying this from my point of view. If I was his daughter, I wouldn't dare to look at him straight in the eyes anymore. Do you think she is in love with the old sick guy? awww... I think Im gonna cry.

    Shame on you!

For your insults on a sick man. He deserves happiness as everbody else. The age gap is irrelevant - men always go for younger women.

I wish the OP good luck on this difficult path.
