Tern using garbage as a resting platform
Spent the whole day in Gulf of Thailand and it was a chocking experience. Garbage and garbage. We are playing on our mobile phones discussing the latest YouTube movie while we're killing ourselves

Now it is time for my fruit salad after long time trying to identify this bird. I thought from the beginning that it was a Scaly breasted Munia. Maybe a juvenile so I put this down as a juvenile Scaly breasted Munia
There was a group of them (all juvenile) enjoying the morning eating in the grass
An adventure to go birding

And the crows, very frustrating. I got interested when I discovered how many different crows there are, but frustrating to identify them as they look the same. Well, except for the normal grey and black crow: House crow, that one is easy enough. Again, risking to make a tit out of myself I put this down as a Slender- billed crow. Forehead is flat compared with the Large-billed crow yesterday with the steep forehead
I imagine this tail to be square ended that the crow yesterday
Slender-billed crow? Other opinions are appreciated

Cattle Egret looking for breakfast
Here we have 2 give aways that it is not a Little Egret
1) Walking around on pastures
2) Yellow bill
I never managed to get a picture of the feet. But you have to take my word for it, the feet are black

Crows, pretty boring. But they are actually (my very own opinion that I won't try to push on to anyone else) quite beautiful. A crow, simple, but when I came home I discovered that there are plenty crows and they are all looking the same in my book A Field Guide to the Birds of Thailand and South East Asia by Craig Robson
But I'm going to put this down as a Large Billed Crow risking to make a tit out of my self

Been to AV camera to buy the GoodsGood GD 140 dry cabinet. Will be delivered tomorrow and I cant wait to get my gear in to the dry cabinet. Anyway, I walked to school and I passed through Lumpini park. Where I spotted a shrike.
Thanks to Thaivisa and the birds in my garden folder I have learned a little about Shrikes. And I really wished we only had one bird folder here on Thaivisa.
Anyway, thanks to Thaivisa I knew it was a Shrike and I put it down as a Brown Shrike
And our Brown Shrike have a friend

I must apologize, it seems I misinterpreted your post. Yes the photo was taken outside of Thailand and I am fully aware of the guideline “related to Thailand”; hence why I asked in my first post if it was appropriate if I posted. Maybe the mods should change it to “taken in Thailand”. I posted the Wallaby pics as I thought members might find it interesting with the joey in the pouch.
I will reframe from posting any more nature photos until I have some from within Thailand. (Personally I can’t see how nature can be contained within borders).
In the meantime thank you to those who showed interest in my posts. Since posting here I can now appreciate the time and effort some of you put into your photography.
Why don't you post in WIDE WORLD folder? Would love to see your pictures. The Superb Fairy-Wren, one of my favourite birds in Australia

You don't live in a bad place either. Have checked out birding on Koh Samui and it seems to be a beautiful place. I'm in Bangladesh so I had to cancel my Bali trip. But I will go there in January to try out my new wet suit and underwater camera equipment preparing for the big humpback whale adventure on Tonga
I will got to Udon Thani in January and I will also go to Koh Samui to watch the birds. I just passed by Koh Samui ( 10 minutes stop to drop some passengers) 25-30 years ago on our way to the other island. Don't remember the name, but there was no electricity and well, back then we were only in for the party
But the was no electricity on the "other island" and we wanted to have music. We have heard about this "party island" but only mushroom omelettes and beer
I put 3 slides here just to avoid wasting my post quota on posts with no pictures. All of them from the "other island" and I guess it looks pretty different today
There was noting to spend your money on
My friend having a power nap waiting for them to turn on the electricity
The "other island" turned out to be pretty boring as they didn't have any electricity and music so we took the evening ferry back to the main land.
On the ferry back to the main land where we took a taxi to Phuket

And as he would never catch a wife with his “disc” of shit our hero had to step in to help him. And as almost the whole country of Botswana is a national park. You are not even allowed to take a twig or a small rock.
So it took quite some convincing to talk the driver/ guide to let me help the dung beetle. The girls are giving each of the shit balls a thorough examination before they decide to jump on board the ball to set-up her new home. So it needs to be a great ball
First we needed to get the shit wet
Making a ball out of the disc, and as it was a nice beetle some new shit was added
Off he goes with his shit to look for a new wife. And he looked happy when he left with his new ball

I saw your "MINI" dung beetle in another folder. One of my favourite animals in Botswana, never mind the lions that was only sleeping
The dung beetle is a truly fascinated animal. And they are quick, just turn you head and back and they are 15 meters away
Always fun to watch them and here we have a fight. The dung beetle don't mind stealing another beetle's ball of shit
I was on the way back to my room after 11 hours of safari when I spotted a dung beetle fighting with is “shit” His ball was in the shape of a disc and he was really struggling to shape it in to a ball

Who is paying for this? Germany, Holland, Sweden and UK. UK is leaving and as someone said. They are bending backwards to keep them in the EU
And they are throwing everything against UK to make it hard for them. Treating a friend like an enemy threaten with this and that while trading with China. And of course, they all want money from EU, the only reason for them to join. Albania and countries like this are waiting to join, God help EU
My only hope is that they cannot afford to keep the farce going when UK leaves but I guess Germany and Sweden will save their faces and they will pay until they have run everything to s**t It is already shit and it is getting worse by the year. Nothing has become better
They threw us some pearls like travel without passport and no need to exchange money. Free movement of people, I have always moved free within Europe. But they mean cheap labour but they always talk about the tourists (how easy it is to go for holiday) like we don't understand what they really mean
North have always supported the south, look at all the empty highways (best highways I have ever seen) in Portugal and Spain. But now they have run out of money

... I was so surprised to discover that the leopard came towards me. I had though the cat had disappeared.
Yes, I was very happy to discover that the leopard came towards me and not walking away. A cat's way of giving me the finger?
Leopard, I have a hard time to imagine a more beautiful cat! And I'm pretty sure this is the leopards way to give me the finger
