    Hi all,

    I have got a musky drain smell coming from the bathroom shower drain. I have tried baking soda, vinegar, hot soapy water, dishwashing liquid, blu loo cleaner, but nothing seems to work.

    I purchased these 4 tablets from the hardware, however I'm reluctant to drop them down the drain as when I tried one at the drain opening just sitting it in the circular cup at the top of the drain, I added water and it is bubbling, foaming and smells like some kind of acid gas ….

    I just didn't want to drop it down into PVC pipeware.

    Could it damage PVC piping if they are hydrochloric acid or sulfuric acid tablets   ????

    I have to agree 100% ….  it's really gone bad  !   and Australia is exactly the same.

    Try getting a forty hour a week job in Brisbane or Sydney … no chance,  maybe 10 hours a week if your lucky.

    The youth  of today and even the 20-40yr old will have zero or minimum superannuation, no chance of ever buying a house, forget that idea.

    It really is a mess ….

    very good John ….  Thailand is not as bad as some would like to have us believe. 

    I have always found most staff at hospitals, banks, supermarkets and restaurants to be as helpful as possible and always polite.

    In my home country you would probably have to wait 1-2 hours, then get a bill for $100 minimum.

    It never ceases to amaze me how the TV farang here like to continually slag Thailand and it's government. It must be sad being in a country that is so bad and everything and it's government is no good. Why the hell do you want to stay here then ???  move on … try Indonesia, Cambodia or Lao ….

    I'm sure you will be much happier there... lol 

    I love Thailand and it's people, I didn't come here to moan and bitch and whinge daily about the country and it's government, I respect Thailand for what it is and what it provides, I can jump through the circus hoops as needed and at the end of the day I just enjoy my life, unlike a lot of TV farang. 

    This government has bought stability and security to Thailand, it's economy is on track and it has implemented hundreds of projects as can be seen all over Thailand. This government has achieved more in the past 4 years than the previous did in 10 yrs.

    I welcome Thailand with open arms, and I don't care for the moaners that want to whinge all day.

    Good job Khun Prayut   …..     good luck to those who appreciate Thailand for what it is.

    sorry RJ, you are correct …. don't know what happened to me when I wrote my post but it looks like I was referring to the OP and somehow got the 53 yr old ( duuchkans ) age in my mind. I've gotta slow down on the beers … lol

     

    but as I did say, a young thai guy will likely not be interested in an older western unless he is willing to support him …. same in any country.
