Since last year a saw many taxis display QR code in the rear seating area and I found this to be very convenient but tourists probably cannot use this feature.

You would think their visa requests would be closely scrutinized given their abysmal record in Thailand with respect to crime and overstays.

I don’t see much of a change in Bangkok. Most (paying) passengers have not been given a helmet to wear. I rode twice this week. Some financial pain will have to be inflicted to force a change.

The amount requested by the court is ridiculously high but I remember she was Chairman of the Rice Committee and never attended one meeting so there is definitely some negligence here.

If only he has spent a little time in the prison but he was transferred to hospital his first night there . Everyone knows the truth.

I think some Thais are just curious or trying to make polite conversation with limited language skills. I am not offended by questions like this.

Jill is pushing him out there because they probably need the money with Hunter’s gravy train long gone. You don’t hear anything about a presidential library for him which is most unusual and I think few would buy his book if he is actually able to write one. Fade off into the sunset and take Pelosi and the other seniors with him.

Same in Silom for many years

There are altogether too many stories lately about foreigners being involved in some kind of violent altercation. Sad situation and I wonder if the 60 day visa exempt has anything to do with this.

The car involved was a Ferrari, not a Porsche as stated.

This is old news….when first announced months ago they said Thailand could have flights to USA as soon as February but everyone knew that could not happen. They probably don’t have the planes either. Probably the only A 340 left is the one taken over by the military and those planes were too expensive to operate on such long routes.

Journalistic values ? These were lost long ago which is why their viewership has fallen so much. When I first started living in Thailand 20 years ago I always looked forward to watching CNN. Not any more…largely FAKE NEWS. How can they think people will pay for subscriptions !

It could have been much worse….what if the earthquake was a year from now and the building was fully occupied with workers ? Building inspector could not have been doing his job and maybe his bank account should be checked.

Classic case of elder abuse by Jill and his senior staff. The Democrats still have no leader.

Immigration in Thailand needs to do a better job of screening certain types from certain countries. Very unlikely these women could afford to come to Thailand for a holiday.

Building Management is often complicit too by enabling access to short time visitors. I know of another instance where the management company owns a good number of condo units and rents out rooms just like a hotel. Visitors think nothing of going for a swim at 3 AM

She did not go to the Rice Committee Meetings anyway which would be negligence on her part but the resulting fine is a bit excessive.

Next they should bring the girls’ uniforms into the 21st century.

There is absolutely no enforcement of the law banning short term condo rentals. In my building in Silom there are signs banning such rentals and requesting they be reported yet the office facilitates them by taking fingerprints for the doors so that these renters can enter unassisted.

Has been promised for 10 years so will believe it when I see it. The 20b fare is really impossible because the capacity is not there on the main lines. There will be chaos if they move forward on that and the cost to the government (to pay MRT and BTS) would be enormous.

The first thing is to replace the oil-burning Tuk Tuk 2-stroke engines! They all burn oil because of their design. Get rid of Two-stroke machines and the air quality will improve in a year!
Would also cut down on unnecessary noise too. They love to rev up their “engines” while speeding down sois.

Trump is using a negotiation ploy to get other countries in the region involved to develop solutions for the (many) decades old Gaza problem. They (of course) objected to Trump’s proposal so let them come forth with their suggestions.

A good start would be to have one card covering BTS, MRT and Airport Link. This was promised 10 years ago by the Junta.

No attention at all being paid to CAPACITY ! The Sukhumvit and Silom lines will be severely overcrowded during rush hours. Also nothing has been said about where they found the money to fund this program.
