Bring CD of your MRI with you. He will do an Xray there (he has his own special protocol for Xrays).

 

As you might know, this condition is often treated by vertebroplasty which is a minimally invasive technique which injects liquid cement into the bone.

 

For physical therapy. get Prof Wicharn advice before starting it. You might then like to use the BNH hospital PT department or, if not, this stand alone PT place is recommended by many (but bring with you detailed instruction from doctor)

Prof Wicharn is available only twice a week and in high demand plus he often travels abroad so book early to see him.

Dr. Wicharn is the best. He operated on my back 14 years ago and I walked home 40 hours later. 

No mention of the 5 A340’s which were sitting around for many years. 6 if you count the one taken by Thai Military. Maybe some were sold

I remember when Prayut had his first cabinet meeting and he asked for Tarit to identify himself. He already had a bad reputation back in 2014. It’s great that he is in jail !

I have lived in Bangkok for about 7 months a year since 2004. I lived in 2 different buildings (condo rental) in Silom but now must find a new place. Initially I was very impressed by the number of listings on various agent websites but when I started to inquire I found that 90%  these units were not available (bogus listings or units already rented). I thought the Airport Link was operated by SRT which would explain the maintenance issues. I wonder if CP Group took over recently- would have made sense for BTS to have this responsibility. To the best of my knowledge the fares have not increased at all since the line was opened ( still 45b from Phaya Thai to airport) so this must be a losing proposition which is probably subsidized by the government. 

He must have had a huge infusion of Red Bull (or some drug) before making this appearance which was very uncharacteristic as Americans have noticed a steady decline in his mental and physical condition during the past three years. This was the most partisan State of Union speech I have heard in my lifetime and it was delivered by an angry old man. Very disappointing but not really surprised.

I think they should pay BTS the balance of the money owed to them before starting new projects.

I have found it best to have a rule not to loan money in Thailand. In 19 years I have lost only 10,000 b which is not bad. If I see a good friend in need I would rather make the offer to help him out with a gift of money which was very much appreciated during Covid when I was stuck in my home country. 

A quarterly meeting would be more appropriate. Weekly meetings should be refused.

Speed boats used here are poorly built (thin hull) and often overpowered. Then they load boats with too many people and the captain drives like a cowboy. A recipe for disaster.

I stay here 7 months a year and plan to bring cash from USA when I return to Bangkok if taxation actually becomes an issue. One is allowed to bring in $20,000 without declaration.  I have gotten very used to paying by QR code here though and it is very convenient . 

I live in Silom and there is always traffic here but sometimes at rush hour ambulances get stuck in traffic and there is literally no place for the cars in front of them to go yet they keep the siren going at full blast. 

You received some good financial/legal advice here but the first change I would make is to turn on the air conditioning- at least at night for comfortable sleep.

The debt is supposedly 40 billion b not 22 billion. Anyway it is good to see that the new government is finally taking some action after Prayut and his cronies kicked the can down the road for years. This is a valid debt.

I am dying to see how they will fund all of their populist schemes. If the VAT had been increased by just .25% a year it would have been at 8% a few years ago.

The 20 b transport plan is of particular interest. I hope the BTS does not cooperate until the government has paid them the very substantial amount they owe.

Probably figures that getting caught sleeping all the time during parliamentary sessions is not worth it. At 78 he is well beyond normal retirement age anyway.

They better think about settling a very large long-standing debt with the BTS first since Prayut kicked the can down the road. Will be interesting to see how the new government finances all of their goodies.
