According to THAI's own website, their fleet currently consists of 43 aircraft plus another 20 for Thai Smile, taking the total fleet size to 63. Prior to the pandemic, the airline had been operating six Airbus A380s as well as nine Boeing 747-400s. All of these large aircraft were sent into storage over the course of 2020 and it looks like they will be permanently retired. In addition, pre-pandemic, the airline also had a fleet of 15 A330-300s with an average age of 11 years with some of these being very young aircraft. Not sure what's going to happen to these aircraft but I don't think think they are operation, nor do they form of THAI's fleet on the website. So it looks like THAI's pre-pandemic fleet has decreased by a total of 30 aircraft.

On their website they would list only the active fleet. I know all of the 747’s were sold already but I think they still have a few A-340’s which are hard to sell because they have 4 engines. I think they planned to return some A-380’s to the lessor.

  2. Biden is a feeble old man, getting worse by the day. He will be lucky to be able to finish his first term. He is a puppet controlled by others who have some radical policies. Shame on his wife for even letting him run the first time. There is a very good reason he never has press conferences. Also I think the Hunter Biden laptop scandal could bring him down as the Congressional committee has so far found that 12 Bidens have received overseas money and you can be sure a good amount went to Old Joe.

  3. It was announced that they are not closing Silom Rd for water throwing this year. It was suggested that people use sidewalks and side streets instead which is totally inadequate- some smaller sois are even closed for water. I predict that there will be so many people they will just spill over into the main road anyway.

  4. I have a Filipino teacher friend in Rayong. His school was slow putting documents together so he had to make a border run to Savanakhet a few weeks ago to get visa exempt entry. Now the documents are complete but he is hoping there is a way to get his Non B visa in Thailand to avoid another long van trip to Savannaket with overnight stay. Is this possible ?
