The pump will do more work if the engine side is working harder. However, it is not a good idea to stop the pressure of water within the pump. So a little bit of squirting out here and there is OK. The flow, with this set up, is about 40 liters a minute. The same pump at the same speed will pump 240 liters a minute through a two inch diameter pipe.
So even now it is terribly wasteful. Really, it the wrong type of pump for a garden hose. But this is Thailand after all.
I'm looking at a solar pump. One that floats on the water.
Regarding a solar pump.
I've read quite a bit regarding solar hot water in Thailand. I did some testing a few years back, but due to lack of cash never got the LDPE pipe fitted onto our rear porch roof. You can see the text in the image below regarding the temperature. The testing itself on the round patio was a big success.
The tap in the top left of the photo was the water out, where I tested the temperature.
The pipe going into the centre of the coil was the mains water in (fed from our water storage tanks then via the pump feeding the rest of the house).
However, I have read some people have used a solar pump to circulate the hot water from the black LDPE into an insulated storage tank, to provided more hot water.
As only a small flow rate was needed, I don't know if 40 litres/minute that you mentioned is what a small solar-powered pimp can easily provide? The pump in the second image is one that Amorn was selling. They also sell a large range of solar panels too, although they are more expensive.
If you went down that route, make sure the solar panel is located somewhere it can't 'disappear' easily overnight.I'm sure someone with more knowledge could comment.

Then I wired them up. Perfect! I started the pump. Double the flow at the same pump revolutions. Mrs Owl was pleased with my efforts. I could be in luck later. The way to an Isaan lady's heart is more flow.
More flow - I thought that was down to Tamosolin? Those not in the know can google it.

Just how much of a masochist are you?
Someone once said, "Polygamy is having one wife too many. Monogamy is the same."
The version I like is
Having 3 or 4 wives is Polygamy. Having 1 wife is Monotony
Edited 2 hours ago by overherebc
Very good!
Actually in my hurry totripetype faster, I misquoted it. It should have been, "Bigamy is having one wife too many. Monogamy is the same."
Just looked it up, it was said by Oscar Wilde (I was surprised to read Wilde was married and had two children). -

True, but I'm sure it's a wet dream in the making for immigration. Think of all the multiple copies of paperwork needed as part of an 'ongoing review' to ensure your continual eligibility for a visa or PR.

Prawns have 3 sets of legs while shrimps have only one but given that most people rip them off anyway it probably don't make much difference ..
Unless of course you're drunk in which case it probably won't matter anyway ..
What do you call an adult movie made under the sea .?

Crikey colluption in the LOS .! Who'd have thought that ..
Being cynical, has his pledge to stamp out corruption when he seized power, now morphed into a bigger pot for less recipients?

Hahahaha .. he might want to rephrase that ..
The reason for cooperating is so he knows who's screwing who.

Did you look in the menu to see whether a link to it now appears there? I like Qbittorent best and should be available via synaptic as well. Suggest you go for that.
Yes, I went through all the programs and I can't see it anywhere.
qBittorrent is what I always use.

A month!
In Pattaya it's been taking years and it's nowhere near complete.

You can install via a script - I’m guessing you are using Ubuntu, which I’m not too familiar with, is there some kind of terminal?
rtorrent is mainly for servers, but it has a web interface Rutorrent - If the problem is with your client, then it might get you up and running again.
I use Mint Cinnamon.
Thanks for your help. However I clicked n the link above, but already it's lost me. Is this not some straightforward torrent program to install and use?

Thanks, I've never heard of it.
I used synaptic package manager and d/l it, but I can't see where it's installed. Is is a separate program somewhere?

What’s the problem TVCUK?
If I knew that, I wouldn't have a problem - ha ha!
Since they moved to a new host I just can't get torrents to d/l. I spoke with tech help, but it wasn't easily resolved.
I didn't persist, as at the time they were overwhelmed with similar issues.
I should really ask again now I assume everything is smoothed out at their end.I use qBittorent on Linux which worked fine before they moved, afterwards it refused to started downloading.

I guess next TAT will make some inspirational videos in Nana.
Maybe something like this:
Interesting in the video they need to make the point with the caption "100% real ladies".
Good job the caption-writer wasn't dyslexic, or they might have accidentally used two 'd's.

Confused that's UG 200pr cable not aerial the weight is colossal to be strung up between poles and wouldn't need to be cut down it would fall down in a breeze ????
So that's why the poles fall down, nothing to do with vehicles hitting them - ha ha!
Having said that, perhaps it was a new underground cable duct the cable was liberated from, and 'a bamboo ladder taken into evidence' was used to climb down into the ductwork.
(OK, that was sarcasm)
